This was simply a marvellous location for our first-time vistit to Florence. Thanks to the hotel manager Daniela, we had a foolproof description for the self check in, when we arrived from the airport. Everything worked perfectly. Serristori Palace is located directly next to the river Arno. From our spacious apartment we had a magnificent view across the river to the historic city with all its famous sights, like the cathedral, Uffizi gallery, Ponte Vecchio etc.. Everything is within walking distance. Lots of good restaurants are also nearby. We will have to come back for a second time. That’s promised.

Family of 3 and very picky travelers. I will say that this place exceeded expectations. There is an easy to find front desk with a representative on shift who will give you the keys and answer the questions. You must keep in mind that this place is on a busy street and you will not have complete and total silence in the room. However, the old architecture of solid stone walls works very good in sound suppression. The parking situation is not the best. We opted for a very close open street parking where you will need to spend around 50 Euros to park per day. Parking garages around are not very good and are still nearly as expensive. But the walk to all the good spots is short, this location is very good for tourists.
Parking is a bit of a struggle in this part of town.

The room was absolutely beautiful, with a terrace and big windows, large rooms and lovely decor.
When it came time to leave there were no taxis available. The receptionist suggested we take a bus to the train station, as the stop was right outside the hotel. However, when we asked him how to get tickets for the bus, the receptionist said it was easy to pay with credit card aboard the bus. He failed to mention that you have to have a DIFFERENT credit card for every person. We were traveling with our 2 kids and we didn't have 4 different credit cards, so we got a €120 fine. The system in Florence is the problem, but our hotel should have and give the correct information to clients.

The property building was so nice, as you enter, the room was the same. Really clean, I travel a lot and I can tell when a property is truly cleaned or not. This property definitely is. The place was also spacious and had these gorgeous huge windows! So much natural light in the property. The reception assisting with check in and providing information were very kind, warm and helpful!
Warning to other potential customers, I got multiple messages requesting me to provide data and payment. I was confused as I already paid through booking, reached out to the property and was told it was scammers!! Good thing I was skeptical so be aware!! Although I did know it was a little further away from the center, it was different when you have to walk back and forth every day for those like me who is not used to it. There is an option for taxi (which can get expensive) or a bus. If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle but still be pretty close, this is a great location.

Location was lovely, quiet, a little far from shops but Florence is small enough to get everywhere on foot. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had all necessary appliances and pots/pans etc. It was really nice to have a place to land and cook our own food after a day of exploring. Close to a bunch of the gardens and beautiful piazzas, as well as the gorgeous Old Bridge (Ponte vecchio). Loved the balcony and the shutters/curtains combination. Looked great and also kept light and heat out in the day time.
Closest grocer/supermarket (CONAD) was across the river, so there's a bit of a hike if you need some groceries. Kitchen also did not come stocked with any basics, so get your own butter and salt/pepper if you want to cook a proper meal.

Staff is very nice, everything I asked - they always helped me. Historical building, high celling, beautiful windows, authentic interior and not cold hard wood floor. Kitchen is equipped enough. Washing/ drying on premises. 5 min walk to very center. I would rate value for money as 9.
We had bad internet connection, patchy and had to use cellular data. I dont see a lot of people complaining about it maybe it was a temporary thing but was not fixed for 5 days. If you need to work - just confirm before. Noise, before complaining about this ; fair to say it may apply to 99% of Florance, historical wooden windows were not build for noise isolation from raging motocycle. No noise in the building, the walls are actually very solid. Even if you are facing inside yard take wax earplugs, they do the job ( not regulars)

Lovely apartments near the center of Florence, 10 15 minutes walking distance. Nice self check in, apartment was equipped with everything you might need. Two toilets in the apartment
It was generally clean although if you strayed from the path there was lint and hair all around like under the sink in one of the toilets and in the storage closets and also one of the sink in the toilet was clogged with food and debris so it did not drain. Also, if you come with car, you're most probably spending 30 euros per night for parking. The parking is like 5 10 minutes by car, you'll leave the car, get a ticket and then you'll either walk back or a man from the car park will use your car to drive you back to the apartment and then back. When you want to use your car you need to call in advance with the time when you'll need your car so they can bring it out. We ended up waiting 30 mins more for the car even though we called in hour and a half in advance.

We enjoyed our stay at Serristori Palace very much. The location is incredibly convenient being steps away from Porta San Niccolo. The view across the Arno to the beautiful landmarks of Florence was breath taking. While being so close to all that this beautiful city has to offer it was a refreshing place of refuge away from the hustle and bustle of the more busy tourist center. The staff were kind and always ready to help when needed. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable, truly felt like a home away from home.

Our apartment was small for 4 but clean and comfortable. The linen was of good quality and the air con was a life saver. The area is really quiet yet just a short distance from all the crowded centre. There are not many cafes nearby but there is an excellent Hosteria del Bricco behind the apartments and a great little shop Le Bonta di Michele.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE PIN CODE FOR ADMISSION BEFORE YOU TRAVEL OR ARRIVE BEFORE 12 MID-DAY. The Reception closes at 12pm midday and if you have not received the code you will not be able to enter. We were saved by other residents after 3 hours. However it important to say that the management of Serristorri Palace handled the situation pretty well by reducing our final payment (which is always helpful). However, Booking.com were useless and even though I spoke to two of their agents who were sympathetic, they never returned with a solution or inquired how we managed later that day or the following days. So apart from this unpleasant beginning we had a fantastic holiday in Florence and will definitely return.

The apartment we were in was huge. There was a living area with kitchenette, bathroom, and large bedroom. It is so nice when you have room for your stuff. The location was great. We were across the river from the madness, but close enough to walk to everything. The neighborhood had cafes and restaurants so we were able to eat nearby in less crowded areas. It was unseasonably cold. We asked about turning on the heat but still never figured it out. The heat was probably turned off for the time of year. The staff left us an extra blanket and space heater so we were fine.
Housekeeping is not included. Which is fine but we didn't have enough toilet paper for 3 nights. We had to pay for an extra set of towels. The front desk is only staffed during the day and no one is there on Sunday. Another word of caution - we needed a taxi to get to the train station, which is a little distance. It was raining that morning and when there is rain taxis are difficult to come by.
