A wonderful stay for three nights. The old house is located in a quiet side street in the center of Arles making it a perfect place to stay to explore the city. The house / bed and breakfast is run by a very friendly and nice couple taking care of the place and guests in a very personal manner. They provide a wonderful hand-prepared breakfast and provide lots of valuable tips for activities in and around Arles. The room is very individual (due to the structure of the old house), nicely decorated, very clean and taken care of, well equipped with modern private bathroom, AC, small TV and a small fridge. Thanks for a wonderful three days in Arles.

Not a "dislike" but a thing good to know: The house cannot accessed directly by car - public parking space is available a couple of hundreds meters walking away. Also the house does not feature an elevator so luggage will need to be lifted up a staircase (but the landlord is more than happy to help...)

Wonderful location in Arles, and the house is (can't help the word) charming! The owners have done up a historically protected building with great sensitivity and retained its character. Interventions are minimal and done with great skill and taste. Emmanuelle and Georges Brodl are personable and responsive and gave us knowledgeable tipps concerning the exhibition scene in Arles. They also accommodated us with a good breakfast on the first morning, although we had not booked it in advance.

This may not be an issue for much younger and fitter types, but for us the stairs were a little difficult to negotiate. Nothing to be put off by, just to be aware of.

The hosts were phenomenal, they made us feel at home, gave us all the information and interesting facts about the region and Arles in specific. They really made our trip! The room was big, very nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning and bathroom worked perfectly. The location could not be better, it was an easy walking distance from anything that interested us. From the Jasmine vines at the door to the freshly prepared eggs for breakfast, it was a fantastic experience!

Nothing!

Our hosts, Emmanuelle and Georges, were lovely with a likeable sense of humour. Very welcoming and provided excellent information on what to do in Arles. Their B&B is in a beautiful house close to the centre of Arles and some excellent restaurants that Emmanuelle had recommended. We very much liked Le Gibolin. Our room was large and stuffed with pieces of art and sculpture. We had arranged our stay so we could experience the famous Saturday market in Arles which did not disappoint. We also had the best breakfast during all of our 2 week holiday in France. There was tea/coffee, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, croissants, baguettes and butter with home-made jam and eggs made to order. We would definitely stay there again.

Nothing.

Wonderful hosts! They provided so much information, including maps and restaurant recommendations of Arles. Wonderful location… Not too far/walkable from a free parking area. The lot was crowded, but we were able to find parking whenever we needed it. Excellent breakfast, including fried eggs, which they made for us individually. Beautiful room with lots of historical significance. Nice to have a hot water boiling pot in the room.

Loved everything! Great way to start our trip!

I loved staying in a traditional building surrounded by quality art and sculptures. It was rustic with beautiful old doors and ceilings. Enjoyed breakfast chatting to Emmanuelle and Georges who went out of their way to help us get the most out of our stay. They were interesting, friendly and informative. Do not rule out a visit to Arles out of season..It was great to wander around the Roman remains and Van Gogh trail without the crowds. We would go back.

Being out of season public transport was less frequent, but this in the end did not matter, as if you love art and history, there was enough to do in Arles for a few days. It was fairly quiet at night which surprised me at Xmas time. The advantage of this though was that it felt more authentic and French.

Emillion & George were exceptional hosts. They introduced us to the city & had many recommendations on what to see & do - as well as where to eat. We had a great time in Arles & would not have toured the Camargue (and seen the flamingo's) without their help. Wonderful hosts. An extremely convenient place to walk Arles and to get to our vehicle across the bridge

Exceptional welcome by our hosts, who gave us a wonderful introduction about Arles and its vicinity, what to do and where to eat/dine. They even made sure our itinerary after check-out was smooth and hassle free. A peaceful road that this tasteful, cozy and well-equipped apartment is on, very easy to walk to any attractions and the train station.

This was by far the most wonderful place we stayed during a two week trip. The hosts were kind, generous with their time and information, and pointed us to interesting spots in the city which we may have overlooked. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious, the accommodations comfortable and spacious. A memorable stay in a lovely home, with fantastic hosts.

There was nothing we did not like about our stay.
