we’ve been going to Le Suffren for many years bar Covid. we like the quality and it’s location since we were not looking for a beachside resort.

The restaurant manager was rude and look frustrated by treating us poorly for 2 days with his buffet forcing it upon us when asked of a la carte menu. He spoilt our evening two nights in a row with his attitude and the way he addressed us! On our last night i refuse his rudeness and had the receptionist deal with him and they did👏🏻

Location was perfect, excellent breakfast, easy access with the boat to the waterfront with friendly skippers. Ideal hotel for a nice relaxing holiday. Will definitely be back

Just something that we didn't like during our 5 nights stay (1) the mini bar was not cold. Even the first day I mentioned to the staff nobody came to fixed. My friends was in room 324, 326 for them also was not working. (2) our room 334 and my friends rooms 324 and 326 there was a bad smell in the shower ,have to use the shower gel to clean first then the smell will go. Upon check out I have mentioned all to the receptionist and I do hope its well noted and fixed for other coming guest. But this didn't make us not have a pleasant stay . We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to be back again.

City hotel with good location and services. Large 2 floors apartments, sound proof, well furnished with complete kitchen appliances and a veranda facing a well maintained garden & the swimming pool. Room dedicated car parking. Good service overall, including the helpful senior concierge, the room service and the front & back office staff. Lively bar expecially on weekends and reasonable priced two good restaurants.

Sometimes the shuttle boat connecting the hotel with the city is not available and the connecting mobile bridge is open only from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. imposing an additional 10 minutes detour to reach downtown. Weekend evening might be noisy from 9 to 12 due to the open air bar or private events. Wild dogs might camp in the garden. Although a growing problem of the entire island, better fencing should be installed at the hotel.

Staffing, breakfast, location was perfect. Keep up the good work Le Suffren team, Especially the old porter at the reception, I forget to asked his name. He is very professional, he always have a positive answer to all our request. And all the food and beverage staff was so nice and very welcoming.

Requested a small decoration in my room for my husband birthday, but was not done. Reception staff forget about it. House keeping forget to put bathroom items on our last night at the hotel. Hotel had a little engine problem with the boat, but do not worry go to the reception and they will organize a transport. (Driver feedback: sat in his driver sit and did not even help with the door van, the door was a little hard to open)

Loved the location across from very a nice shopping mall and restaurants. During our stay, we were so appreciative of the great customer service from Sharmila, the manager. We did not actually have the breakfast or dinner buffets but they did look excellent. If we were staying longer we would have tried them out.

It was a bit frustrating that the water taxi was often not available or available for a limited number of hours. When it was working, it was great and the operators were very pleasant.

very friendly and helpful staff. good location. powerful air condition. breakfast like dinner (englsih breakfast) keeps full the whole day.

rooms are a bit outdated. need refreshening. doors are lose. windows not locking. bathroom shower need to be renewed. bed pillows as flat as a paper. some rooms have usb recharge plugs some others dont and if you dont have an adapter, trouble! cause most plugs are UK type.

Great little hotel in the marina if you need to stay near Port Louis (10 min walking distance to the centre via a boat crossing managed by the hotel). Stayed here with a colleague whilst visiting for work. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff very attentive and welcoming. I had previously stayed here 3 months earlier and left a shirt and cuff links behind, which I only realised once home. A quick couple of calls, a small payment, and the items were promptly sent back to me via airmail. The staff were incredibly accommodating and kind in resolving this issue. The food is excellent, the buffet less so; anything a la carte or from the sushi restaurant is delicious. And the gym features modern and clean equipment. Would definitely recommend for business travellers.

Slightly pricey, although it is targeting business travelers needing to work in Port Louis, so you're paying for the convenience of being able to walk to the centre of Port Louis in under 10 mins.

Great location with the water taxi making easy access to the waterfront and the town. Good sized pool, excellent breakfast, scrambled eggs to die for, spacious, luxurious rooms. We were upgraded from a junior suite to an apartment, lovely. Very friendly staff. We asked for a late checkout because we had a night flight and they let us use the room until 4pm which was very generous and we gratefully accepted.

Didn’t realise there was no elevator.

- The vanity are in the bathroom is a bit low. - Room was not well cleaned property as thee were dust on the carpet & behind the sofa as well as a metal bolt in the tea/cofee place holder - Water kept dripping from the shower even when not using.

This is a business hotel and very well placed for access to the centre of Port Louis. The restaurant has some very good food, but you do pay a premium for that. If you tire of the restaurant, there is a free boat which gives access to a modern harbourside development with many quality restaurants. I found it a very quiet place to chill out after a relaxing day. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well appointed, the ground floor rooms have patio doors leading to a small garden, very nice. Again this is a business hotel, it's a taxi ride to any of the beaches, but they do have their own manufactured beach and a pool you can sit round and these were very quiet during our stay, despite the hotel being at 90%+ capacity.

I was a bit surprised to find that the prices for food and the local beer were on a par with the UK and the wine was more expensive. That said, only one of our group had food that they though was less than perfect and they do have a great menu.
