I recommend this accommodation. I am very satisfied. Warm welcome from Mrs. Giovanna, who gave us advice and tourist information. It's very easy to contact Ms. Giovanna via WhatsApp to arrange check-in.Very quiet neighborhood. Clean room cleaned every day. Enough towels. Large, comfortable bed. Air conditioning. Accommodation located in the center of La Spezia and very close to the train station for visiting the Cinque Terre. Near the accommodation, you can take bus 11 to Porto Venere. You can also walk to the port of La Spezia. The only thing that might bother you is if someone opens their door early in the morning, which could wake you up. There is private parking for $24 per day (actually, the price should be reduced for hotel guests). Don't forget that in Italy you have to pay €2.50 per person per night as a tourist tax. It's not a good idea to come to La Spezia by car, as you can take the train and bus from the city center.

The location is great, just few minutes from the main station and a Carrefour supermarket. My room was clean and cosy, towels were changed every day. That's more, the staff even changed used tea cups and refilled coffee capsules for the coffee machine, which is in the hall :-) Also there were no problems with hot water in the bathroom, thought the waterflow was somehow uneven. The owner Giovanna allowed me to check-in earlier then I had expected and was friendly and nice.

The only thing is that the owner didn't receive my SMS with the arrival time (I suppose, it might have been blocked as spam because l'm a non-EU citizen) and didn't see my messages on Booking.com, thought I had sent even two. Later I noticed that Giovanna had tried to contact me on WhatsApp, but I rarely use this messenger. So I'd advice that future guests checked WhatsApp before arrival.

Safe area & max 6 mins walking distance from La Spezia Centrale train station. The excellent welcome on arrival from Giovanna. Service during our stay was great. Our room was serviced everyday with made up beds, fresh clean towels, coffee pods, tea, Fette Donate golden risks, Nutella & jam.

Nothing we didn't like. Loved everything about Monteverdi.

Accommodation in a shared appartment on a ground floor in a building located super close to the train station so perfect for discovering Cinque Terre without car and also very close to the city centre! Bathroom clean, double bed was very comfortable, heating available, friendly staff.

A bit dark as the window goes into a yard of the building, breakfast super basic and self prepared, but therefore kettle in the room available.

Excellent location (3 min to the city center and 5 min to the train station to visit Cinque Terre by walk). The paid parking house is 30m from appartments, the fee is 20€/car/night.

Poor wi-fi in some rooms. Rooms on the ground floor in an urban area - a bit dark and without sun. If the window is open - noise and mosquitoes.

It’s nice, clean, comfortable and really close to everything: a few minutes walk from the central train station going to Cinque Terre, and a nice easy walk to the city center and harbour. Giovanna, the host, was so easy to communicate and was there all the way to greet us and to give very useful information.

The location was excellent, only a 5 minute walk to the station for travel to Cinque Terre. Clean and comfortable room with everything you could need. The host was extremely friendly and gave us great recommendations on what to do while staying. Can't recommend enough.

The location of this property was so close to the train station. Very accommodating and super helpful host.

The bed was rather hard, however this is a personal preference.

Very nice place. Perfect for visiting the Cinque Terre. Giovanna responded almost instantly when we needed her. Tip for next guests: Don't forget to send a message with 30 min before your arrival. This way, the host can be there exactly when you arrive. Otherwise, you have to wait (like us).
