The whole hotel needs a refreshment, in pictures looks much better. Old furniture and appliances. Small room, bathroom needs a full renovation. Thin walls, can hear the neighbours

A great hotel with very good service, ambience and charm, very friendly staff, great location. I was thrilled with the room (Afrodita Suite 803), I felt like a king 🥹 great room, with charm, big, clean, good hygiene concept, bathroom with jacuzzi, huge balcony with a great view overlooking Thessaloniki and the sea.. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. All in all, totally OK. Very good value for money.

Although I was promised a lunch package, I did not receive it from the receptionist at Check Out. Probably because he was sleepy, it was 04:00 when I left

It is very old and beautiful looking hotel. We enjoyed our stay there, our room had everything we needed. They don’t have a on-site parking but they direct you to a parking lot costing 14 euro per day. It’s only a short walking distance to ladadika and port. Ataturk’s house and white tower is also in walking distance (30 minutes) . Shopping street is also very close.

Having a free on-site parking would be very great but I don’t think that many hotels in the city center offer it, so we are happy with what we found.

This is my second stay here 5 years apart staying in the same room. I like that event if 5 years have gone by and the room has seen multiple occupants it the same as i remember meaning that the hotel is extremly well kept. It's not easy with all the murals. The personal is professional and nice, the cleaning lady came everyday with fresh towel and cleaning.All in all a good experiment definitely my destination if i will visit Thessaloniki again

A bit noisy when planes flew overhead (apart from that it was quite) and even do we were on the sixt floor the dam mosquitoes still entered the room.

The hotel was elegant and felt classy, old world charm with just the right modern amenities given the location and age of the structure. The location was within walking distance of most of the key sites we wanted to visit - 5min walk to the famous Ladadika district where there’s a wide selection of taverns/restaurants, literally right off the city’s quay

The hotel itself was excellent, but the area/location seemed a bit run down (despite there being many hotels on this one stretch of the block), with a lot of tagging (throughout much of the city) and garbage in the area with many business units closed or moved away. It didn’t feel unsafe but it did shatter some preconceived romantic and charming notions we had of the city itself.

That was our second stay there. We loved the hotel before but this time it exceeded our expectations. We had a nice surprise - our room was upgraded to a wonderful suite at the 8 floor with sea view. We couldn’t be happier and enjoyed our stay there. We loved all the beautiful details in the room, big and comfortable bed, sparkling cleanliness, sea and city view, helpful staff and excellent breakfast with so many choices. Wonderful stay, thank you Imperial palace! We’ll come again for sure. Highly recommend this hotel!

The location was perfect for us, we wanted to explore the city center. We liked the entrance area, it felt like a castle. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with all the important essentials.

Our room had a very strangely designed shower, where a part of the wall was inside the shower area, so you could hardly stand properly. This was not the case in the room of our kids.

we payed extra to stay in the Aphrodite suite. and it was well worth it had a fantastic views from balcony to the port and over the city and amazing murals on the wall. The air condition was very efficient. The staff were very helpful in the centre of the city. fab

Could’ve done with a cotton cover instead of the thick blanket in the wardrobe at night. Breakfast could be improved, but the staff were excellent.
