The hotel is unique being in a park, the grounds are beautiful and the building suits the name!

In the room; cleaning is way below the standard one should expect. The shower wall tiles need to be scrubbed down and mould remover applied to all the shower rooms. The bathrooms used to be fresh and well maintained but now they’re barely cleaned and need a schedule of deep cleaning implemented as it affects the brand. There were no special touches, furniture is dated and mediocre, painted walls are marked, there’s dust on the low hanging lights & on the mirror in bathroom. I like this place and have been coming regularly for years to visit family however I am disappointed that management don’t seem to take an interest in the deep cleaning & maintenance of the rooms. This is an easy fix for this essentially great wee hotel.

Arrived early for check-in, but room was ready. Reception was friendly and warm. Had booked room only for one night, and hotel is very convenient for Manchester. The location is in the middle of a lovely park, and so is very quiet. There is a very nice cafe/restaurant just a few yards from the hotel which serves a variety of breakfasts, and the Full English was great. The actual building is quite old with lots of character, but is beautifully decorated, as are the rooms.

The TV had very poor reception. On arrival in the afternoon, only a few channels were being received, and on returning to the room near to midnight, there was no reception at all. For me, this wasn't an issue. And if I'd been staying longer, I'm sure the staff would have sorted it out.

The building itself is absolutely stunning, and the staff service really sets it apart from elsewhere.

I stayed in a suite and paid a lot for the privilege. Unfortunately there was a party downstairs the first evening, which meant I couldn’t sleep at all. The room itself was also tired - the shower was mouldy and there was a lot of paint peeling off. Above the ceiling where the bath was, there was mould, and the blind by the bath was awful - I note someone else mentioned this months ago and rather than fix it, the hotel have chosen to ignore it, which is disappointing.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were superb. Striking the perfect balance between friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant and bar were both great and the room was extremely spacious and comfortable.

Only downside was the lack of a lift (perfectly understandable in a magnificent old building), so anyone with mobility issues would be advised to request a ground floor room, and the lack of a door on the bathroom (albeit there were frosted glass doors to the toilet and shower. Not sure if this is the same in all rooms.

This is the 3rd time I visit this facility. I traveled for Work Purposes, but it was nice to feel even a bit on vacation whilst coming to Manchester for work. The location is wonderful, a nice break from the urban surroundings. The facility is gorgeous and the services as well. The breakfast is excellent and gives a relaxing start of the day. Manchester has now become one of my favourite destinations to work in.

In all honesty, not a lot. Maybe the parking allowance is not very good for the hotel capacity, but there is a (paid) parking nearby.

I was here for work, but that didn't mean i was going to stay in the local Travelodge or premier inn that were coming in at £150pn! I discovered OddFellows and it was worth every penny! We stayed in one of the suites and it was stunning! Right at the top of the building so up a few flights of stairs, but it was a beautiful room and the shower was world class. Nice touch having the radio on as you enter into the room. Note that we got to the hotel at 14:15ish, and werent able to check in so probably quite strict with their 15:00 check in time. There was room to leave the luggage though and it was put in our room by the time we got back which was a lovely touch. We had dinner at the hotel, and whilst the food was really good, the ham terrine starter was bland and tasteless. The roast chicken and sticky toffee pudding more than made up for it though! We went into the bar after and the service was superb. The breakfast was lovely, with a lot of choices offered and happy to allow you to deviate from the set meals. The muffins could have been used as hockey pucks they were so hard, but minor issue that didnt take away from the quality of the rest of the food. A highlight has to be the staff! Everyone who we interacted with were friendly, knowledgeable, and offered their recommendations when we went for dinner.

When the room is THAT expensive, the concept of a paid minibar is a little crass and tasteless. Could have done a few complimentary items instead.

Set in the middle of parkland, but close to main routes, the location is peaceful and the cleanliness, decor and attention to detail sets this hotel apart from other more traditional or chain hotels. Although the hotel is under the Manchester airport flight path, the soundproofing is very good; as soon as you step outside, the noise is noticeable! Great care has been given to returning the building to its former glory with plenty of modern quirks. A beautiful place to stay with friendly staff.

Nothing really. We were aware from other reviews that the en-suite toilet is behind a glass door, otherwise the room has been tastefully & thoughtfully designed with a magnifying mirror, Roberts radio etc.

Oddfellows is a beautiful Victorian villa decorated in a tasteful yet quirky style. The surrounding parkland is lovely. Above all, the staff were wonderful - genuinely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant and, again, the staff could not have been better. The hotel is very well positioned for Manchester Airport and would make a nice alternative to the bland airport hotels.

I'm a very light sleeper and the various permanent indicator lights in the bedroom (tv, aircon and flashing smoke detector) kept me awake. Although it did not affect my husband, so is just me. I'll bring an eyemask next time ... Being in Cheadle, the hotel is directly under the flight path for Manchester airport. The flights stop during the night but start up early morning. It either bothers you or not. I quite enjoyed sitting on the terrace and plane spotting: Ryanair - Ryanair - Easyjet - Ryanair ...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this excellent hotel. It was located in very pleasant surroundings and ideal for the areas we were visiting. The decor and ambience of the hotel was interesting, well thought out and very well done. This included our room, which was very comfortable and clean. We ate breakfast at the hotel and dinner on two evenings. All meals were very nice and well cooked. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful.

Everything was great!

A very attractive building which has been thoughtfully refurbished to a very high standard. Room was excellent, very well equipped. We had dinner, the decor of the dining room is superb. Service and the quality of food were excellent. The breakfast menu was comprehensive and the food was of the same high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a really good break and we will likely return.

All good.
