A pleasant surprise. Good value for money and very, very clean (including door mat - see photos). Good size room. Newly renovated bathroom. New split system A/C. Great central location. Staff were lovely, live on site. Catered for late check-in.

Short but steep driveway, however a positive was it had a separate back exit to Auckland St, meaning didn't have to turnaround or go out uphill to get out. Swimming pool location tucked in virtually abutting end room in which we were staying - but if you have kids it's actually a bonus. Something that made it hard to locate was my Google Earth directions were trying to take me to Oaka Lane, a side lane with no view of the motel sign from the direction we came in from, instead of the actual Roseberry St entrance & being after dark didn't help (motel is on the corner of these 2 streets).

Cannot recommend highly enough. Without me asking, they went out of their way to accommodate me when I was struggling juggling a toddler up three flights of stairs, when it was my own fault for not calling when booking and asking about ground floor availability. Incredible host/manager. Rooms are best value anywhere, with old school nostalgia in style, but updated with new amenities, shower, etc. Comfy beds, and amazing pillows (I even peeked to see the brand so I can buy one for home).

I’d stayed in a few Rockhampton hotels on my swing week and it was either average or downright depressing. So I decided to travel a little further from work to Gladstone. Harbour Lodge was clean,large room with all amenities (cooking facilities etc) with a nice view from on top of the hill overlooking the water. It made my week off really relaxing. It is also close to cafes, Woolies and the city centre.

2nd night here. Was there Easter Weekend. Manager was ever so Friendly. Speaks to you as if you were Friends not like a Manager. 1st Night, was on the Top Floor. 1 Bedroom. Beautiful View of the Harbour. 2nd Night, was on Bottom Floor. 2 Bedroom. Rooms are very clean. Micro, Roomy. Always Water in Fridge + a few Chocy Bars, Comfortable Beds.TV, large walk-in Shower. Great Location. 1st Night there, I was there to check out the Harbour Festival. Only had to walk down the Road & over the Bridge. 2nd Night, I was in Gladstone to see some Movies. There were closer some forms of Accommodation but if I like something, I will keep on going back there not worrying about Distance. Wasn't that far away anyway. Enjoyed the Stays. Would recommend the Harbour Lodge Motel.

It had good security . It was a short, but steep, walk, to the local pub who served meals and takeaways. It was reasonably easy to get to most places from here. it's not in a shopping part of town but plenty of short trips in the car to most things soon fixes this.

The outside lights stayed on all night and the main window only had venetian slats which allowed slithers of light thru the openings. The whole room at night was quite bright which resulted in my not sleeping very well. The window definitely needs a heavy curtain as the outside lights are very bright. Good lighting for security but not soo many needed to accomplish this. The room was good otherwise and clean with the usual amenities. A few more plates would have been handy. definitely a good price for its location.

I found the staff very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, and my stay was enjoyable and undisturbed.

I would have liked more tv channels, but that didn't really detract from my stay, other than that I have no qualms and would stay there again anytime.

A lovely clean & comfortable roomy room #2 close walking distance to pubs etc (albeit up n down steep hills but that would be wherever you stayed!) Staff friendly n happy to share info about local attractions. Would happily stay here again.

Forgot to mention at check out but the outside lighting shining through the vertical blinds was annoying at bedtime

The property’s “ground floor” is up one & a half flights of stairs. When asked if I could possibly change to a “basement” level unit, gentleman was very friendly & said no, because they are family rooms. I was a solo traveller but the room had the capacity to sleep 3! The constant puffing of the insect repellent was annoying overnight

Great location in the middle of town. Easy access and parking. Very clean and comfortable. Frankly, well above expectations for the nightly rate. Great onsite manager who moves very quickly to shut down any late night noise which was much appreciated.

Security lights stay on overnight, and the venetian blinds don't keep much light out. If you are light-sensitive, bring an eye mask. Didn't seem to phase the kids though...

This is the second time we have stayed here. Very comfortable rooms. Cleanliness is first class. The proximity of the motel to town centre is great. An easy walk to cafes, pubs and restaurants. Trevor, the owner/manager is welcoming and friendly to chat with. Highly recommend Harbour Lodge Motel.
