Pros: The hotel room is very attractive; staff are very helpful; the breakfast is fantastic; and we had a delicious dinner at the hotel's Italian restaurant. The location is reasonably convenient for most activities--about a 15 minute walk from the Ferry/Aker Brygge/ Nobel Peace Center area.

Cons: While we enjoyed our stay, there were a few things we didn't like. The bathroom was very large and attractive, but strangely designed--the sink area was the size of one in a ship's cabin and there was almost nowhere to put our stuff, the sink itself was about two or three inches deep, and there were no hooks anywhere. Please add hooks for hand towels near the sink, at the very least! Also, there are a bunch of bars directly across from the hotel, and there was a LOT of noise coming from the bars until very late at night even on weeknights. We were on the top floor and it was still extremely loud. The cleaners made the bed every day, but didn't hang, straighten, or replace the towels--just left them wet and crumbled.

The staff are delightful - at reception, breakfast & housekeeping- always smiling & helpful. Wonderful breakfasts - loved the choice & quality of the food. Thank you for providing such a great variety of healthy options! Comfortable room with modern amenities. Ideally located for walking to all the sights of Oslo - such a lovely city, with a calm and relaxed vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nothing we didn’t like, but these suggestions might be helpful as improvements: 1. Some nice, luxury new towels would be great! 2. A few more English speaking channels on the TV would be helpful. 3. The addition of a bar would be an asset, also with bar snacks.

A top location in the center of the city, very close to the City Hall and the Palace. Almost all sites worth visiting are within walking distance, including 4 shopping centers. Not to mention that the bookstore from Trier's "The Worst Person in the World" film is 3 minutes away - a hidden gem for movie lovers. The Junior Suite (803) is fantastic - spacious with a bedroom and a living room (completely separate). The bathroom is lovely, with ample L'Occitane products. The variety at breakfast is also impressive - super tasty options from eggs to baked goods, to salmon and hand-made chocolate! The staff is very kind, well-trained, and always happy to help. We were offered an early check-in, which was a nice surprise, and a free breakfast package to-go on our last day (we had to leave the hotel at 4:45 in the morning).

The staff members of the hotel were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing. That was definitely one of the best we’ve ever had in a hotel.

It was very cold, temperature wise, in general in the hotel and in the room. We couldn’t adjust the temperature to our comfort, although maintenance did look after the problem. Other than that, everything was great.

Previous reviews had talked about noise from the street below. Our first two nights were Friday and Saturday and the two bars with street seating were open and very noisy until 3.30am. If you are staying across a weekend then definitely request a room not overlooking the street. The staff were brilliant and after the second night found us an equivalent room with different outlook so apart from this couldn’t fault the hotel.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to help our travel companions, who inadvertently left their passports in the Oslo hotel safe. We traveled to Bergen by train and stayed in the Thon Rosenkrantz in Bergen as well. We discovered the issue fairly late at night, and had less than 24 hours to figure out how to get the passport from Oslo to Bergen, as we were due to leave Bergen and fly home to the US at 5 am the following day. A member of the Oslo staff actually went to the train station to see if the conductor could bring it with him on his overnight train journey. He couldn't. A Bergen staff member was able to contact a luggage courier service, past 11 pm, and arrange for them to pick up the passport and get it to us the next evening. Huge kudos to the staff at both hotels for helping our friends avoid a catastrophe. The breakfast was phenomenal and the location city center was perfect.

Towels on the thin side

Great location. It was quiet and within walking distance to everything we wanted to visit for just a couple of days in Oslo. The hotel is also very close to public transport for trams, trains, getting to and from airport and central station. Our room wasn’t huge, but plenty big enough, with high quality facilities and furnishings, and out-of-the-ordinary and interesting decor and design. Processes for check-in and -out were simple and smooth,and staff were very helpful and straightforward. Everything we needed for a short stay.

It was a pity that we needed to catch an early flight out of Oslo, and we missed the hotel breakfast we had paid for. A bar would be nice, but there are also plenty of options very close to the hotel.

Small-ish but tidy and pleasant looking room with vibrant colours. Inviting lounge area on the top floor, very decent gym, and very good breakfast with vast number of tasty options. Ideal location just of the main thoroughfare, yet nice and quiet, and close to the harbour with ferry services.

The air conditioning was a bit annoying at times, with air blowing right above the bed. The room I was assigned didn't have any view whatsoever, only facing a grey wall, which was sincerely disappointing for a 4-night stay.

Cute efficient boutique hotel. Exceptional staff and incredible breakfast. Loved the lobby coffee tea and sparkling/still water spigot to fill your water bottle. Tram stop right outside hotel and you can walk everywhere easily. Loved the hotel staff especially the cook who recommended dishes to me every morning. The lox, herring and shrimp were delicious. They had freshly baked breads and more food than you can eat and beautifully presented. We never had to eat lunch!

We probably should have selected a larger room!

Good location, friendly and helpful staff, Oslo’s best breakfast definitely lived up to the title.

The TV didn’t work the first day and the shower was flooding the whole bathroom, we reported it and were advised that they would look at it whilst we were out for the day, however it wasn’t as they only have one janitor and he was day off, the same happened the next day as he was off sick, I fixed it myself in the end. I can’t fault the staff they were very attentive and it’s not their fault the hotel only has one person to deal with repairs.
