From the moment I arrived, the experience was outstanding. I was warmly welcomed by a friendly, courteous receptionist whose genuine smile set the perfect tone for my stay. The room was absolutely immaculate — the cleanliness was flawless and immediately noticeable. The shower was a particular highlight; it was so luxurious that I genuinely didn’t want to get out! I enjoyed a fantastic night’s sleep on both nights, thanks to the incredibly comfortable beds. Every aspect of the surroundings — from the spotless car park to the charming pub and the consistently excellent staff — exceeded my expectations. Breakfast each morning was flawless, with the morning team providing attentive, friendly service that made the start of each day even better. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone seeking a truly exceptional stay. Even over the busy Easter weekend, the room rates were more than fair, offering incredible value for the quality of service provided. I cannot wait to return!

There was nothing not to like, everything was jus perfect.

Breakfast was fantastic, as usual. Excellent choice and great food. The evening meals in the pub are also excellent. The surroundings are better now that the pub has received a bit of attention. The toilets in the restaurant and bar still need some sorting out, though.

The rooms need a little TLC. The floor of the room above was very creaky and we could hear the slightest movement which we found disturbing. We had to ask for an extra cup, glass, pillow and towel. We had to booked for 2 people and the room appeared to have been prepared for just one. However the lady at reception was great and sorted things out straightaway.

This was our second stay at the Bowman. The rooms are clean and tidy, beds comfortable. Room well stocked with tea coffee provisions. The staff are very attentive to customers needs and are friendly and willing to help make our stay comfortable.

Not on this trip but one previously. it was my boyfriends birthday and I wanted a bucket of ice for a bottle of champagne 🍾 The lady on reception Danielle I think that was her name walked to the bar with me asked the staff for a bucket carried up to the room for me. she didn't have to but wanted too to be helpful. That is good service x Also Tina on reception I have seen twice now always pleasant. I highly recommend staying there.

I liked the position of the property as it was easy to get into Nottingham either on the bus or by metro. I also found the staff’s attitude to customer care to be exemplary and applaud them without exception. Given that they appeared to range from young to middle aged , there was no difference in their performance . I thought price wise we had value for money & in particular the cooked breakfast which was lovely ………however we would have paid more for a bit of an upgrade especially food offering!

I think the property is ripe for a bit of a face lift. Our bedroom was clean and spacious but the bathroom ceiling was peeling & there was evidence of new plaster work in the bathroom but no attempt to paint over it. Additionally there was a strange stale odour so the Receptionist loaned us her air freshener . Having seen what competent staff are employed, I think the powers that be at GKI need to spend a bob or 2 to improve the product & give the staff something to sell they can be proud of. I also think the menu could be revamped. I appreciate the ‘sizzling’ theme but few healthy options wouldn’t go a miss. Not everybody wants ‘chips’.

The location was perfect for the purpose I needed it for value for money compared to others was good room was spacious and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful the pub which is located directly across from the hotel was reasonable value for what you got and the food was good I would stay again

Not really much to dislike in the room we stayed in just a couple of things like the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly and might need maintenance as other guests may see it as more of an issue possibly I would suggest mats outside the shower cubicle as when I opened the door after using the shower water went all over the floor and could be dangerous if people aren't careful

The location was ideal for our needs. We had a family room and it was very spacious. Very quiet and would recommend for a short stay.

The bathroom let the room down. The location of the sink was so close to the toilet and there was plenty of room for the toilet to be placed further away. Access to the shower was poor. The door opened in such a way as it restricted the gap to get in. The step into the cubicle was almost a foot high making it difficult to use. Also the shower was fixed to the wall at the point of access and would have been better on the opposite wall making access so much easier. There were mousetraps located under the bed. If these issues did not exist I would have given it a higher rating.

Staff are really friendly and helpful. Short dark hair lady at breakfast really welcoming. Long black hair lady on reception on Monday 4th march morning was very helpful and chatty. Download greene king app for discount. Bar busy so good atmosphere lot families. Rooms have all you need , soaps, towels, kettle, iron and cleaned daily to a good standard. Would return no prob.

Cold cooked breakfast both mornings. Looked good but sausages defo undercooked looked anemic. Lol. Rest was good just not hot enough. Cutlery needed wiped and huge chip in mug. Can't say didn't like..was just unexpected...rooms are outside round a courtyard and doors have large step up into. Very difficult if you are elderly or use a stick or can't lift foot high. Tho they have accessible rooms too but mind ask for one...make it clear. Take a brolly!! Lol.

I came to this hotel facility for a cultural trip with my son. The Bowman hotel is beautiful and welcoming, with kind and helpful staff, even accommodating our request for two single beds instead of a double (I had made a mistake in the booking). The room was really spacious and comfortable. We will probably choose The Bowman again for future trips.

For the money paid we did not expect a room of such high standard ! We have stayed in many more expensive places which were far less comfortable. The room was very spacious and tastefully yet simply decorated. Overlooked a lawn which was peaceful. The bedding was good quality clean crisp white cotton with comfortable pillows, the bed a little firm for us but all a matter of preference. Good size well lit bathroom with a bath and shower over it. Good size desk to work at but the Wifi didn't work at all in our room. Large TV was a great surprise! (Stayed in a Premier Inn recently with one the size of a laptop screwed to the wall 10 feet from the bed ! , Have a word Sir Len). The staff were very nice, we arrived at the dot of 10pm and had not seen a message requesting our more precise arrival time, this was not mentioned by the poor lady who had probably sat there for 2 hours waiting for us, for which we apologise The breakfast staff were delightful, friendly and attentive and the breakfast options were good. The lady at the checkout was lovely.

Not the fault of the hotel but our last night (Saturday) was disturbed by some kind of party taking place in the room directly upstairs , apparently a group of young people who had spent the evening in the adjacent pub had decided to continue their fun in the hotel room so little sleep was possible. The night security gentleman really did his best to quiet them on several occasions but sadly was ignored and out numbered. The lady at reception was very apologetic when we checked out. So if you stay here at a weekend maybe ask for a room with no near neighbours if at all possible. The Wifi was inaccessible in our room, needs to be addressed.

We didn’t partake of the breakfast facilities. At £110 for the night , would have thought breakfast would have been included at that price . Location was ideal for us as we’ve stayed previously when it was a Premier Inn . Didn’t want a City Centre Hotel .

No complaints with the accommodation but not overly impressed with some of the staff ( with the exception of Charlotte ) in the adjoining Restaurant. Walked in to book a table , however , they seemed somewhat disinterested . But I have to say the meal more than made up for it . Had the 8oz Rump Steak ; one of the best I’ve had in a long time .
