Smooth check in and out, easy access via Alilaguna ferry from airport, simple and clean with all I needed, great coffee maker and fridge, love the area. Would definitely stay here again for a self-catering stay. All an independent traveler needs.

Good to know: While the ferry from the airport (first drop off from the Alilaguna orange line is Madonna dell'Orto 10 min. walk from Antica Raffineria) is super convenient, when heading back to the airport the ferry can get full by the time it reaches Madonna dell'Orto since it is the last pick up from Venice; allow for some extra time to get to the airport. Not a hotel, but a suite of rooms so no common areas and staff on premises only during select hours (communication via WhatsApp was super prompt so not a problem at all).

I am very glad that I chose this hotel and Cannaregio. The apartments are located through the courtyard. We had a wonderful room on the 2nd floor with a very nice view over the roofs of the houses, peace and quiet. Everything was thought of in the room, there was tea and coffee, even milk for coffee and a refrigerator. The room was clean and tidy every day, even our dishes were washed. There was also a kitchen next to our room, where there were both dishes and a microwave. A very wonderful hostess with her son, she recommended a lot to us in Venice, for example, where to hire a gondola. 10 out of 10! I recommend it to everyone. And Cannaregio is simply a wonderful place with its restaurants on the canals. Real Italian charm.

We had a very pleasant stay and could not ask for more. The people have been sweet and very helpful - moreover, they were sharing many nice advice with to smoothly discover Venice. The room as the complete place is very beautiful. The area is nicely located - 2 different water bus stops nearby as well as the train station. There are a few nice restaurants and bars nearby and the area is lovely plus quiet and peaceful. Plus you can enjoy nice sunsets from the bridge in front of the entrance :) The room has a small fridge and drinking water as well as coffee and tea was available. There is also a small kitchen - we did not make use of it - food is too good in Venice.

The location is excellent, in a quiet courtyard within an area of plentiful, good quality restaurants. The walk is nice, in all directions and it's an easy walk to the Bus/Rail terminal. Like all of Venice, the surrounding area is clean and there's a choice of shops, including a fantastic Spar very close by. The whole building is air-conditioned, clean and tidy. It's typical of Venice and although the decor is not modern, I found this simply adds to the charm. The room has air-condition, a fan, coffee machine, fridge, safe, comfy bed and a decent bathroom with a hairdryer. The host is amazing, I couldn't think how anyone could be better. There was water in the room, coffee for the machine and some little cakes. Clear, plentiful contact and information from the host and always quick to reply to any questions. Personally, if I return to Venice this would be top of my list.

The apartment is in a quiet area, yet very well located – perfect for our family of four. We had two comfortable double beds (not sofa beds, as is often the case), a fridge, coffee, water, and even some pastries kindly gifted by the host. The room was cleaned daily, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during the hot days. There’s a grocery store just around the corner, which made everything very convenient. I truly recommend this place!

It would be great to have a few kitchen utensils, like a knife or fork, to slice some cheese 😀. I truly recommend this place!

Very friendly and welcoming host. The hotel is run by a lovely family and we were even expected at the gate by their son for the check-in, it was a very nice gesture. Overall a pleasant stay in a very nice neighbourhood, central to the S. Lucia train station (ca. 12 min by foot) and a great starting point for visiting all attractions Venice and the Veneto region has to offer. Clean, spacious room with very nice and well-equipped bathroom. Even more, the room has a kettle, coffee machine and mini fridge and tea and coffee are provided. Our room was on the first floor next to the well-stocked community kitchen, it was very quiet. We also appreciated that we could store our luggage after the check-out in the morning. We will definitely be back when in Venice. ¡Muchas gracias!

the staff were amazing the room was so clean we had bought a bottle of wine and the next day the staff had left wine glasses in our room our room was cleaned brilliantly every day the building is in such a private square with two safety gates and feels so safe while being on a nice welcoming lively street in the evening till about 11 weekdays anyway the little bars and restaurants well outstanding I would happily book this accommodation again and would recommend it to anyone

Well located to Vaporetto platforms and easy to access major attractions. Supermarket, restaurant, bars & Café are around 10 minutes of walking Nice and clean bedroom could accommodate 4 of us in a 2 double-bed bedroom with tea, coffee & water. TV, wifi & WC/Shower attached to the bedroom. A must-come bed & breakfast place with a Very professional & helpful staff. Mrs. Soledad is very nice and welcomed me with my little family very well. Mr. Stefano even helped us for informing us about change in train timings. The staff even arranged the keep our luggages even after our checkout so we could enjoy Venetia till our last moment to take our train.

The location is perfect, walking distance to the main attractions, about 30 minutes to San Marco square, and one of the vaporetto stops - the S.Marcuola Casino or Fondamente Nove - is a 15-minute walk away. There are several cafes and restaurants nearby, the Despar grocery is also in 5 minutes. The property is clean and cozy, coffee, snacks and water are offered daily and there is a dining room on the 2nd floor. There was no AC in our room, but 2 fans helped a bit.

Antica Raffineria is run by a wonderful family, kind and helpful. The rooms and corridors are freshly painted. Nice art on the corridor walls. The room was clean and daily maintained, well-stocked with water and snacks, which was a wonderful surprise. We felt very safe in the area, even when coming back late after midnight. Location-wise, the hotel is in the heart of the famed Cannaregio and close both to the Santa Lucia train station and the vaporetto/Allylagoona station (this partucular vaporetto spot does not sell tickets). We walked everywhere, including with luggage from the train station. 15-20 min on foot to Rialto bridge, 30 min to San Marco square. Within close proximity, there are many retail stores. Right outside the courtyard, you come on to a canal with a sidewalk with many small, affordable, well-visited restaurants. Among them is Sullaluna, a bookstore/cafe, which is one of the hidden gems in Venice. Try their organic food, capuccino and the fantastic Proseco made in the owner's winery. There is also a well-stocked supermarket just meters from the hotel and a great little bakery with a few gluten-free pasty items, too. If you are in Venice for the Biennale, look for the Grenada pavilion nearby and Zeng Fanzhi's exhibition at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia at the end of the canal.

The facility lacks a washer/drier, but there is a highly-rated lavanderia within 18 minutes walk.
