Property is excellently placed right in the heart of Pitlochry. Staff on the whole were pleasant, my single room, was clean, comfortable and well appointed for my one night work trip.

I booked this hotel on a deal where on booking.com it stated I had £40 food/drink credit, however the bar manager refused to allow me to use it toward any drink, which was very disappointing as I don't eat large meals, and felt I had to order more than I needed to use my allowance. The food I did have in the bar was really nice if not pricey. £13.95 for a prawn cocktail starter!!Wow

Really everything after booking in. The room we got initially was not as we had expected when booking. I had requested a ground floor room with easy accessible shower .The room given to us was on the 1st floor (151). I called back to reception and after informing them it was not what we had expected -it featured a bath with shower over which was unsuitable for my wife . The receptionist responded in a most pleasant and helpful manner and checked availability of a more suitable room. We were offered room 4 on the ground floor .Perfect.

The only natural ventilation to Room 4 is by way of an opening door. That was OK during the day but not at night

The hotel is very central & is directly in front of the train station , only 2 minutes walk. The buffet style breakfast was very good. There was a good choice of everything. The sausages in particular were very tasty 😋. Our room overlooked the garden (lots of beautiful Roses) but was basic. Being able to hire umbrellas was a God send & a fantastic idea (£2 per umbrella for 48hrs). The staff were all pleasant , in particular the House cleaning department (they work so hard).

Its a old building & as much as our room was a "quiet" room we were kept awake with the people above us , walking about , on the creaky , squeaky floors (late at night & really early in the morning). There was a roller blind at the window but no curtains. That meant daylight entered the room from early morning. We didn't sleep well during our stay.

Breakfast was excellent buffet service and the hotel is located centrally for bus and train with a rear car park for drivers.offered welcome drink on arrival and was able to stow my luggage until room check in time. The room itself was spotless and roomy for a single. Also availed myself of the 10 percent discount offered for treatments at sister hotel nearby.

Only snag was couple in room next door coming in late and talking until after midnight so couldn’t get off to sleep on second night though first night was perfect so not really the hotel's fault. It was meant to be a quiet room so maybe make this clear to people on arrival so they can be mindful of others around them.

We were given King size rooms unexpectedly which was a nice touch. The rooms were very clean and spacious with a nice bathroom including lovely toiletries. I had previously given feedback that some water in the room would be appreciated and I was pleased to see that this has now been included alongside a nice selection of items to make hot drinks. A welcome drink on check in continues to be a nice touch. Breakfast was ample with a good selection to suit all tastes.

We enjoyed dinner in the Castle restaurant but decided against dessert as the prices were prohibitive.

The staff were fantastic so friendly and helpful especially the young Indian receptionist who came and showed us to our room. I have mobility issues and the staff Including the restaurant staff went out their way to help me to a suitable table. The location of the hotel is 1st class you leave the hotel straight onto the main street. The parking for disabled badge holders was right outside the main entrance of the hotel which was superb for anyone with mobility problems. The weather was fantastic which made it an amazing couple of days.

Can't think of anything I didn't like apart from wishing I could have stayed longer

The hotel was in a great location. The room was ok for a one night stay. Had everything needed. Bed was comfortable. Restaurant staff were lovely and friendly and the food was great both on the evening and breakfast.

The parking was chaotic and there is not enough parking for a hotel of this size. The floor outside of our room (225) made horrendous noises every time someone walked along the corridor (which was frequent) so it was difficult to rest and sleep, this was mentioned to the receptionist on the morning and I feel that she was aware of the issue, Pillows could do with replacing in the room as they were uncomfortable to sleep on.e

I really wanted to stay in a castle like hotel during my Scottland trip. I have read very diverse reviews, but except some minor things I really enjoyed this hotel. Small, but clean single room, including a spacious and very comfy bed, and beutiful view over the peacfull and green inner yard from my window. I had the best breakfast here during my Scottland trip, also beautiful breakfast room with mediavel decoration, paintings. I travelled during shoulder season (April) so I easily get an onsite parking place without any extra charges.

As this is an old building the wooden floors creak and basicly no noise isolation, but my room was at the end of the corridor, so very few passers by, and lucky with my room neighboors. Room was extremly hot (like a sauna) on my arrival, but managed to turn off all heating, however I could not figure out how to lower the temperaute of the shower water, which was burning hot.

Lovely room and great location

Extra charge for parking in their own carpark- seems unnecessary and irritated me on arrival

The Fishers Hotel is in the best location in Pitlochry and the staff are always pleasant and polite. We have stayed there several times and in various different rooms. My only complaint on this occasion was that the family room we were given was very small for a family room. Otherwise, great hotel with lovely clean rooms and a great choice at the buffet breakfast. Room service was excellent and the restaurant staff very attentive

The family room could have been bigger - our room was definitely rather small for a family room.
