Brilliant views and a clean and comfortable place to stay. Marvellous view of the lake and vineyards from out window. Felt very private as well. Helen was very helpful in answering questions and came back to us in a very short turnaround time when we asked. Very quiet and relaxing and would definitely consider returning for a longer stay.
It is always a little disconcerting when there are signs up to say that the place needs to be left clean and tidy, primarily because that can be very subjective. Maybe some clarity would assist? Also the TV operating instructions could be a little clearer for dummies like me who grew up on a manual dial. Got there in the end, but took about half an hour. Also, wasn’t able to get the streaming services to work.

We always include a stay at Armalong any time we find ourselves near Launceston - although a short distance from the town centre, the fantastic views from the rooms, the homely conveniences and importantly the great value for money make staying there a must-do. We would highly recommend including this on your short list of accommodation considerations when visiting Launceston or surrounds.
Our room on this occassion showed some signs of wear, however, speaking to staff when leaving we were advised that the room is about to undergo a makeover, so this will addressed very soon.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Armalong Winery Chalets in Tasmania’s stunning Tamar Valley! The chalets are a perfect blend of modern comfort and serene beauty, nestled among vineyards with breathtaking views of the Tamar River. Our apartment was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed—full kitchen, cozy bedding, and a luxurious bathroom. Waking up to the sunrise over the valley from the private balcony was pure magic. The location is ideal, just a short drive from Launceston, with easy access to local wineries and attractions like Brady’s Lookout. The on-site cellar door at Tamar Ridge was a highlight, offering delightful wine tastings and a chance to savor the region’s best. The staff were warm and responsive, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to departure. Armalong Winery Chalets deliver an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

The apartment was spacious and comfortable with extras like a very large comfortable bed, washing machine, large bath with a view, full kitchen, coffee maker and BBQ on the balcony that made it excellent value for money compared to other accommodation in the area. Communication from the owner after booking was immediate and I felt we could contact her if we needed anything. Despite a main road nearby we had the windows closed for sleeping and I found it to be a very quiet location. Convenient to have a winery cellar door a 2 min walk away too!
We liked everything. The apartment gets a lot of light in the morning through the large windows, which was not a problem for us (and the windows are amazing to enjoy the lovely view) but I would encourage guests who would like to sleep in late to pack their own eye mask/sleep mask.

- Beautiful and amazing view, you can see many stars at night(Even when the weather is bad, the scenery is still beautiful, resembling a fairyland.) - very clean and comfortable - fully-equipped with all the necessary amenities, e.g. cooking oil, seasonings, laundry products… I highly recommend this chalet. It's best to stay for at least two nights and to spend more time in the cabin to fully enjoy such a beautiful place. The lovely scenery adds to the relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, and it offers great value for money. If I travel here again in the future, I will definitely stay here again.
- The lighting in the chalet is rather dim, especially in the kitchen, which makes cooking less convenient. It would be better if it were a bit brighter.

The chalet was well designed and furnished and the large picture windows showcased the spectacular views of the Tamar River, valley and beautiful autumn colours of the vines! Even whilst soaking in the bathtub! Everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable 2 night stay. The coffee machine was a bonus. Just a short stroll to the Tamar Ridge winery was a great place to spend an afternoon, not to be missed. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to visit the distillery next door, definitely next time. We certainly recommend the Armalong chalet and look forward to returning. A very special stay.

It was the view from this property that attracted me to book it, and it did not disappoint. Looking out over the Tamar Valley was beautiful, and at night the moon over the river was spectacular. The location is very good for exploring Launceston etc, and parking is really easy being right outside the door. The accommodation is really spacious and nice with all you could need and more, the bed very comfy, and the bathroom is really modern and clean, with a lovely large shower, and a huge window to take in that view again. The outside deck is private with good modern furniture, and a BBQ. Loved seeing the wildlife at night coming out into the area below.
The only negative for me was the traffic noise. Inside its ok, but on the deck outside unavoidable, it's a shame.

This is one of the nicest places that we've stayed in Tasmania. It has a great location with a stunning view and all the amenities we needed. It is well maintained, very clean, and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and responsive. Near the property, we saw pademelons and many birds, including kookaburas. It's almost perfect.
Any honest review must mention a couple of minor things. The chalet is close to the A7 highway, so there may be some unwanted noise during daylight hours. Even with all the windows closed, you can hear the low rumblings of occasional trucks, which can damper the "staying on a winery" vibe. Also, there are no solid window darkening shades. So for those who want complete darkness for sleeping, they will need a mask. For these reasons, I could not give it a 10.

Beautiful views of treetop vineyards and Tamar River. Small private landing. Large bathroom and separate parking
Heat lamps in bathroom not working and not good for anyone scared of heights as windows are right down to floor level. No landlines. T.V. Difficult to operate as needs update

The outlook from the chalet was great the Tamar Valley is beautiful place The chalet set up (the view from every room) and facilities provided were above what I expected The bed was great, air conditioning was welcome with the warm weather. And the wallabies and possums were entertaining. Great place to day trip from. Loved the gin and the Tassy cheese, I took a bottle home.
I would like to see EV charging provided.
