This is my 3rd stay in Westgate. I love every minute of our stay, from stepping into the lobby once we arrive. The staff always greet us with a smile, and will always be ready to lend a hand, be it helping us throw our rubbish we had on hand, opening doors, holding the lift, helping with our luggages, wishing us good night (every night), etc. We arrived on a day of unexpected typhoon, but they were always ready with umbrellas for us, and warmly reminded us to stay safe and not wander off too far. Everyone we met was wonderful: housekeeping, butlers, concierge, guest relations managers, etc. Not to mention the excellent location (3 min walk to mrt exit 6) and comfortable room. I will be back for the 4th time.

This hotel is located minutes away from Ximen MRT, Ximending walking streets (night market) and other major tourist attractions. The staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and well kept. The only thing is that my room was directly opposite the service elevator so it got quite noisy during the day as housekeeping staff were working and chatting away. Suggest if you need silence (to work or whatever) ask them not to allocate you room 14 on any floor.

The service, the location and cleanliness is very impressive, they staff is so helpful starting from I make my reservation, Wing Lam from the back office is so patient and helpful, next time when I back to Taipei Westgate is my only choice. Thanks everyone make my stay a memorable experience 😊

Good location just behind Ximen station exit 6. Accessible to train station and Ximending. Staffs are friendly and give you immediate attention when you need help. Room is clean and comfortable. Room cleaning service even exist even after cleaning hours (usually other hotel may give a stated timing 11am - 3pm) Well known hotel and is easier to communicate to the taxi driver where the place is.

Cleaning starts from around 10plus am and the sound of cleaning do travel into the room. If you love to wake up late or who love to take nap in the early afternoon you may want to get ready with ear plug.

Location was excellent. Everything iconic about taiwanese food can be found right downstairs the hotel. Cab stand is directly in front of the hotel too. Staff always greeted us with a smile regardless the time of day, always very happy to lend a helping hand and wish us a good day. When they noticed our hands were full from carrying our child and holding bags, they would take the initiative to assist us with the elevator and tap us in. Very accommodating to all requests and eager to help. Breakfast spread was small but delicious. Overall would recommend.

Room was a lot smaller than appeared in photos, and therefore it feels like the room rate wasn't of good value. When asked, they said that it was the largest room that was available in the hotel. This is the first time we are in a hotel where the shower and toilet were within the room itself instead of a separate area / room.

Service was exceptional as the staff were friendly and eager to serve. One of the staff even made a dash from the main door after greeting us to pressing the lift. Location was very good as well. It was right outside the train station and 2 minutes walk to Ximending area. Hotel provides unlimited bottled water supply. The breakfast spread was sufficient, though the streets of Taipei would have definitely better breakfast to offer.

Room was a little smaller than expected and not as sound proofed as we could hear our neighbor's door. Also the bed was very hard and pillows are a little too flat that we needed to request for more pillows.

I am pleased to share my review of the Westgate Hotel. My recent stay was an excellent experience, where the service level was exceptional in every way. The family room provided ample space for my family's comfort and was very clean throughout our stay. The room's sound insulation was particularly noteworthy, as we hardly heard any road noise or sound from outside the room. Furthermore, the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction was evident when we had to check out early due to an early morning flight. The hotel kindly prepared three delicious breakfast items for us to bring along and enjoy on the go. This small but thoughtful gesture went above and beyond our expectations and left us with a positive impression. In addition to its exceptional service, the Westgate Hotel's location is also noteworthy. It is conveniently situated next to the train station, making it easy to access various parts of the city. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional stay in a fantastic location.

Westgate Hotel is like a 2nd home whenever I travel to Taipei for work or leisure. Excellent location just next to Ximending station, shopping and eating places. Service is good and staff are friendly - one of them went the extra mile to call the local banks to enquire if they accept SGD for currency exchange so that I do not have to make a wasted trip (even though the hotel offers currency exchange services but the rate is not as good, and there is a daily cap). Love the breakfast too, especially the porridge and toppings. Room is clean and comfortable with free WIFI. Sanitizers are available within hotel - inside lifts, reception.

Location excellent. 1min walk to ximen mrt station. And it's in the heart of ximending, very convenient. Staff were very friendly. Very helpful. Service superb! Like a 5 star hotel. They even packed breakfast for us as we had to check out early for our flight that day. Rooms were very clean. Spotless. Bed very comfortable. We stayed a week here and it was superb!

As usual, the hotel is great for its location and proximity to eateries and shopping.

This time the room I was given wasn’t great as it’s next to an emergency door and the staff lift. It’s noisy. So I hope not to be given this room next time. I didn’t make any feedback as it’s the first time I got this room, probably due to the category I booked.
