Gorgeous hotel. I would not take off a star for this, but it is NOT an asthma-friendly facility. There are fragrance diffusers everywhere. Totally unnecessary and yes, I had requested no fragranced cleaning chemicals when I booked. The first room we were shown was beautiful, but there was an awful fragrance/fragranced cleaning chemicals buried in the carpet. Staff were fantastic and found us another room while we had dinner - gave us the handicap room which had hardwood floors instead of carpet, thus eliminating the problem. The pub had the best fish and chips from my entire vacation in Ireland. Loved the care taken with the restoration of these buildings. Due to a slightly late arrival (traffic), did not get to use the spa/pool. Car park onsite is good, but best accessed with a small vehicle. Breakfast was lovely - porridge with a buffet of other items.
Fragrance diffusers everywhere.

Outstanding. We had stayed a few years ago but the addition of gym and spa makes it even better. Comfortable ( but not too posh ) Excellent food and drink . The staff really make it . In all areas smiling, friendly, chatty and make you feel really welcome . First impressions great and ( unusually ) we were escorted to our room by Jodie ( receptionist) who talked us through the facilities.. We would strongly recommend and will return.n
Nothing ! ( even the Ulster weather was sunny …)

I love everything about this place. I love the staff, especially those who work in the restaurant when having breakfast, which are fantastic it's always a pleasure coming here it is actually my favorite hotel in the whole of Northern ireland and for someome like me who's been to over a hundred over the across the UK for business and leisure it is one of my favorites that I have been to it at least 5 times in a space of a year of been in Ireland.
I can't honestly say I don't like anything there. I think it's well located, beautiful screanery so nothing negative just positive things to say about this lovely place....

The staff/customer service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The spa is small but very relaxing and clean. Bar was nice, live music was a plus. Cosy reception area with fire and comfy chairs.
The rooms need a bit of TLC. They are clean and have great amenities but a little rough around the edges. Water stains and holes in the walls etc. but then again it's an Old Inn. Food options for vegans (Dinner) is basic and very overpriced.

Spa area was fantastic - one of the best spas I have been in. Massage was great (my masseuse was Lynn). The food and drinks were all great. Great range on the menu and I loved the bar area after dinner with live music. The room was absolutely gorgeous and very comfortable.
The service was a bit slow at dinner although the staff were nice. Breakfast was a bit disappointing I found ... I ordered the scrambled eggs and thought there weren't many eggs.

Easily the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in. We both loved the traditional decor, especially the beams, booths and coal fire in the Bar. The staff were all lovely and knowledgeable when it came to allergies and advising on which options were safe or otherwise. The room was exceptionally presented and our only regret is not having tried the free-standing copper bath tub.
The room was very warm, we didn't realise the radiators are controlled by ourselves and ended up leaving them on full all night, it felt like. Ended up waking up with a sore throat and my nose running like a tap.

Friendly staff, good food and relaxing spa
Work was being carried out on the property and our room was in close proximity to this and at 9am the noise of drills and banging started. Might of been a good idea to of know this when booking or have the noise delayed until at least 10am Cobwebs in the canopy above the bed. When you’re lying on the bed looking up into the bottom of the canopy they are clear to be seen. Might be good practice to have the cleaners lay on the bed and scan the room!

Lovely place. Very old historical building with lots of character. We particularly liked the Spa which had excellent facilities. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Dinner was very enjoyable with a varied menu. A good quality breakfast with continental buffet and several a la carte hot options. Overall a really pleasant visit in a very comfortable and appealing inn in a lovely village in a beautiful part of Northern Ireland. We would definitely recommend and would be happy to return.
Bedroom was really small and quite cramped, although comfortable and well equipped. We were late booking and were not able to get a better room option due to lack of availability. Shower curtain was ridiculously close above the bath space making it impossible to shower without it clinging to you! Shower itself was however very good. Think we were in the part of the building still to be upgraded (noting the decor and carpeting on the corridor as compared to other landing areas) - so hopefully this will be improved in time as it was a bit tired. There was some occasional noisy plumbing coming from some of the adjacent rooms but thankfully this was short lived.

Over all it was amazing everything about this place was top tier the food, drinks etc was so amazing. On arrival we had complementary drinks in our mini bar as well as ice cubes as well. The old in was a quiet place with lots to do, including the spa and the walk ways leading down to Helen’s bay. It was very cleans and would highly recommend.
Although it is amazing the price for alcoholic drinks (bottled and draft) are on the more expensive side.
