Pet friendly, such a good place to stay with your dog/s. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and good value for money.
It was very noisy when the guests from the late ferry arrived. Being right before Christmas a lot of the people who got in on the 12:30am ferry were in high spirits and were incredibly loud. The same guests were up from 5am making the same loud noises. I always plan my trips so I get a good rest and a good night sleep for driving the next day…unfortunately some of the other guests weren’t very considerate. This is not the motels fault but perhaps they could have someone there to meet the late ferry guests and make sure they are quiet.

The location was excellent! We could walk to the harbor or any desired store and restaurant in 5 minutes or less. There was also a grocery store right across the street. The management was nice and gave us recommendations for dining. We could also park the car right next to our room
The bathroom, while being spacious overall, was very cramped between the sink and toilet. Also, the sink had 2 spigots, so you couldn't get warm water, just hot or cold. The spigots were also tight to the edge of the sink. Maybe it was just our unit (#11).

We loved everything of our stay here! The staff was very nice and helpful. He suggested us some places to go for dinner, he told us everything we had to know about the city and he gave us some complimentary milk . They even had menus of the main restaurants there to look at! Room was spacious and the in room kitchen was very well furnished. Coffee, tea and sugar are complimentary. We stayed two nights but we would have loved to stay longer! Perfect spot, 5 minutes walking away from pier and restaurants. Supermarket is right in front of the lodge.

Hospitable owners during a pressure time of a weather event. Very accommodating. Even went the extra mile to ring the next day and return some footwear we left behind. Would recommend.
The booking platform said pet friendly and I paid. Then there was communication via the motel saying there was a small fee for pets. Was only $10, but I’m a tight arse so thought it was worth mentioning😉 Well worth the money. Was struggling to think of something constructive to say.

Staff were friendly, welcoming and made us feel like we were staying at their home not just their work place or business.
Based on the pictures on booking.com and my misinterpretation if the pictures verses the description I hadn't expected the open steep spiral staircase in the room (makes sense with the name 'mezzanine room' but the pics showed the differing height floor and I'd assumed that that was the mezzanine, (looking now the motels own website clearly shows this). Considering I was traveling solo with 2 pre schoolers this was a nightmare. But had I had older children this would've been BLISS! .

We had the 2 bedroom unit at the rear of the motel, so it was very quiet and plenty of room for the 2 of us. The kitchen had basic utensils, plates, mugs and glasses. With tea bags, coffee and hot chocolate supplies. The bathroom had body wash, moisturiser and shampoo/condition ... in pump packs not those annoying small plastic bottles :) It was only a short walk up from the ferry, shops and restaurants. A supermarket is across the street for food and wine.
There were a few minor maintenance jobs but nothing to affect our stay.

Beds were very comfy, room was warm and cosy on arrival and throughout our stay especially for the beginning of winter. Nice use of space. And was helpful to have a little kitchen area to cook on if needed. Water was hot. Great price for 5 of us including kids.
Although we had an electric fry pain in the kitchen, a saucepan would have been helpful to cook on the 2 hot plates provided on the bench. And a glass bowl for the microwave too. Just to help with basic cooking needs. Water pressure in shower could have been better but hey we had hot water and a tidy practical bathroom so can put up with it short term.

It was well equipped. Loved having the option to cook using the portable element. Plenty of towels. Bonus...electric blanket. It is lovely to have a suitcase stand, heater and free wifi. Very friendly manager who directed me to great walks. So close to town and waterfront. Amazingly friendly retail staff. Good sales. Bought lovely leather boots and Buxton wallets at better prices than the city. Awesome break. Thank you, Picton
Would like the net curtains shorter.......they looked a bit messy as too long

The price was incredibly cheap, and I had very low expectations. What I found was a perfectly equipped warm, lovely space. The added bonus was that I was traveling with my dog. For a token $10, he was able to stay. Thank you for a lovely overnight stop over.
Your office needs some loving - being here really made me nervous about what I had booked.

Perfectly positioned just minutes from the ferry terminal, which is why we were there. Very friendly greeting from the gentleman at reception, who took time to show us how things worked etc. Clean and cosy room, big bathroom and well equipped kitchenette. Also close to the marina and lots of eating places. We ended up at the Irish pub, which was great, and just down the same street. And bliss….real ground coffee!
