We stayed in the eponymous Fleur du Soleil suite. A beautifully decorated large space with sumptuous bed; the pool right outside our door as was our breakfast dining table.

The property is situated a 15 - 20 minute walk from the centre of the village. The homeward trek is a tad uphill. In the hours after dark the street lighting renders the journey just that little bit longer.

We had a fantastic three night stay at Fleur du Soleil! From the warm welcome and fizz on arrival, to the beautiful floral decorations in our room to celebrate our honeymoon, to the huge breakfasts, we were so pleased to have selected Fleur du Soleil as our base in Franschhoek. Our room was huge and spotlessly clean- there was lots of space and the guesthouse is located in a quiet neighbourhood only five minutes' walk from the main street. The outdoor pool and seating area are lovely. Stanley and his team did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and providing recommendations, both in advance of our stay via email and WhatsApp, and when we arrived. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful guesthouse.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fleur de Soleil Guesthouse. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality of the staff was outstanding — they truly went the extra mile to attend to all the small details. They were incredibly prompt and helpful in arranging a taxi transfer to a nearby wine farm, organizing relaxing massages for us in the comfort of our beautiful room, and welcoming us warmly with a glass of champagne. The room we stayed in was lovely and spacious, with a very comfortable bed, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bathroom was large and luxurious, complete with a wonderful bath and a spacious shower. Breakfasts were a real highlight — fresh croissants and fruit to start, followed by a full, hearty breakfast with eggs, boerewors, and a choice of delicious vegetables. The location of the guesthouse is perfect, just a short and pleasant walk into town, making it very convenient for exploring.

We loved how walkable this hotel is to the main streets, the food and the restaurants, the staff were also so wonderful, Stanley helped us with everything we needed. We did a Safari from here and ate the most delicious food downtown. Though the room was smaller than we thought, it was clean, and it was well stocked and had everything we needed. It was quiet and we rested very well.

The room was smaller than we anticipated, and we preferred to eat breakfast downtown on the days we had time, the one in house is OK but could use a few more hot options that are vegetarian, it has lots of continental options.

Great reception, professional establishment. You can see a lot of detail has gone into the way they onboard guests. We booked a massage and it was all arranged smoothly like clockwork. We needed to make a last minute restaurant reservation change and even though it was after-hours, the owner went above and beyond to make it happen through her contacts. Also very good breakfast. High quality food and beautiful presentation. Overall very friendly staff with great professionalism. Oh and the bathroom in our room was beautiful - the large walk-in shower with dual shower heads were not expected but well received.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. I honestly don't have anything negative to say. The only small hiccup was with the fireplace — I booked the night specifically to enjoy it for our anniversary, but there wasn’t any extra firestarter provided, other than what was already placed inside the fireplace. Despite lighting everything that was set up inside, I couldn’t get the fire going. When I tried adjusting the vent throttle, it was unfortunately a little too late. Other than that, everything about our stay great.

From the moment we arrived all of the staff were wonderful especially Stanley who helped us book taxis and also gave us some helpful tips for the things we had planned. Anton was also very helpful and communicative leading up to our stay and helped to arrange our airport transfer. We stayed in the Vignobles Suite which was spacious and beautifully decorated with fresh flowers changed throughout our stay. It's just off the main reception area so it was a little noisy in the mornings with the breakfast set up but otherwise there was minimal noise with guests coming in and out. The location is excellent, on a quiet street just five minutes walk from the main road with lots of restaurants and bars and about 10-15 minutes walk from the wine tram terminal. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with plenty of choice and wonderful service. Would absolutely recommend this as a great place to stay to explore Franschhoek and nearby.

Outstanding location, just a short walk to numerous Franschhoek restaurants and shops. Beautiful grounds and exquisite rooms. Superb, attentive staff who made our two weeks stay absolutely wonderful. Stan, the on-premises manager, was extraordinarily helpful with dining recommendations and tour reservations. The jasmine around the pool was in full bloom and the smell was enchanting. Don't miss the opportunity to stay at this boutique 5 star, luxury guesthouse!

A cosy guest house just a short walk 5 mins from the town. Stanley and the team can cater for any needs from tours to booking restaurants for you and can offer good tips and advice. You can also easily taxi or get the wine team from here to different places. The room itself was high quality with some personal touches in the room. Our room had a fire place which was really good for the evening, and there is a well stocked mini bar. Water, tea coffee etc is free and other snacks or alcohol can be settled at the end. There is a very reasonable laundry service a huge bag for 300 rand rather than paying per item which can be expensive if you are doing a large wash. There is an outdoor pool and the room has a TV with sports channels too. The breakfast has lots of options and is really well presented, fresh fruit platter is great and also the cooked options are good too you can have both. The staff take great care of you here if you have any issues or questions you can just message Stanley and they will reply. Recommended

Truly exceptional experience. Victoria and the team could not be anymore accommodating and communicative. The guesthouse has been furnished to the highest standards. Arriving to a glass of bubbly sets the tone for your stay. The complimentary breakfast was yummy and set us up for a day of wine tasting in the many surrounding vineyards. Franschhoek is a really lovely town with many great eateries. Don’t hesitate to book this guesthouse - it’s great! Thank you Victoria and team for having us stay.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, Stanley and his team could not have been nicer, more welcoming or helpful and attentive. Especially usual to us was having recommendations for meals and visits based on our wishes, and transport being arranged (at very competitive rates). Breakfast by the pool with freshly baked croissant, home-made jams and marmalade, fresh fruit, and freshly cooked eggs and bacon, and more - what treat!
