Location was in the heart of downtown SLO with parking options available onsite or a half-block away. There was a rustic, historical charm to the hotel. The Queen suite (Room 12) facing the street had a small juliette balcony and a fairly large shower facililty. The common area had a fireplace and an outdoor patio overlooking the street. Attached restaurant was great - would recommend.

It was key-access only and the keychain was heavy. Not something you can fit into a pocket easily.

This hotel captures the vibe of SLO. Interior design is on point. Included breakfast (croissants, yoghurt, fruit, tea, coffee, orange juice) was high quality. Our room was beautifully decorated. Bed was very comfortable. Parking is free and easily accessible. Front desk responsive.

The room is very small with almost no room for luggage. There are so many "things to purchase" on the desk that there is almost no room to use on the desk. Falling asleep at night was tricky because there were constant intermittent low vibrations in the room from what I assume is other guests turning their water on/off or turning their AC on/off in their rooms.

The restaurant was not open when we arrived but they took care of us anyway. They staff were friendly and the service was excellent. What we loved about the hotel and bistro was the style. Everything, every detail, had been taken care of, the hotel was quiet and not busy so we could find many corners to hang out and have a drink once the bistro closed. We loved the accessibility of the entire environment after hours and the room was hands down amazing. We can't wait to return!

The hotel itself has retro European vibes. Decorations are a nice vintage aesthetic. Welcome drinks provided (need an alternative to alcohol though please). Rooms were nice and clean enough. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast provided (a rarity in the USA, so a very welcome touch!) Restaurant is delightful and food is excellent. Bar seemed nice too (I can't drink right now so didn't try it). Parking space provided. The soaps provided smell amazing - likely to order!

The room was quite small, with not a lot of space for our luggage at all. Was 'upgraded' room but not really sure what that meant - they gave us a shared patio space? But the weather was awful so we never used it and they put us right on top of the cocktail bar which played music until 11pm+. Should definitely inform guests that this will happen beforehand. Got a text that the front desk would close at 11 but music was still going on at 11:15 so had no idea what to do. No earplugs provided upon arrival, but after complaining about the music the next day, they gave them to us. It isn't terrible, but I'm pregnant, so free cocktails after to make up for it doesn't help. Guests shouldn't have to go to the bar and ask them when they will close.

Grand hotel is unique classic hotel in the middle of down town SLO. The room has vintage furniture and atmosphere. The lounge is spacious and comfortable. They provide cold water and hot coffee.

The array to the hotel parking is very narrow and difficult to find. They charge $20 for overnight parking for hotel guest. The room does not have refrigerator and provide only one small wastebasket.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the experience was very personal. The property is very speakeasy vibe kinda spooky and dark but also really nice bright outside areas and so cool! Very vintage! Close to downtown and walking distance to shopping, eating and farmers market. Communication was very good ahead of our stay to plan ahead. The restaurant on site is so good! The tritip and ice cream were the best I’ve had!

Cozy and comfortable, very cute, walking distance to everything (shopping and restaurants).

Big noise issues last 3 times we’ve stayed here. Amazing but at 3am SLO has street sweeping that you can’t sleep through. Not to mention the crazy neighbor landscaping co had a blower also waking us up between 6:15am to 6:40am. Very noisy area, not hotels fault, but it’s an issue.

The location of the hotel is great. The hotel also had lovely decor and the rooms were very comfortable.

There was no breakfast on site. Getting to the car park is through a very tight passage way which is not obvious when first arriving at the hotel.

Location was great! Staff super helpful and courteous beautiful decor and charming.

Literally the cheapest toilet paper possible. Motel cheap motel toilet paper yet we were paying $600 per night! Really noticeably bad!! Otherwise amenities were fine and it was a nice spot.

The downtown location was perfect for walking around.

Our room was over the speakeasy bar, could feel the thumping til it closed, the bar didnt have draft beer or malibu rum/pineapple juice.
