The location of the property was in a quiet area with lovely views above the old town. It was in a great location as it was only a few minutes walk from the beach and a few minutes from the centre of the old town. The staff were amazing. Cassia was very welcoming and helpful before and when I checked in. I spoke with Nazare on most days and she is really friendly and made guests feel so comfortable and welcome. She was very professional and is a real asset to the hotel. I never met the cleaning team but they did a great job in keeping the rooms very tidy, every day. The rooms were spacious and great value for money. I would definitely come back again and had a great time visiting Albufeira and the Algarve for the first time. Well done and thank you to all the staff at the hotel for being superb at looking after the guests so well :)

We really appreciated being given a room with a balcony, even though it was right above the pool. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and we slept really well, as it was also quite quiet at night. The room was spacious and the bathroom too. The location was great to grab an Uber and explore beautiful beaches nearby. Very helpful staff.

It's obviously an old hotel and there was only one plug in the room but reception provided us with an extension lead, which helped. No air-conditioning but a loud fan. We ended up switching it off and slept with the doors open. Saw a cockroach in the bathroom one night. Breakfast was very plain to be honest - ham and cheese, pastries, oddly looking scrambled eggs and bacon, which we didn't try, as they didn't look very appetising. Given all this, I think it was a bit pricey for what it is but overall we enjoyed our stay. Did not try the pool, as it was quite small and there were always quite a few people.

The stuff was very friendly. Our room was nearby the pool. The hotel and our room was very clean. And the location is very good keeping in mind that we were nearby the centre and the beach and had a nice see view

We weren’t satisfied with the breakfast. The quality wasn’t good and everyday it was the same, with not a lot of options to choose. The last 3 days we ate breakfast at a cafe.

Location is excellent , not noisy. The view from the balcony both from the room and from breakfast (5th floor). The room was spacious and had a balcony with a terrific ocean view. Extremely clean and very comfortable beds. The staff was very nice and family friendly. Parking is easy (at least it was during the time we were there)

Not a deal breaker but needs to be said - lack of soap, shampoo for the shower (little soaps are fine but a proper shampoo dispenser would be perfect)

Really enjoyed our couples holiday to hotel mar a vista. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially receptionist Carla. The rooms were really clean and cleaned everyday and fresh towels daily. The view from our balcony was beautiful. Comfortable beds. All our requests were accommodated and the staff were able to hold our luggage on the day of our check-out. There was also a mini fridge in the room which was really useful.

I recently stayed at Mar À Vista, and I must say it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The room we were given was exactly what we wanted, offering a stunning view that made our stay even more special! The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. From the lobby to our room, everything was spotless and well-maintained.

The breakfast food was fresh and delicious, though I feel it could benefit from a bit more variety. Adding a few more options would make the breakfast experience even better.

The location to the marvellous and atmospheric old town and the beautiful golden sandy beaches with the lovely clean blue relaxing and calming Atlantic ocean. The staff were very polite and requested taxies for me whenever I needed one.

Room 203. The bath needed to be cleaned more or replaced with a new one. No light fittings to the ceiling only on the walls which I had to walk around the room with the door open at night to let light in to see the wall light switches. Not enough power sockets, none near my bed so had to unplug the TV to charge my mobile phone.

The location is great, the staff is super friendly and the bedroom was very comfortable and clean. We loved having a balcony as well and it was great to be within a walking distance of the main attractions. Would definitely recommend

Was a nice big place, not too far from old town and got a nice view of the ocean. Staff on the front desk were lovely.

Unfortunately there wasn’t much ceiling/floor insulation and one of the nights there was a lady above us just casually walking around in high heels at midnight for about half an hour on tiled floors which was a pit of a nuisance cause it was super loud not really the hotels fault though.
