It was truly exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a beautiful traditional Japanese atmosphere. We removed our shoes to walk on tatami, were served tea during check-in, and even received small origami gifts. Staff brought our luggage up to the room, and when we entered… wow! It was a spacious, beautifully decorated Japanese-style room with a stunning view of the Hiroshima Dome. The room had two baskets: one with tea and matcha-making items, and another with onsen accessories. The on-site restaurant is good, highly recommended. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner during check-in, a truly lovely lady. The tram stop is just two minutes away, making it easy to reach both the train station and Miyajima. And the Peace Memorial Dome is literally at the doorstep.

Absolutely nothing, everything was perfect!

The room was a traditional style room with tatami matts and futon to sleep on. The view was amazing overlooking the A-bomb dome. The coffee table and chairs allow you to sit and admire. The location is fantastic with short walks to the tram, train, food mall and of course the memorials. Decent size bathtub with a separate toilet. Vending machine in the building for a quick beverage. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

The aircon was a little hit and miss on temperature. Google maps is slightly outdated on location (directs to side street) and signage was not seen from down the street.

Hiroshima no Yado Aioi stands out for its exceptional location—right next to the Peace Memorial Park, offering a truly unique and meaningful view. Our room was spacious, which is always a plus in Japan, and the breakfast was delicious, featuring local specialties that gave us a real taste of the region. The staff was incredibly kind and polite, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

The only slight downside was that, given the price, we expected something a bit more refined. The room showed some signs of aging, which made it feel a little less polished than anticipated. That said, for the location, service, and comfort, it's still a solid choice for a stay in Hiroshima.

Family operated quaint traditional Ryokan directly across the Hiroshima Peace Park, Museum and Genbaku. A 10 min bus or tram ride from Hiroshima train station. You will be warmly welcomed by the exceptional staff who will provide a sweet treat upon checkin. The rooms are spacious, like apartments with a front foyer, separate toilet room, bath room, living area and kitchenette. Tatami floors line the room. Futons are provided for sleeping. If you have back issues you may not enjoy this tour of bed. The private dining room provides a peaceful setting for an outstanding 10 course Kaiseki dinner. Truly a treat. Cannot praise the staff enough. They made our stay. They even filled out all our luggage delivery forms for us, held our luggage 2 days before our stay and kept our bags after checkin. If you are looking for a traditional Ryokan experience this is it

Lovely old world style Ryokan, with view of dome directly from our room on 4th floor.. private onsen style bath was nice too. Wonderful selection of Pola toiletries, including moisturiser and body lotions. The room is exceptional, very large.. 12 tatami mats with Futon beds which you set up yourself. Tea set and small cake were waiting for us, and even at check-in, a small origami heart with chocolate was a sweet touch. Breakfast was very generous. Cook at the table eggs and sausage. Hiroshima Peace Park is just a short stroll, and a shopping arcade with great restaurants is close by, as is the Miyajima Island ferry terminal, so it's easy to get an early start. To visit the island. It is little dated, and the private hot pool is quaint with pink tiles - but that adds to the charm. We weren't looking for a cookie cutter chain hotel. One minor negative.. carpet is very worn in places and repaired with tape, which is unsightly and could be a tripping hazard.

Everything about the hotel was awesome. The location was second to none. Right across the road to the Peace Park and Bomb Dome. You were a minute walk from here. Street car (tram) right near the hotel too. The staff were absolutely awesome. A special mention to Aoki Kotaro who looked after us at breakfast. He was such a charming, kind, friendly young man, who went out of his way to help. Thank you Aoki! The breakfast was next level too. Best breakfast that we’ve had in Japan!! The public bath on the top floor was incredible and a wonderful way to Finnish a busy day of walking! Highly recommend this ryokan.

The hotel is on a great place in Hiroshima right next to the Atomic Bomb Dome and Aioi bridge. Many popular places to visit are well withing walking distance and Miyajima is reachable easily via a tram right next to the Hotel. Hotel is also easily reachable from the JR station by a tram. Hotel staff were extremely welcoming and friendly throughout the stay. The facilities were in good condition with some wear here and there but at least to me that just contributes to the experience. The atmosphere felt really calm inside the hotel and you could rest easy after being in the crowds for the day. If you are looking for a traditional Japanese inn experience within a city then this is probably one of the best options for a stay in Hiroshima. Definitely would stay here again!

Excellent location overlooking the dome and convenient to the peace park, Hondori shopping street, and public transportation. Delicious okonomiyaki restaurant next door. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had a good 2 night stay in December and enjoyed breakfast one morning. Thank you for taking good care of us. Hiroshima is a great city with important history.

The futons are too thin compared to other inns we stayed in, but when we doubled up the futons, it was much more comfortable. The onsen is a little tired/dated, but we enjoyed using it nonetheless.

This is the best location in front of the dome and next to a very good okonomiyaki bar (inside Orizuru tower), walking distance to the museum, the boat ride to miyajima and the dome. The room is spacious and very clean. You take off your shoes to go around hotel. The breakfast is Japanese style, basic, and you can make your own egg with a small flame stove - directly at your table, served in a very nice room with windows overlooking the river/trees. The onsen facility is basic but efficient.

The carpet inside the lift can be updated so it is cleaner and more convenient for going around in socks.

An excellent spot to stay at if you are visiting the peace park as it is across the road from the Atomic Dome site. If you want to experience sleeping the way Japanese traditional sleep then this as the right accommodation for you. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were some nice restaurants within walking distance. There were spa baths available for use. We caught a tram from the train station. The tram stop was not far the accommodation.
