Had to drive 4-5hours to Port Macquarie for a morning meeting the following day. My teenage daughter travelled with me for company. Friendly helpful owner on arrival. Despite dated furnishings, it was a clean and comfortable room - daughter thought it was cute-old-fashioned-homely. Gardens well maintained and pretty. TV had poor quality sound issues but we did not bring this up with owners as we were content to use the laptop we'd brought. Comfortable nights sleep and great shower too. Less than 10 mins drive from CBD where I had meeting Would happily stay here again if passing through.

Major Innes motel must surely take the top prize for the best presented motel in Australia. The gardens were receiving loving care as we arrived - thoughtfully designed, manicured lawns, trim hedges all round, a variety of plants and flowers attractively presented. This care translated into Unit 4 where, despite the age of the building, the floors were shining and comfortable, the bed linen excellent quality, the bed comfortable. Tea, coffee etc was available in the room with the most useful and convenient addition of a separate guest kitchen, fully equipped. The bathroom was small and very dated but far cleaner than many other more modern ones in other motels. Hot water was plentiful. Great value, especially when compared with similar but badly presented motels we have stayed in. Parking was undercover beside the unit. The pool was maintained in sparkling condition, even in cold weather. Location was not far - about 3km - off the Pacific Highway. This will become my preferred overnight stop for future trips.

This motel is a standout winner for accommodations of this kind and age of the buildings. Apart from new bathrooms at some stage - an expensive renovation - I can't identify any further improvements

Comfortable room and beds with the basics - all the essentials. Liked having the cooking facilities of the communal kitchen, great idea for a motel. The daily room service was a nice surprise! (And 2 face washers for 2 people - what a novelty!) Carport was also great for protection - this wasn't listed on the website, but could be advertised because it is an asset.

Could have done with a hairdryer in the room. Also a bit tricky to fill the kettle when the tap isn't high enough, but we managed using clean mugs. A concern not to see any fire evacuation maps on the walls...?

The room was very basic, and quite dated (although sort of a bit 'quaint'). It was cheap for a stopover (and convenient for getting on/off the Pacific Highway), and well out of Port Macquarie itself, so very quiet. Had aircon, fridge, kettle and TV but despite best efforts, I could not find a hairdryer!

Very clean and convenient. You can tell that the current owners are doing everything to lift this place quality. Although the age is showing, its a beautiful spot sorrounded by the sound of native birds in the morning. Stayed for study trip and appreciate the quiet of the evenings. Room was well equiped and super clean.

Comfortable bed, very quiet rooms. Parking right next to the accommodation. Very clean and well presented. Checking in was easy, we just notified the staff member that we wouldn’t be there til late so she left the key somewhere for us. I also loved the refillable soap/shampoo/shower gel, very eco friendly and I love it.

This happens at most places we stay: I would love to see recycling bins in the room/somewhere in the main common garden areas. It’s 2023, there really should be recycling bins in use at all motels/hotels and somewhere very obvious, for people to use. :)

This was a beautiful find I loved how clean the place was, and it also was very homey. I highly recommend you stay here if you’re visiting Port Macquarie or if you’re just using this place as a pitstop on your way up the coast the staff were very accommodating and were able to provide for my late check-in requirements

Other than the slight language barrier with the staff, they were able to accommodate my late check in. It wasn’t a big deal to me at the end of the day.

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Hot shower. Clean towels and face washer. Beautifully maintained gardens with several shaded outside sitting areas. Nice pool. Just off the hwy so convenient for an overnight stay.

Traffic noise from nearby busy roads. Complex is very old although well maintained. Surrounded on three sides by bush but difficult to walk to any restaurants etc because it is situated on a major road.

This Motel while a little difficult to find was all that weary travellers need when travelling through to further destinations. The Room was well presented and the Motel provided additional cooking facilities with a fully equipped kitchen. The Room also had a toaster, Kettle and microwave but no tea or coffee but most travellers these days have their own supplies. We will definitely return there on our return journey. Parking close to Unit.

Nothing for what we paid for accommodation it was excellent and very close to the freeway but no noise at the Motel. The Owners/ Managers delightful

For the really affordable price it was great. Really clean and comfortable. Undercover parking was fantastic and a first at any Motel. All the normal facilities were provided ie coffee, milk etc. Bathroom was a bit on old side but the value for money was awesome. The manager was lovely and the grounds very interesting.

For the money there was very little to complain about. Maybe the bathroom sliding door didn’t roll easily but hey, one can’t expect a very cost effective room to be perfect.
