I really enjoyed my stay at Bunker 10-Z in Brno. The atmosphere is truly unique – spending the night in a former nuclear fallout shelter is an experience in itself. The concept and the history behind the place create a special vibe you won’t find in a regular hotel. While it might not offer the comfort of a standard accommodation, I think that’s part of its charm. For one or two nights, it’s a fascinating and memorable alternative – you get to step into history while still having the essentials you need for your stay. If you’re looking for something different, a place with character and a story to tell, Bunker 10-Z is definitely worth trying.

-Very interesting place and a cool idea. -Room was nice and cool when ~35C outside. -Museum was really cool. -Its pretty bare bones and basic, but that's the charm of the place.

-Tried to book an extra night directly from the hostel, but the person working nights had no idea now to do it, and when she looked at it, quoted me a price that was 5x what I was paid when I booked the extra night on the Booking app. -The shared male bathroom was totally decent, but there was no mirror. I'm not super vain and require a mirror, but I think adding one at the sinks in the shared bathroom is a reasonable request. Had to comb my hair with a selfie cam on my phone.

Staying at 10-Z Bunker was an experience I’ll never forget – it’s not just accommodation, it’s an adventure! The atmosphere of a former nuclear shelter right in the heart of Brno is something truly unique. Sleeping in an actual bunker while still having all the comforts you need – clean beds, working showers, and surprisingly cozy surroundings – was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the check-in included a short historical intro to the bunker, which made the whole stay even more memorable. Everything was clean, functional, and full of small thematic details. If you love industrial design, military aesthetics, and a bit of adventure, this place is a must. And the breakfast? Served on real ammunition boxes – clever and tasty! Highly recommended for anyone looking for something different from the usual hotel experience. I’ll definitely come back – not just for the bed, but for the atmosphere.

The "Cold War Bunker" experience is, and was, exactly what i was expecting, in fact i'm pretty sure the "guest's" who it was built for couldn't have experienced my comparable luxury. It's something different from the norm which i why a chose to visit and stay in the first place. It's also a working museum for visitors during the day, even if you don't fancy overnight it's worth seeing. The Bunker is so close to Brno city centre, under the castle basically, it's a perfect location. Breakfast was a simple Continental buffet which was more than adequate, not the rations i was expecting :-)

Staying in Bunker 10-Z was a real highlight of our month in the Czech Republic. I didn't book it for comfort but for the unique experience and that it was! Its a rare opportunity to experience first hand living in a bunker....don't go looking for comfort or a luxury bathroom because you will be disappointed. I booked with no expectations of comfort but the experience exceeded any and all expectations. Breakfast was all that one needs and was plentiful.

The parking situation here leaves much to be desired! The only option is across the street in an extremely expensive parking garage which will cost more than the total cost of staying in the bunker when it is all said and done. It can be very confusing to know where else to park and the staff member who was on duty when we checked in was totally uninformed. Her response when we inquired about where else to park other than the expensive options at the two parking garages nearby was that she doesn't personally have a car and thus she offer us any answers. I believe this property should provide some clarity as to how or where to secure parking.

Listen. If you come to this place please please understand that you are booking an immersive experience and not a hotel/hostel designed to be comfortable and have all the usual luxuries you expect from a hostel around a similar price. Instead you get your socks blown off by the authenticity of the whole place. Guards in uniform and every period correct. I loved my stay and the chance to put myself into the shoes of other people from different eras. This place is honestly unforgettable for all the right reasons. Please enjoy the experience. Oh and by the way the internet is good and the showers are roasting hot. The continental style breakfast was perfect too.

That I could not stay longer

Definitely a place you do it for the experience, because there´s certainly not many like it. It´s a WW2 bunker thats been a soviet era installation, and the rooms are certainly styled into that. Personally I loved it, the museum is also awesome (free access with the room). The room was very stylized, like a trip back in time. Breakfast was also really good, the food was quite high quality. Price to location is excellent, right below the castle. Recommended for a short stay, so you can freely enjoy it.

Not a negative, but it is a bit cold (it´s a bunker after all). Don´t forget to bring some warm clothes for the night!

I recommend if you want to live the experience. It's a bunker so don't go expecting a 5 stars hotel. My experience was really good, the staff is nice, breakfast is really good. It's cold so bring adequate clothes also in summer. The sleeping sack they provide is heavy so it keeps you warm at night. Wifi worked good in the room. The water in the shower was hot. They allowed to leave my luggage after check out which was really helpful. You can also attend a free tour of the bunker which I sadly didn't have time to do. I'd definitely recommend the experience

Great location near the city center, with a unique museum experience that gives you a taste of what it’s like to live in a bunker — at least for one night. One tip for fellow travelers: bring some warm clothing, as it gets quite chilly at night inside the bunker, which is understandable given it’s underground.

There was no cellular reception in the area — while the Wi-Fi works well, just be aware that regular phone service may not be available. It also got a bit chilly at night, and the room had a slight damp mop smell, which is understandable given the challenges of ventilating an underground space.

It's a bunker, one does this for the experience and I cannot recommend it for more than a single night. One requires a map to find their room, which is very basic and equipped with a (bunk)bed with a sleeping bag. Facilities are otherwise good, with the bathrooms in particularly being quite decent (for a bunker) and, thankfully, heated water. Breakfast is provided, as is a free tour of the bunker if you stay the night. The location in Brno is perfect: effectively under the castle and directly opposite the beginning of the old town, meaning everything you need is just a few minutes walk away.

In my opinion, the experience is a little too authentic, and more can be done to make the stay more comfortable. The beds are not great and you sleep in a sleeping bag. The rooms have limited outlets (one in ours) meaning you might have trouble if you are reliant on your device(s). We were four and two of us had power banks, but if we didn't this could have been an issue. The breakfast, likewise, was fine but didn't need to be so authentic - this is still effectively a hotel, and its not super cheap to boot. I still recommend the experience but definitely know what you're getting yourself into
