This is one of those old school very solid structures, no thin walls or cheap doors. Everything seems to have been recently restored and very clean. The full service bar was staffed by very competent and friendly employees. The outdoor seating area was very nice to relax and have morning coffee. The price was about half of what I would have expected. The only negative thing I could say was the room air conditioner was pretty loud but that can be pretty typical of any hotel I guess. I will definitely stay here again.

I loved the atmosphere and the staff was excellent!! I was there for almost a month and loved every minute!! Again, the staff was worth thier weight in gold. They are awesome!!!

The manager. She was rude as could be. She made many mistakes and I had to pay for them. Not only that, while dealing with a death in family and preparing arrangements with children, while eating breakfast with family to talk things over, she interrupted me 6 times because of an overbooking, the lack of reading and responding to emails, and the fact that she doesn't understand that running a credit card 3-4 times doesn't give you an instant refund. No. It takes 3-10 days to be refunded back onto card. So in turn she maxed out a credit card due to her mistakes. I had a room reserved. I paid alot of money over 3.5 weeks yet I was asked to move rooms....after a hip surgery no less. She is the most arrogant, judgemental, and uncaring person I've ever met.

This hotel was the cutest place I’ve stayed in! Me and my best friend stayed for 1 night and absolutely loved the place! Our room was amazing and beautifully decorated as was the whole place! Highly recommend and the staff was great. The smell of the hotel was amazing! Very different from your regular hotel

Everything was perfect. There was a room across the hall who’s dogs were barking a lot but other than that it was great

Fiddletree restaurant was excellent. Nice ambiance with outdoor dining and fireplace seating. Live music was an added bonus. Room was comfortable and felt very private. We barely heard any other guests/staff during our 3 night stay.

King room was large, yet the sitting area could have used some furnishings such as a comfy couch, chair or recliner to maximize the use of space. There is a cute retro fridge, bistro table and 2 leather chairs and even an additional TV and lamp in the sitting area but nowhere to relax and read. Hopefully they can elevate the space. Such a lovely stay and staff!

This is a lovely hotel. We loved the central location. The restaurant and bar on location were quite nice. The room was very clean and the staff very helpful. Though the heat kept us inside, there was a great outdoor area. The manager was gracious and welcoming!

*luggage rack was insufficient to bring in hanging clothes or if you had very much luggage or items to bring in. *would have liked a small dresser or chest with drawer space and some place to put personal items (other than a shelf in the closet) *just a bit unusual to check in at a small counter within the bar and restaurant space and where you had to bring all your luggage/personal items through, to get to the rooms/elevator

This was wonderful hotel with a wonderful restaurant. The staff was very helpful and very nice. We had a great stay and enjoyed the cool interior design. The check-in was super easy, fast and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the rooms are very large and nicely decorated. Live music at dinner and the breakfast was also good.

The location is a little off the happening, but really not a big problem when you have car.

The Elwood is such a fabulous, quaint hotel in a great location. The staff were all so courteous and had that southern charm. Even staff that did not tend to you greeted you when they saw you even in a quick passing. I’ll definitely stay at the Elwood for all future visits to Lexington.

The cleaning staff did miss a dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door when we checked into our room. Not a big concern with all the other pleasantries of the facility.

The room was well decorated, very clean and spacious. I appreciate the plant, the fact that it was living was awesome! The restaurant below was convenient.

We had an issue with the air conditioner being extremely loud at night for quite a while.i did let the front desk know so hopefully it was addressed prior to their next appointment.

Staff was all so nice and helpful and attentive. The entire property is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and so well-appointed. Eating on the front patio every morning was so lovely and we ended each day by the fire pit with a drink from the bar. We are already trying to figure out when we can get back to Lexington to stay here even longer. We loved everything about this 4 star boutique hotel.

Not a thing is dislikable here!

Every member of staff we met was welcoming and helpful. The manager, Martha,was exceptional. The room was lovely. Comfortable bed, lots of natural light, good facilities. We ate breakfast a couple of times at the hotel and the food and service were great. The hotel itself is well decorated in a really quirky style, well located to get out to the horsey area of Lexington, down town or anywhere really although you need a car or Uber which we used a lot. Overall we loved our stay here. Thank you.
