We had a great time at this hotel and I booked this hotel (Tabaiba Princess not the Maspalomas Princess though they are side-by-side) After combing the Internet for family friendly all inclusive resorts in Gran Canaria suitable for children and adults. I will try to make this review very detailed listing pros and cons . Pros: The location: Great location with great bus access into the town, and even the airport. I could’ve taken a €10 bus ride from the airport straight to the front of the hotel but I didn’t know so I took a €52 taxi from the airport to the hotel. Took the bus thrice during my stay and it was clean and efficient. Paid on the bus by card. Ambience. The resort is beautiful, lots of pools, greenery, palm trees, lots of sun beds as well so it wasn’t overcrowded. The reception area is also beautiful. The ambience generally is very picturesque. Lots of spots to take photos. We booked the hotel for 11 days and got four complementary dinners in the resident restaurant, this is separate from the daily all-inclusive dining of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack bars. The hotel just like the city is very clean infact one of the days I saw the staff cleaning even the elevator buttons. They work round the clock, cleaning the tables with speed and even the room service was prompt daily. Lots of activities to do as well, all you need to do is to check the hotel app with a bar code for the times and daily program schedule. There was always something to do round the clock except during meal times. My daughter had a blast and even the kids club had shows and activities for children daily, you just had to show up. The food selection was good, just that after a few days I got bored and craved some spice lol, I guess it’s just my non-European palate at play. The Mexican night menu was my favourite. Staff, was pleasant and I had nothing to fault with their service . Our room was spacious enough with amenities and a powerful blowdryer, no iron though.

Cons: The air conditioning in our room was a bit low, it got hot on some days and even with the temperature at the lowest it still wasn’t 10-10. The snack bars could have a better selection of mocktails instead of just soft drinks and slushies. The food selection could have more seasoning and spice but again it could just be palate preference. Besides these three things, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

The hotel has a beautiful green area, everything is clean, and the pools are excellent (they were quite warm at the end of February). The sand and gentle slope create the vibe of a real beach, making it perfect for kids. All the towels are new and soft, with beach towels changed twice a week. Free parking is available. Snack bars are open all day, and a huge plus for us was that we could take food to the pool. Both adults and kids loved the hotel!

The air conditioner in our room was very noisy. In February, we simply turned it off, but if it had been hot outside, I wouldn’t have been able to sleep with that sound. The room’s soundproofing wasn’t great either. The bed was comfortable, but the pillow wasn’t. Main restaurant: There were queues at the entrance, even though many outdoor tables remained uncleared for about 30 minutes. The food was fairly tasty but nothing special. The food in the themed restaurants was much better. The water park closed 10-15 minutes earlier than scheduled, even though the weather was good and there were still many kids in the water. It’s quite far from the ocean, but since we were there in winter, it wasn’t an issue for us.

Incredible resort, should be 5 stars! We chose to upgrade to the All Inclusive plus, which was definitely worth the money. Everything about the hotel looks new and modern. The staff are extremely friendly and have multiple activities on throughout the day. The food in the buffet was delicious, great selection and something different each day. There are so many pools to choose from, whether you want an ‘adults only’ quiet area or the busier main pool, where staff host some great activities. We will definitely be coming back to this resort in the future.

There were two or three occasions where we had asked for a cocktail and were given the ‘all inclusive’ version (boxed cocktails), as opposed to the ‘all inclusive plus’ version (freshly made cocktails). Minor issue but very different tastes between them, especially since we were paying for the fresher ingredients!

Food was mostly very good and at times excellent. The staff run the extremely large and very busy buffet restaurant extremely efficiently. Room was exceptionally spacious and immaculately clean. Staff all pleasant. The Gold package is definitely worth the extra payment.

Had a reservation for 21:00 for the Italian restaurant. By 21:30 all the food was being put away. I was unable to go for anymore food so I quickly got some of the desserts. Three staff members then put a cart next to my table and were chatting away while cleaning and setting tables for the next day. It was very uncomfortable. I felt like they just wanted me gone so they could clean up and leave. I left the dessert and left the restaurant. If this is happening the last reservation time should be earlier as it is ridiculous to expect someone to order drinks and eat a 3 course meal in ½hr.

The hotel was very large, but well laid out, several bars made no queues for drinks. Staff super professional and nice, food delicious made to order and large varied. Rooms comfortable and large, bed super comfortable, even those folding for a child. pools for children and adults, and also some heated, great at this time of year.

However, there were small shortcomings, e.g. poor activity during the day, nothing for teenagers, no aerobics or yoga during the day, it's a pity that having so much wonderful staff, no classes. Unfortunately, some dishes were not heated and completely cold, it's a pity, I don't understand why such a large amount was made immediately, where everything else was made to order.

Large clean rooms. Heated pools. Good food. The special restaurants a big plus. Staff was welcoming. Never had to wait at the bars. Worth updating to premium AI so had fresh orange juice at breakfast which was terrific. A good selection of international drinks if opting for premium. Kids had a lot of fun at the pools.

Probably need a car for good mobility

The aqua park was amazing for kids and even the big one for adults to have fun. The swimming pool is amazing We have an amazing time there. Staff has very lovely. Deffo a 5 start hotel

Food wasn’t amazing but that’s expected in this kind of hotels. Far from the beach/sea walking, and the walk is not very nice as the road is very bumpy.

The hotel looks very nice and the room was great, overall. The garden is nice, with palm trees and all sorts of plants and several bars with a good vibe. The swimming pools were just ok. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The food wasn't that good, with focus on quantity and not quality. On some occasions the food was even below average. The pillows are not comfortable at all, definitely not a 4 star hotel bedding. Also, the sunbeds from the pool area are insufficient (especially the adult only area) and there isn't any space to place more of them. The rule of not reserving sunbeds is promoted on their website, but not enforced.

Clean everywhere, amazing food variety tasting so fresh considering catering for thousands of guests, helpful staff, extremely friendly cleaners to our daughter every day in the corridors which was so cool of them, pools amazing for us and baby, location and taxi service to airport perfect, air conditioning perfect in room…. Definitely coming back!

The staff is very helpful, good and big room. For the day of check out if you have a later flight, you can book a shower room with them, which is a really nice bonus. The spa procedures are great, recommend to have a treatment done.

The buffet food at some days had loads of vegan and gluten free options but other days very few, I wish that would have been more solid and have good options every day.
