Overall everything was good. Everything in the room is comfortable

The main building contains a restaurant and reception. The rooms are in the form of lodges; walking with a suitcase on the cobblestones is very inconvenient. They took us there in a golf cart, and at checkout we drove up in a car. In general, there are distances, and this creates inconvenience. . The food and service in the restaurant was mediocre.

It was our second time staying at this hotel and, once again, we absolutely loved it. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is impeccable, probably the best we have ever had. The whole surrounding of the old ceramic factory gives the hotel a unique ambiance and there are plenty activities to be done there. Will definitely come back!

I really have no complaints. One of the days we stayed the hotel was fully booked and we had to wait to be seated at breakfast, but even then the staff was very polite and kept apologising. This could have been an inconvinience if we were on a tight schedule, but since this was not the case, it just meant we had to wait a few minutes.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and well taken care of. We had a great experience overall — the pool was clean and relaxing, the massage was amazing, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious with lots of variety. The staff were gentle, kind, and always helpful, which made the stay even better. Truly a lovely place to unwind. Highly recommend!

There was an issue with the hot water, and we had to ask several times before it was resolved. Thankfully, the hotel did compensate us at the end of the stay, which we appreciated.

We had overall a very nice stay. We mostly enjoyed the quietness and the spa facilities. The Staff was very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was varied and of very good quality. The dinner at the hotel was the highlight - excellent. Rooms are spacious and very well equipped.

What we missed were the little things that should not miss in a 5-star hotel: no refreshment drink in the spa area, no fresh coffee for breakfast (only capsule and automatic coffee machine available), and both our bathrobes for the spa were a bit worn out and lightly damaged (this is avoidable and really ought to have been seen by the staff). None of these are deal breakers, yet we felt they were regrettable details for this hotel category.

Montebelo Vista Alegre Ílhavo is a perfect mix of comfort, culture, and charm. The rooms are stylish and peaceful, with lovely views and top-notch amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. Being right next to the Vista Alegre museum made the stay even more special. A truly memorable hotel experience—highly recommended!

There are some areas where needs maintenance.

Comfortable room, great breakfast, great indoor pool, clean hotel and helpful staff.

My whole family woke up at 10:30 PM (half an hour after we went to sleep) with the guest of the next room (106) watching TV and laughing. I went to the reception and they called the guy to lower the volume. It helped a bit. But the guy kept watching and laughing until 11:45, when we finally got to sleep. The rooms of a 5 stars hotel should have way better sound isolation. The indoor pool is great, but it is located in a pretty cold area in my opinion. Check-in is at 3 PM, way too late in my opinion. The check out is at 12 PM. A 5 stars hotel should be able to clean the rooms in two hours maximum.

I love the concept of a 5 star hotel integrated into the old Vista Alegre porcelain factory. And while still running, it was a very quiet location. Our bed was comfortable and our room had direct access to the outdoors, which was great for our elderly dog. The breakfast was varied, with options for my lactose free needs and the Bacalhao a Bras for dinner was amazing. Close to Aveiro and Costa Nova, both worth a visit.

The wifi was spotty in our room.

Second time in this beautiful hotel. Everything went very well, the breakfast was great with a large variety of food. The swimming pool is nice and everything was kids friendly.

They should not heat the swimming pool outside when it's about 30C. Also, the bridge near the hotel should be reviewed, it makes a lot of noise when the cars go on top of it and might be dangerous too (but no noise inside the bedroom). Other than that nothing to point out, thanks! :)

The facilities were really nice, and the room was quite big and comfortable. The outside pool was quite warm, and it has a smaller pool for kids, which was great.

Being August, and with the hotel quite full, the bar in the pool was very full and it took a long time to get the food that was ordered. For a person with dietary restrictions, they didn´t have a lot of alternatives. Especially in the the dinner buffet.

Wonderful big room with very comfy bed, incredible breakfast, close to beautiful beaches with boardwalks and sand dunes. A hotel I like so much I've stayed twice already. Very peaceful and easy.

The shower although modern, big and clean did not drain quickly enough so the water flowed into the bathroom.
