The staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel had a nice relaxed atmosphere Nice pools, one cool and fresh (cold) and one heated Large hotel room balcony Enjoyed the DJ playing nice summer tunes at the main pool

The bathroom in the room was its downfall. A very strange sliding dividers for the bathroom area offering poor privacy and the toilet and shower were next to each other in a glass partition giving no privacy with a terrible sliding glass door going between the two small areas. A large bath in the area using up a lot of the space. Not a pool bar as such. The beach was packed and no toilets at the beach so a 10 minute walk back to the pool toilets

Hotel is quite and rooms are comfortable- Good breakfast till 11am with no rush- 3 swimming pools- well equipped gym- pathway through cliffs to get the beach- valley service for car pick up from the garage very quick. Good location at stone's throw distance from a pizzeria a supermarket and 3 or 4 other restaurants. But you need a car or a rid to get elsewhere . The view from the balcony on treetops and the sea .

The on charge beach sunbeds 70€/day (front line) and 50€ second & third line. Multiple fine dining restaurants at hotel but very pricey. My bad rate for cleaning is due to housekeeping, overall it is clean but some details missing like dried drops left on the mini bar , glasses, cups or spoons not checked to be clean before storing..

This was a wonderful location set in beautiful leafy surroundings with direct, card-controlled access to one of the finest beaches in the Algarve. Just 15 minutes by Uber into the city of Albufeira, we enjoyed the serene neighbourhood well attended by little shops, cafes and pizza, Chinese and Indian restaurants. The pleasing architecture of the hotel itself, designed to maximise the flow of air and accentuate the elements of water and nature, and the welcoming staff at the entrance, set the pace for a peaceful haven indeed and a reviving stay. The food at Epic Sana, in the three restaurants that were open at the time of our visit , ranged between positively good (Abyad buffet) and exceptional (Al Quimia). The hospitality was excellent. We may have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world, but I think Epic Sana staff were exceptional. Attentive, intuitive, courteous, charming and consistently helpful. The facilities, the Spa, the pool we utilised were clean and well-maintained. The beautiful one bed Suite had two bathrooms, much to the delight of the family. A well thought out and equipped kitchen, which we did use. The spacious Suite had a vast balcony with a sweeping view of the grounds inviting one to lounge. Maintenance attended promptly when we reported a non-functioning socket. And we enjoyed their indulging us with chocolate each night when they came to turn down our bed covers. Yes, every night :) We wished we had more time to spend. Our stay was 'heavenly' and restful. Just what one needed after a long year trying to make a living.

Well, we were on holiday. I cannot begrudge the hotel. The food was expensive even though the experience was memorable in all the best ways. We had paid for breakfast inclusive.

Beautiful resort.

No music at the pool and you feel there is no life. Such a place needs sport classes next to pool, music, dancing, but therr is nothing. As if it is a place for old people to retire or have healing or rehab!!! Even at the restaurant at night, no music and very quirt and dull. To use sauna or steam you have to pay... To get water you have to pay.... The worst was that when we went down to the beach, they asked for 70 Euro to get a chaise longue!!! Not acceptable! We paid for a 5 star resort and expect to have this as a part of our booking. The room rate is already very expensive!

Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent breakfasts, room was very comfortable. Excellent room rate for January although it looks much, much more expensive in the summer.

Lock didn't work on first room (239), we were moved next door to room 241 which had a bad smell and disinfectant had to be applied. This occurred again three days later and there were also bad smells in the hallway. The front desk sent up a bottle of sparkling wine as an apology which we appreciated. The evening buffet seemed rather overpriced at 48 Euros.

We spent fantastic three weeks at this wonderful and sophisticated place. We had a family suite (suite home) which was cleaned twice a day, thoroughly and discreetly for us. The room was cozy and well equipped with household appliances. From the very arrival we were surrounded with attention and care. All the personnel were responsive, friendly and helpful. We have the warmest and most touching memories of the restaurant Lima staff. Breakfast and brunch were served at Lima and deserved the highest marks due to its variety and quality. Special thanks to chef who makes deserts. We were impatiently waiting for lunch to try the taste of next masterpiece. Of course the main goal of our stay was the fantastic Falésia beach and we experienced the great pleasure at this pearl of Algarve. The way there lies through the well-kept and stylish territory of the hotel.

There are no things that we might not like

Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially our greeter at the entrance. He was very helpful with all the necessary information we needed. Food at breakfast was very good. Our tasting menu experience, although expensive, was a really lovely two hours. The food in the other speciality restaurant was very good but the portions were tiny. The pool areas were really well kept. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for that bit of extra luxury we all crave.

Being charged for a bed on the beach. I expected those to be provided. Although I would happily have spend 10 Euros extra, but not at the price charged.

We come back to this hotel each year as it has really good location on the cliff top overlooking the long beach. The hotel staff are amazing, friendly, helpful and always keen to make sure you have a fantastic stay. Rooms are either in the main buildings or in the garden. We have stayed in both and never had a problem. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Breakfast and dinner selections in the main restaurant are wide and varied. Specialist restaurants are good as well. Pools are located in the main grounds and the gardens. Baby pool, separate kids/family pool and also an adults only pool. Plenty of loungers available and attentive pool staff.

Specialist restaurants are good but considering the quality and service at the main buffet restaurant we are not sure it is worth going to them.

Oh my goodness, this resort went way beyond our wildest expectations! Our room was amazing, so very comfortable, the bed was awesome and the room very well appointed! We had an amazing view of the ocean and the pools and gardens! The pools were absolutely wonderful, one heated, one cooler adult only pool, plus a kid’s paddling pool and an indoor spa pool as well. The breakfast area was beyond amazing!!! The service was absolutely top notch, the fresh omelette bar soooo good, every type of fresh fruit imaginable, lattes, cappuccinos, fresh orange juice and Portuguese pastries! I cannot even mention all that was there to choose from, it was really incredible! We have decided that we must return here again and recommend this resort to everyone!

We honestly cannot think of anything that could be improved upon!

Beautiful pools, great customer service, great beach access with very pretty views.

Two things. 1) The Italian restaurant on site is way overpriced for what it is, especially when there are such good options just outside the hotel grounds - we were disappointed in this 2) I am 6 months pregnant and we thought sitting by the kids pool would mean it would be smoke free (especially as this was such a family friendly resort). We were disappointed that people were still allowed to smoke right by the pool, I understand it happening at the adult pool but would have thought the kids pool/family areas could have been enforced to be smoke free
