Absolutely lovely people run this hotel! This is my second stay and I will come back again when I can - it feels more like a home than a hotel, very dog-friendly, comfortable and clean, the garden is a jewel, and convenient location to walk from the train station while still not being in the immediate area of the station. Easy to find due to proximity to the Casino. Check in out of hours was easy - clear directions given by text. Immediately makes you feel like you've arrived and are ready for the best experience in Venice. They also kindly kept my luggage safe for me the day of my departure so that my dog and I could explore. Grazie mille from me and Carbón, we hope to see you again!

The people there were always friendly, the food was really good and even after we already checked out we could store our luggage there and when we returned we could stay for a bit until we went to the trainstation. We would always book this again :)

Staff was very helpful checking us in. Very clean apartment, comfy and value for money. The bathroom was beyond expectations. Location was also alright, you definitely need a bit of walking to reach the most tourist attractions, but very enjoyable area to walkaround. We personally prefer this location instead of a super touristy one.

Poor soundproof, which I suppose is a common problem in Venice in general. Especially the resident from above floor was significantly loud even in late hours

location was fantastic. The price was still high for me, but I'm a cheapskate, and I understand that the price is most likely comparable to similar facilities and locations. The restaurant recommendations by the host were helpful and excellent.

The one thing I had issue with was responsiveness to a specific query about check-out and whether we could keep our luggage on-site until our train departure. The texts I sent to the personal number of the host were not answered, nor was the note I left at the front desk. I did run into the host before our last day, so we did get the query answered, but it did leave me wondering how reliably staff and host could be contacted when not on-site.

We had two of the apartments, each with 1 bedroom, kitchenette, and a "living" room with a small dining table , chairs, a couch. Spacious and sweet, though not at the main location, just around the corner. Sadly no breakfast was served, but there are nice places very close by. Great location close to a vaporetto stop in Cannaregio. This was our 4 th time staying here, each time a different room.

The apartments could use more lighting...a little dark. Staff is a little scarce, but are nice.

We loved our stay at Casa Del Melograno. We arrived after midnight and found it easy to navigate to from the bus (only 15 min walk) and check in was easy, with Simone being very helpful and communicative! The location was fantastic and a great spot to stay close to the Venice sights, while still having a very local feel. It had everything we needed, including a fridge and air conditioning which was a huge bonus in the August heat. Will be recommending this to our friends and coming to stay in our next visit to Venice.

Casa Del Melograno has my heart! I’ve been to Italy for 2 weeks vacation, stayed in 5 different cities and this property in Venice was so far the best experience from my trip. Simone and staff make sure to guarantee that you are more than guests and treat you like a queen/king. Breakfast is the star of the place, delicious! Plus having a breakfast outside in the patio was unforgettable, so beautiful! Our room was big and with canal views, clean, new and well maintained, nothing to complain! We had the canal view from our window and only sometimes we can hear boats or people talking outside. Simone was very kind helping carrying the luggage until the stairs outside since we’re leaving by train. I would also say that is very close to the train station and you will not have problems walking with your luggage. Don’t think twice, I definitely recommend this place!!!

Nothjng to complain, everything was amazing!

The location was terrific, and Stella was generous and helpful with my delayed arrival and with my need to extend my stay. The building interior and the lovely enclosed courtyard are so in keeping with the general feel of Venice. Everything was very clean and well looked after.

The only thing that would have improved on the room would be inclusion of an electric kettle or coffee maker. However I realise this is less of a tradition in Italy generally than it is in other countries.

Our stay at Casa Del Melograno could not have been better. First, the neighborhood is amazing. Close to the center but very quiet. Second, the garden is beautiful and we used it often. It was like a dream. And last but not least the people: Stella's welcoming was outstanding. She made us feel so welcome. It felt like she was inviting us to her house. Every morning (even though we did not opt for breakfast), she offered us coffee, tea, water... And always with a smile. Without a doubt, if I come back to Venice, it will be to Casa Del Melograno!

Nothing not to like

I stayed three nights alone. The hotel has a small river running in front of it, which makes you feel strongly that you are staying in Venice. It is also very close to the vaporetto stop, which was perfect during my stay. It was a little cold but there were blankets in the shelves so I were able to take them out and use them. And the owners are very friendly. He explained slowly and carefully to me, whose English is not my strong point. During my stay I went back to my room to get my luggage and it was being cleaned. So when I left the room to come back again, the owner followed me to let me know it was ok to enter the room. Even after I checked out, he helped me move my carry-on case as I passed the bridge in front of the hotel.

I would have liked to have a pot in the room, even if it was small. Also, since the room was facing the street, I could hear the occasional person walking by and the sound of carrying cases and talking, but late at night it was quiet.
