As my flight arrived late in the evening I made arrangements with the hotel direct to book me a taxi which worked well. I was given a warm welcome and shown my room which was lovely. It had a king size bed, a walk in shower and unusual to me a large but self contained unit containing all you would need if you wanted to self cater--it had a sink, fridge, microwave and a kettle with coffee / tea/milk plus more. I took the opportunity of having breakfast in the hotel each morning for 13 euros per day and it was well worth it. A large selection of hot and cold food was available and a very decent drinks machine produced good quality coffee.The 'Breakfast Team' were lovely and ensured everything was replenished as necessary and kept the room spotless---although I sat inside there are tables outside near the swimming pool which I am sure are used quite extensively in the summer months---a lovely set up. The Housekeeping Team did a great job and my room was spotless when I returned each day. Last but not least I must compliment the Reception Team who were very personable and always willing to help-special mention to Jesus who was so helpful when contacting the hotel before my visit and on my first morning he made a point of coming down to the Breakfast Room to introduce himself -a real credit to the Hotel.

My only observation is that the hotel is about a 10/15 minute walk one way to Sliema promenade and a10/15 minute walk in the opposite direction to a lovely Bay. It is down hill going but obviously uphill coming back and although I made the effort to walk as much as I could some people may find the uphill walk a bit difficult. But fear not the Bolt taxi service is second to none and it was so quick and efficient in responding to my requests for a taxi and so reasonable !

The property is beautifully presented, both the main building and the annex, where we stayed. On the one morning we had breakfast it had everything we needed, all from the buffet in a very pleasant breakfast room. Our room was made up daily with fresh towels every other day. The room was of a comfortable size and the bed comfortable.

We had some difficulty getting the air con generating heat (we stayed end-Dec to early Jan) but once we were shown it was ok. Some instructions in the room would have helped to get the thing in the correct mode. And the bathroom door was a full pane of glass. It was frosted but still not private enough. I don't know whose idea that was. Passing traffic was noisy, probably because the sound is trapped between the houses on both sides of the street. But it's a quiet, residential street and there wasn't a lot of it so this wasn't a major problem, just occasional.

This is a lovely hotel - a beautifully renovated palazzo on a quiet street. The room was very comfortable and clean and well equipped. There was a huge terrace with sun beds and a table and chairs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

There is really nothing negative to say about the hotel but older and less fit people should be aware that it is on the top of the hill in central Sliema. It’s a short walk downhill to the front by the ferry terminal or down the other side to Balluta Bay. Plenty of restaurants and bars in easy reach. However, the walk back up the hill can be a bit wearing in the hot weather.

We stayed at Palazzo Violetta for 4 nights in April as a family of 4. The apartment was extremely clean. Hardwood floors throughout and I love to be barefoot. Not one spec on the floor. It was well equipped with Shampoo and Body Wash, Toothbrush kits, shaving kits and sewing kits. You could opt for cleaning every day. Towels, small and large were provided per person, and pool towels available to use separately. There ere plenty of clothes hangars in the wardrobe. Robe and slippers also provided. Beds are a memory foam as are the pillows. There are plenty of sockets in the room (uk type). A small kitchenette with microwave oven, kettle, sink. Cups, glasses, plates and cutlery all provided too. Most importantly the staff here are very pleasant and help you whatever you could need. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Nothing not to like. There is a supermarket and bars nearby, but you would need to walk 10minutes for a choice of restaurants

All the staff were super friendly and welcoming! Loved the pool, just wish it had sunshine more throughout the day. Everywhere is easily accessible! The room was great and we loved our balcony! Had the sun almost all day!

The cleaners were great - just one niggle on one occasion we had something left in our room that was not ours

We had a fantastic stay. Great location. Close to bus stops. 20 mins walk to Sliema waterfront and St Julian's Bay. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were spotless. Good WiFi. TV. Felt safe in the area. Nice and quiet. Little kitchen area and balcony was great. Bed was really comfy and large. Only things were the shower/toilet being in the same part as the living room with a frosted glass/door. Other was the small spiral metal staircase to get upstairs to bed. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Bit awkward if needing the toilet downstairs through the night as it was a little creaky but we managed fine. Grateful to leave our luggage at the hotel after check out until our airport transfer later that day. Overall, we really enjoyed it here and would book again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The staff was absolutely excellent- (Diego and Malich) ) very friendly and personable. I knew everyone’s name when I left. The breakfast was really good - great scrambled eggs - so good I asked how they made them- variety of breakfast meats- fresh fruit and pastries - etc - all the good things. The pool area is quite nice and very well kept. Access to the ferry for Valletta is very convenient- in under 10 minutes you can jump on the ferry and for 1 1/2 euros you have a scenic 5 min trip to Valletta. From there you can grab a shuttle up to the city center if you have any mobility issues. I would also add since this hotel is not right on the main harbor road it is much quieter. No road noice.

My initial room was not in the main hotel- and though quiet it was not as nice. It had a strong smell of mold and mildew and it did make me feel ill so I asked to be moved and they were very helpful in making that happen. I did have to pay extra for the room in the main hotel so I wasn’t happy with that. Also, the location to the restaurants and shops is convenient- 6-7 minute walk - slightly hilly- but it is also covered in bird droppings.

The hotel staff were great, Jorgen was very friendly and welcoming. place in a calm location in Sliema with good takeaway and local corner shop nearby. Location was not the best for me personally, 12 mins walking was taking you to the Sliema busy area but I felt as solo traveller there was not so much to do in Sliema. What I did not like about the stay that they charged me 9 euros during checkout for eating 3 small crisps they put on my table and no one told me that there is cost for those, I thought they are complimentary with the tea and coffee otherwise I would not have eaten them lol

Location was on a quiet residential street. Short walk to Leyland 2723 to catch the bus into Valetta. Not too far from the Airport - 14 mins by Bolt. Only 10 mins walk down to Balluta Bay for dinner - can recommend La Crema. Reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful, especially Diego and Jurgen. We were checking out at 0400 hrs and so we were provided with a small take-away breakfast, which we thought was extremely kind and thoughtful.

Pool could have been heated a little - it was really cold! Menu could mention ingredients of the Traditional Maltese Sandwich - as I wouldn’t have ordered it, if I had known what was in it (I don’t like tuna).

The hotel is very conveniently positioned and it offers access to lots of good restaurants and a vibrant scene, without being in a loud area. The staff was really great and accomodated all our needs. They have also provided some travel guides related to the island. We have spent there 3 nights and ut was perfect for us, especially that we could walk to a lot of places and even the ferry to Valetta was close. Personally, we have rented a car and the area offers quite a lot of general parking places. In case you won't find any parking in the area, the hotel also provides parking, but with a cost.
