The location was perfect, easy to find and after such a long drive we didn’t have to contend with the Melbourne traffic as the motel is towards the end of Lilydale. We also enjoyed the walk into Lilydale to the shops. Also, there is a garage just across the road and easy to fill up before leaving. The staff greeted us with a smile and very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend your motel and would return ourselves. Thank you.

Conveniently located to attractions (just a few mins drive). Place was clean, tidy, and comfy. Bathroom was especially pristine. Space was plenty for a family.

There weren't any other facilities (pool, gym etc) but this is to be expected considering the price and it matched the description. Just a good place to rest for the night and play board games. We could smell cigarettes coming from the outside of the room however, even when the doors and windows were shut.

We liked the fact that BILL(staff on duty when we checked in) was very flexible in accommodating our request for a ground floor room instead of the original upstairs room. It was very difficult for my wife to take the ramp going upstairs as she is still recovering from total knee replacement, aided by a walking stick.

The mattress seriously needs replacing, it can induce back pain the morning after.

We asked upon arrival to change our upstairs room to downstairs and manager/owner was extremely accommodating and friendly. Room had been recently renovated and was spacious, clean with very comfortable beds. Good location. Walking distance for dinner to the International Hotel.

Doesn't matter for customers, but from the motel owners point of view, it could do with a mow and new sign out the front, so that appearance outside matches the great rooms. Gardens a a bit shabby too, but didn't worry us. For a family room, more towel rails in the bathroom would be a bonus instead of just one.

The ground floor room ( No 18 ) was exceptionally clean and well equipped. the bed was one of the best hotel beds that I have EVER slept in and I am 75 years old, and this is the 12th country I have lived in so I have slept in a few!!! Seriously, most hotel beds are "well used" cheap foam mattresses. This was NOT THE CASE at this hotel. Highly recommend it to other visitors/guest. It is certainly a hotel that I will be re-visiting when I next travel to Melbourne. We asked for an extra pillow, and this was provided immediately.

Nothing. For the price it was perfect. the only issue I had on one of the two days we stayed, was that another guest used our car space.... This is obviously not the fault of the hotel or management.

The large apartment was great for my family, only problem was the floors looked clean however the 2 yr old ended up with very black feet after running around the apartment in bare feet. Had to clean his feet before he got in between the white sheets on the bed!

The room was a good size and was very clean. The bed was comfortable with lovely crisp white sheets. Modern bathroom with great shower. Very reasonable tariff.

Our room was directly facing the steel stairs for the upper floors. The constant rattling noise from these stairs when people walked up or down especially late at night was annoying.

The bathroom has been recently renovated and was very nice. The shower was amazing and, unlike a lot of motels, there was instant hot water!

Nothing to complain about. I was happy with my stay there.

For us having a car, location is amazing. We live in Nth East Victoria, so Econo Lodge is much easier to drive away next morning, using Melba Highway through to Yea, and onwards. No battling Melbourne inner city traffic & all the roadworks. Great location if you're plan is to visit the Yarra Valley wineries

No issues
