The hotel was near to the train line into Manchester so ideal for getting to a gig at coop. The facilities were great. Enjoyed the swim there the next day. Pool large and lovely and warm. The changing facilities were great for this. The staff were really helpful, letting us change there before our room was ready.

Issue with the door lock battery has gone it in it and had to wait to be let in each time left room. Was sorted in the morning on day of eaving though. The staff were really good. Breakfast quite expensive so didn't have it. Would have been good if had been included in the room prices or just a little extra.

Staff were very friendly and professional. Room was small and basic but clean (although there was a lid left under the bed so not sure if under the bed had been cleaned). When I asked for more milk for the room at reception some was delivered by housekeeping before I'd got back to my room and boiled the kettle. Pool was large and clean. It looked like there was a nice little spa area and large gym but I couldn't go in as was alone with my 10yo. Handy location for Parrs Wood where we went to eat.

The room was small, especially the bathroom, and it was 26.5 degrees in the room even with the window open and fan on - it was a warm July day but not a particularly hot one. There is no aircon. I only live a few miles away and appreciate we don't normally need it in Manchester but it wasn't 26 degrees outside so not sure why the room was so hot.

Easy parking and check in. Nice location next to a river walk. Room was very clean and stylish and bed was comfortable. There was an openable window behind a fly screen. The included leisure facilities were excellent.large swimming pool, 24 hour gym, sauna , steam room and large jacuzzi/hydrotherapy pool with those massaging jets. We visited early morning on Saturday and it was very quiet. You can stay as long as you like even after check out. The breakfast was all you can eat buffet but they can cook eggs like scrambled or omelette freshly for you. Coffee was great. Nice view from restaurant.

I liked everything about our stay and it was extremely good value. Nitpicking and things that might be more important to other people - No lift to 3rd floor. The room was quite small and there was no air conditioning. USB plug in sockets in room would have been useful for charging. Located half hour drive from central Manchester.

Great stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Food was good and plentiful and it was great to have access to the leisure facilities on both days of our one night stay. The location was ideal for our needs as we were attending a course at Food Sorcery next door. All in all a great stay and excellent value for money.

The room was quite small although there is plenty of space to sit in the public areas so this wasn't really a problem. We couldn't work out how to reduce the air temperature but there was a fan in the room and an opening window.

The staff were exceptionally attentive and excellent in every way. The property was very clean and tidy. The bedroom and shower room were well equipped but both had big drawbacks: see below Breakfasts were huge and eggs were cooked to order; eg poached, scrambled etc. The bacon was thick, difficult to cut and much of the buffet was over cooked. However, on balance breakfast was very good.

The bedroom was very, very small. So was the bed but any larger and you literally could not move around the room. The floor of the shower was lethally slippery but the shower was very good. There was no shelf in the shower for shampoo or gel bottles. The lavatory paper was very flimsy; a false economy because one had to use so much a more robust paper roll would have lasted longer. Dinner the on middle night (fish and chips) was barely edible; awful batter.

Nice hotel overall with good facilities, easy parking, great bar and restaurants. Staff was friendly and food was good!

Only bathtub with shower head on the side, no screen or curtain, so was difficult to get a proper shower. Check out stated 12pm on the app, when we checked out staff member insisted we paid £20 for checking out an hour late but luckily I had a screenshot of the booking which stated 12pm at the time of booking. Staff member then honoured it and said check out is always 11am. Something for the hotel to look into just to ensure there is no confusion between guests and staff.

The room was petite, but the perfect size for myself and my daughter, exactly what I expected from the photos and the room description. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were friendly, polite and professional. The pool and the changing rooms were excellent, all of the pool staff and cleaning staff again were friendly, polite and professional. We didn't have breakfast but did have an evening meal, the food and drink's were lovely. Plenty of car park spaces and a lovely location. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

The hotel staff were lovely they were helpful, approachable and couldn’t do enough to help which considering the hotel had recently had a major environmental flood and it had impacted on the facilities, heating and overall experience for guests they really went that extra mile to try to compensate for it. I cannot praise the staff enough. There was no extra charge for car parking and plenty of car parking spaces. Excellent breakfast. I believe in any other time this hotel would be an absolute find, value for money and worth a stay.

We were not made aware the hotel had had such substantial damage post environmental flood. Our room was fine but the heating was affected throughout the communal areas of the hotel and the swimming pool, thermal suite and hot tub were not available which was the main reason we booked this hotel. We were happy to support the hotel as we could see the impact the hotel and its team had suffered from the flood and that they were trying to make the guests experience as pleasant as possible. I mention the flood damage but you could not see it from the reception area or floors above and it didn’t impact our room it was on the lower floor of the hotel.

The staff here are excellent, as are the facilities. We have stayed twice in the past couple of months and are already looking to book our next stay. The staff go above and beyond, from the ones in reception, in the leisure club and in the bar/restaurant area. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. During one of our stays, it was my boyfriends 30th and the staff offered to decorate the room for me (with my own decorations) To keep the surprise going. It's the little things that mean a lot. The leisure facilities are amazing, and are kept clean. We used the steam room, sauna, salt room, hydrotherapy pool and jacuzzi during both of our stays and both times we found it to be peaceful, clean & relaxing. We have stayed in rooms 208 & 210, both King size rooms with plenty of room, great facilities and a really comfy bed. Thank you to all at Waterside, and we shall be seeing you again soon!
