I had the absolute best stay at the Marina Hotel - it’s genuinely one of the finest hotels I’ve ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, the staff were nothing short of amazing - friendly, helpful, and always going the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. The room service was delicious, and the food was truly exceptional. Every meal felt like a treat, and it made staying in even more enjoyable. Speaking of the hotel room, I absolutely adored the teal-themed décor - it added such a fresh, calming touch. The room was warm, comfortable, and had a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The shower was fantastic, and every detail was thoughtfully designed for comfort. One of the highlights was the view of the river - absolutely lovely and so peaceful to wake up to. I felt relaxed and completely at ease throughout my entire stay. This hotel is now my go-to choice for any future visits to Waterford - it’s simply unmatched. The Marina Hotel has set the bar incredibly high. If you’re considering a trip, don’t think twice - this is the place to stay! 🌊✨

Nothing, it was all absolutely perfect, I loved staying here and loved my hotel room.

Even though we had no frame of reference of expectation in Waterford, both the town and this excellent property far exceeded expectations. The corner suite was massive in size and afforded a spectacular view of the Suir River and surrounds - a truly majestic setting. Further, the location is just outside the city centre of a very walkable and charming, historic city. The breakfast was most excellent; service was keen, and the bar keep at the pub on site was a delight. There was nothing but praise among our group for this top shelf location. We would stay here again.

We booked a river view room it was a lovely sunny day so the view was absolutely gorgeous. We were celebrating our anniversary and the hotel has gifted us some chocolates. The man checking us in at reception was absolutely lovely I can't remember his name but I believe it started with C? Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely keep this hotel in mind next time we are staying in Waterford.

We got a meal and drinks in the hotel restaurant, the food was beautiful no complaints but the portion of chips that came with it wasn't the largest, other than that everything was perfect.

Everything about the hotel was faultless, the bar staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Everyone was friendly. The room was perfect, a lovely room. Food was good, no complaints.

The heat in room. It was boiling. The management should ensure heating is either turned off by 9pm, to ensure a cool room so it would comfortable to sleep or turn down temperature. I had to get up at 3am to turn off radiator, because before leaving room for a few hours, we thought the heat would be off by time we got back. It was very uncomfortable & didn't get a great sleep. But otherwise, everything was great.

We arrived late in the evening as our ferry had been delayed. Check in was quick, and the location of the hotel was excellent - in a quiet area but within walking distance of all the local attractions. Our evening meal was very substantial!

The room was very hot in the evening and overnight. We looked for a heating or air conditioning controller but there wasn't one. Eventually we found the central heating radiator (behind a chair), which was full on. The room was otherwise fine with good shower and comfortable bed, and the river view was delightful.

Lovely and comfortable room. Amazing shower with great pressure. Delicious food. Helpful, friendly & polite staff particularly in the bar. When the body wash in the shower ran out, I phoned reception to notify them and they sent a new one up immediately. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend the Waterford Marina Hotel.

I didn't sleep well as I found the room too hot despite the in room radiator not being on. When checking out the receptionist did inform me that they do have fans which guests can request.

The room was super - a few times we wished for A/C, but on the whole it was comfortable especially with the window open and the door slightly open. Staff are exceptionally friendly. Location on the river Suir is cool, as you can watch tides come and go AND see lots of boats on the water. We were lucky enough to see the launch of a new dragon boat in honor of a local doctor! Easy walks to attractions: Viking & crystal, etc. Waterford Marina provides a great spot for a relaxing time in a nice town. We were there for a week. Laundry service is fast and reasonable! Bar & restaurant pretty good too.

We should have asked for a fan when it warmed up a bit, but didn't think of it - so it wasn't that bad. Our room was located across the hall from the cleaners' supply closet, so more noise from that daily. Otherwise a quiet hotel.

We had a beautiful room and spotlessly clean The staff made our trip this year. Both in the bar and at the breakfast. The staff in the bar were exceptional. Especially the lady that served our table. Unfortunately I didn't get her name but she had a beautiful grey Bob. This lady couldn't of been more helpful, so accommodating and thoughtful. There was such an amazing energy that we couldn't of not enjoyed our meal. She was also really kind to our kids. They were still talking about her today.

The only thing we missed was a bath. The kids were really looking forward to it. This was the only negative that I can think of.

The hotel is at the great location beside the river. I have booked a river view and a great view with sunrise. 5 minutes walking distance to the city center & Christmas market. The breakfast options were very good. Buffet, vegetarian options were also there (limited vegan). Bar beside the restaurant. Live musics on Saturday, connect to Netflix via phone. So a great hotel for a stay cation. Barbara at reception helped us in getting know about the city as well.

Parking issue. Even though they have separate parking space, remains full most of time either indoor or outdoor.

Great hotel in the centre of Waterford, perfectly located for eating out/pubs. 5 minutes walk to the promenade along the River. We had booked a twin room which turned out to be a triple in fact with a huge double bed and a single. The room was a great size and we even had a partial view of the river. Bed was super comfy. Bathroom was very good with a powerful shower and lashings of hot water. Breakfast was included in our stay and there was plenty of choice of hot and cold food which was well cooked and tasty. Coffee from the machine was excellent. We liked that there was secure parking on site too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and warm. We didn't eat in the bar but the food looked and smelled amazing and looked to be great portions. There is live entertainment on every Friday and Saturday night but we didn't stay for that so can't really comment. All in all, a perfect stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

If I'm being picky the room would benefit from a bit more light for those of us who like to have a full face of make up before braving the outside world ;) The magnifying mirror was just too weird. No aircon for the summer months but there is a table top fan provided.
