We booked this hotel as a treat for our honeymoon, and when I first booked it and started to read some of the reviews I was a little bit worried. However, despite other persons dislikes - this hotel went above our expectations. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, they could not do more to be accommodating a truly either at the front desk, or at the breakfast service. Our room was in the new part of the hotel, the decoration was stunning it really felt high class and as much as others complain about how dark the room was, it was absolutely perfect for Swedish summer and helped create a nice sleeping atmosphere after a long day. The breakfast… SO GOOD! The selection was brilliant, even lots of choices for vegans/vegetarians from porridge to boll. During breakfast plates were cleared quickly, staff were more than happy to help you if you had an issue and food was noticeably being changed for freshness. Whilst we were there we also did the rooftop pool and the spa. Our spa and pool visit was very relaxing and the facilities were clean and refreshing. Only thing to note would be that the “treat” kitchen does advertise as having fika and smoothies - but when you get in this is an extra cost. The hotel bars were lovely it was especially nice that they could make mocktails if you asked them and they were the bartenders choice. The hotel also went out of its way to give us a little goody bag with water and treats and a lovely card wishing us a nice time on our honeymoon. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It would be nice if there were however some more vegan protein options like sausage on the buffet, but overall it was one of the better hotels we have stopped in for choice. Originally, we booked the hotel just because it had a rooftop pool and when booking through strawberry it unfortunately does not tell you that you have to pay for this: 295KR each! Whilst we did pay for it and it was very lovely as a treat on our honeymoon I can understand how this may upset some guests as the listing did not tell you. It would also be nice if the hotel advertised its amazing 2 4 1 on the spa deal for guests as this was very appreciated for us as a couple but we did not know and would not have know if we hadn’t checked the TV for information.

Best location for walking, for trams, for restaurants, for train station, for shopping, and a way to go to all the museums and wonderful sites in Gothenburg. The staff was very helpful and kind. Easy booking, arriving and leaving. A room had a city view With great windows, very comfortable beds, lots of room to move around with seating and a desk and the shower was a real treat. Breakfast also was delicious and easy. So many choices of things to eat for breakfast. The bath robes were cozy and warm.

The facilities need an upgrade. One of the light switches in our room for reading in bed was broken, there were no amenities in the bathroom, the windows could be washed as there are lots of birds, the refrigerator was jampacked with stuff, the safe was broken, and therefore did not work, and there were no slippers plus there could have been more hangers. Strangely enough, there were no drawers or dresser in which to put our clothing. There was only one suitcase holder, and we had two large suitcases.

We liked the location, room size, beds, food at breakfast, very nice and friendly staff.

Hotel is outdated, rooms have a bad smell, bathroom is not in the best conditon. Nowhere to put clothes, no shelves in the wardrobe, pool, sauna is expensive, not working for most of our stay, cannot open windows, loud music form reception in the in-court room. Be aware that “small” rooms have 120cm beds, tthis is not stated on booking, these should not be available for double use, we had to pay additional fee for standard!!! We would probably choose another hotel if we knew that.

I have stayed this property many times, and will return again. If traveling by train the location is unbeatable. It is also within walking distance to the city center shopping and restaurant district, and outside the hotel you can take the charming trams to practically anywhere in the city. I also like the beds, and the rooms in the old part of the hotel. Service was impeccable, and special thanks to Mattias who helped make our stay enjoyable.

Breakfast is plentiful but chaotic. The a/c was insufficient during a hot summer spell. Only the noisy outdoor bar was open — no place to have a drink in a more quiet setting.

Beautiful hotel right next to Central Station, gorgeous old post office building. Staff were absolutely lovely (as are most people in Sweden!), lovely decor and furniture/art. Room was small but comfortable and nicely furnished. Breakfast was extensive and good.

The pool / health club was £23 for 2 hours, not even for the duration of your stay. This is a massively overpriced facility and should be included in your stay. The rooftop bar was closed when we enquired as it had been very quiet, so we went to the front terrace bar which was also closed and there were glasses everywhere. Shame but assume there were some staff shortages.

Location was very good as it was central

I asked if I could check out slightly later than 11 am but the staff serving me said "no" and that the hotel was fully booked. Yet, all my friends who asked the same question at different counters at the same time were all given a later check out time at noon. When I reported this to the lady who served me at the reception afterwards, she agreed to extend my check out time by one hour, which was all that I needed. However, when we all returned to our rooms after 11 am on the day of our departure, all our rooms (apart from just one room) were locked out. Those of us who were affected had to go to reception to have our keys reactivated.

Nice room with high ceilings. Comfy beds. Great shower. Location is perfect for seeing the city. Go and have diner at Vra! Then on another night have diner at Norda and take a look at the ceiling. That feature is not mentioned enough! Nice staff in both restaurants.

The coffee for breakfast was absolutly cr*p. For a hotel like this you should expect something else. The tv in the room was slow and rebooted multiple times. Hotel bar has no real menu for snacks. Just nuts, chips or sandwiches. So a four a clock drink is without a fatty warm salty snack.

Really good location close to the main station in Gothenburg. Staff is super nice and welcoming. We got a room on the 10th floor in the new tower, clean and with everything you need. One small detail however, we were kept up the first night by our next door neighbour watchinhg tv so loud it was like being part of it. Around 1am we decided to go down and get some earplugs. The guy at the desk was super nice and helpful and came up to ask our neighbour to turn it down, so super helpful. I am just puzzled that a completely new building is not more spoundproof. And I would maybe not choose to stay closer to Ground floor in the weekend, when there is also a parties. On another note, I do wish that there maybe was an option to include the spa in your stay. But all in all, it is a nice place to stay for a weekend.

Breakfast was amazing! There was a huge selection of food and it was really good quality and tasty. The servers were kind of snooty though and pays less attention. Room was amazing, spacious, comfortable and clean. It made me just want to stay in bed the whole day. Location was very accessible as well. It was right in front of the Central Station and there were tram stops everywhere across the hotel. So it was so easy and convenient to go around the city from the hotel. The staff in the reception were also very kind and accommodating! <3

I just did not like how there was construction in the hotel, so there was just a bit of convenience going around the property. But isn't really much of a big deal.
