A friendly atmosphere, great family room, clean and tidy. Very accessible garden space where the kids could run around. All the staff we encountered from reception to waiters/waitresses and cleaning staff were very pleasant and friendly.
Two small things: 1.I thought the drinks at the hotel bar were quite pricey. 2.My husband has Coeliac Disease which the waitress and waiter happily guided us through the GF options but there was no hot breakfast option offered if you were veggie+GF, so it was just toast and cereal available on the first morning. On the second morning we asked instead of the offered GF sausages could we substitute them for eggs which was done without bother, however, it would of been nice to have been offered the option instead of having to ask.

Property is excellently placed right in the heart of Pitlochry. Staff on the whole were pleasant, my single room, was clean, comfortable and well appointed for my one night work trip.
I booked this hotel on a deal where on booking.com it stated I had £40 food/drink credit, however the bar manager refused to allow me to use it toward any drink, which was very disappointing as I don't eat large meals, and felt I had to order more than I needed to use my allowance. The food I did have in the bar was really nice if not pricey. £13.95 for a prawn cocktail starter!!Wow

Great location in Pitlochry. Our ground floor twin room looked over the gardens was lovely. Front rooms may have been a bit noisier due to the main road. Had B&B rate. Breakfast had a wide variety of things and hot dishes were kept well topped up.
Our room was perhaps a little dated but perfectly clean & comfortable. If you have a car there is a £5 charge per day to use the Hotel Carpark. Whilst we were always lucky it was a first come first served basis. Next place to park was further away round a corner so maybe not to some peoples liking. I guess it’s to try and keep the spaces free from other tourists. Some of the other Hotels don’t charge you though.

Breakfast was plentyful and nice, and the hotel has a lift, which is handy if you have plenty of bags or older and less nimble on your legs with the flights of stairs. One free complementary drink for each of the guests staying. They have a car park with approx 4 electric charging points. Central location in Pitlochry, which is ideal for the shops and other places to eat ... At the back of the hotel is easy access to catching the train 🚆 ideal for going onto other places in Scotland.
The hotel is old and could really do with a lot of work revamping TLC (which they are trying to do, but its slow pace). Obviously, when money is available. Price is expensive as some of the other places in the area are cheaper with full breakfast. Had to pay £5 per night for parking car in the hotel parking area...this is for me a bit cheeky as if they didn't change me enough for the night stay...which comes on a first come first served as space is limited....if you do go in your car for the day there is a very good chance you wont be able re park in the car park as it gets very busy so you lose your place (there is other places to park around Pitlochry so don't panic)...

Huge room with fantastic beds, very comfy night. Cute baby cot provided. Good breakfast buffet included in room and welcome drink (Whiskey or gin liquor) offered which was a nice touch. Cookies and Nespresso in the room was also great. Quiet room with panoramic vies over the garden.
It was a hot day and the room got stuffy - but we understand that it is not easy to install A/C in historic buildings. We opened the windows for ventilation which did not work well and the windows seem dangerous for little children as they sitting quite low. A bathtub instead of the shower cabin would have been nice.

Really everything after booking in. The room we got initially was not as we had expected when booking. I had requested a ground floor room with easy accessible shower .The room given to us was on the 1st floor (151). I called back to reception and after informing them it was not what we had expected -it featured a bath with shower over which was unsuitable for my wife . The receptionist responded in a most pleasant and helpful manner and checked availability of a more suitable room. We were offered room 4 on the ground floor .Perfect.
The only natural ventilation to Room 4 is by way of an opening door. That was OK during the day but not at night

The hotel is very central & is directly in front of the train station , only 2 minutes walk. The buffet style breakfast was very good. There was a good choice of everything. The sausages in particular were very tasty 😋. Our room overlooked the garden (lots of beautiful Roses) but was basic. Being able to hire umbrellas was a God send & a fantastic idea (£2 per umbrella for 48hrs). The staff were all pleasant , in particular the House cleaning department (they work so hard).
Its a old building & as much as our room was a "quiet" room we were kept awake with the people above us , walking about , on the creaky , squeaky floors (late at night & really early in the morning). There was a roller blind at the window but no curtains. That meant daylight entered the room from early morning. We didn't sleep well during our stay.

Breakfast was excellent buffet service and the hotel is located centrally for bus and train with a rear car park for drivers.offered welcome drink on arrival and was able to stow my luggage until room check in time. The room itself was spotless and roomy for a single. Also availed myself of the 10 percent discount offered for treatments at sister hotel nearby.
Only snag was couple in room next door coming in late and talking until after midnight so couldn’t get off to sleep on second night though first night was perfect so not really the hotel's fault. It was meant to be a quiet room so maybe make this clear to people on arrival so they can be mindful of others around them.

The staff were fantastic so friendly and helpful especially the young Indian receptionist who came and showed us to our room. I have mobility issues and the staff Including the restaurant staff went out their way to help me to a suitable table. The location of the hotel is 1st class you leave the hotel straight onto the main street. The parking for disabled badge holders was right outside the main entrance of the hotel which was superb for anyone with mobility problems. The weather was fantastic which made it an amazing couple of days.
Can't think of anything I didn't like apart from wishing I could have stayed longer

We were given King size rooms unexpectedly which was a nice touch. The rooms were very clean and spacious with a nice bathroom including lovely toiletries. I had previously given feedback that some water in the room would be appreciated and I was pleased to see that this has now been included alongside a nice selection of items to make hot drinks. A welcome drink on check in continues to be a nice touch. Breakfast was ample with a good selection to suit all tastes.
We enjoyed dinner in the Castle restaurant but decided against dessert as the prices were prohibitive.
