We stayed at the Legendale Hotel Beijing for 4 nights and had such a lovely experience. The property itself is beautiful and grand, but what truly made our stay special was the people. The staff were incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely welcoming. They absolutely adored my son, many would joyfully carry him and ask to take pictures with him, which was heartwarming to witness. During our entire stay, the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. I want to give a special shoutout to Jason, who was incredibly helpful in planning our visit to the Great Wall of China. He gave great suggestions on where to go, how to get there, and even arranged a driver for us. That kind of thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly elevated our experience. Another little joy? The Häagen-Dazs ice cream stall in the lobby! I couldn’t resist it 😭 I had it every night during our stay, and it became my personal treat to end the day. A small but lovely touch that added to our comfort.

While we genuinely enjoyed our stay, a few areas could be improved. The room service food was tasty, but the menu could definitely benefit from an upgrade with more variety and renewed options. There were moments where I felt limited in my choices, having a wider selection would’ve made the experience even more enjoyable. That said, I want to sincerely thank the hotel for offering halal options. As Muslims, that meant a lot to us, and we truly appreciated the consideration.

LOCATION: Central – walking distance to 1) metro stations; 2) Wang Fu Jing shopping center or the oriental Plaza; 3) Peking Union Medical College hospital ACCESS: Metro “deng shi kou” station; taxi; with a parking deck under STAFF: Very friendly and professional, extra help arrange quick deliveries WIFI access: Free, reasonable speed DECO: Featured “to create a truly opulent and new-classical ambiance”, elegant [not overdo] VIEW: Rm 1305 had a view of the residential area behind and city scape beyond from the ceiling-to-floor window, with beautiful morning sun shines into the room DESK: sufficient working area SAFE: large enough for a regular size laptop BED: comfortable firmness & quality bedding BATHROOM: Spacious. Separate shower and toilet sections. Quality towels. Very clean ROBES and SLIPPERS: conveniently available BREAKFAST: Reasonable selection of varieties of Chinese and non-Chinese items.

1) Facilities & equipment worn down after 16 years of use & improvements can be made: drainage issues with the sink & shower place (did not drain well) & floor (water coming out floor drainage). 2) The room deco looks glamorous (or glitzy to some) but some hidden craftsmanship details are poor, such as bathroom cabinet doors (paint peeled off, doors did not close properly), sink ‘marble’ chipped. 3) Phones did not work (no dialing tone but can receive internal phone calls). 4) Power station on the desk worn out 5) A TV use instruction would be very helpful [currently only a list of channels provided]

From the moment I arrived, your concierge went above and beyond to ensure my stay in Beijing was both seamless and memorable. He consistently demonstrated a willingness to "go the extra mile" in assisting with all my requests, no matter how big or small. I was particularly impressed by his arrangements to multiple request such Great Wall, landmark information, transportation, Opera and restaurant reservations. He always provided clear and helpful information, and his recommendations were spot on. Furthermore, his punctuality with arrangements was truly remarkable. I like the grandeur and the extravagance of the hotel. It smelled good and was dustfree. Everything a guest would need was made readily available. There were English speaking Russian ladies to address the non Chinese guests. They were really very friendly and went the extra mile to address the issue we had with Alipay. It was resolved on the same day. There was hassle free communication. The housekeeping team did a great job in keeping the room pristinely clean. They replenished our amenities timely and generously. The location was awesome, too, as we had no issue reaching all the attractions. The 2 Russian staff were very helpful in attending to our alipay issue we had. Both my wife and I had our alipay accounts linked to 1 travel card. Due to this, they were some hiccups, and we were not able to use the accounts. Both the ladies did their part in getting things rectified ASAP for us so that we were able to use our accounts and go about enjoying our trip. They kept checking with us on the follow ups from alipay too. Kudos to these 2 ladies.

We were very pleased with our stay at your hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food is delicious and nutritious, and the service is fast. HOTEL: Huge luxury hotel located in the center. Walking distance to the Wangfujing Street 2 starbucks and lots of shops , restaurants around. 2-3min walk from the metro. ROOM : Spacious room with all the required amenities. Bottle of water, tea , coffee, iron facilities, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, body lotion, shower gel, shampoo, hair conditionner, nice city view, TV. The lighting could have been better but that did not affect our stay. BED AND PILLOW : Bed and pillow were okay. BREAKFAST : Variety of Chinese and European style breakfast.Yummy food. They even had a small section for Halal food. JACCUZI : Relaxing and heated Jaccuzi.

STAFF : We were so excited for our stay since weeks however once we arrived at the hotel, we were disappointed at the reception. Not sure if she was the supervisor but she had black uniform, chinese, short hair and If we are not wrong , her name was Tina or something starting "TIN". Unfriendly, unapprocable, no customer service. If you work in a luxury 5* hotel, the least is to have a smile on your face. Luckily, there were Mr Andy and a beautiful Russian lady with blue uniform, short hair we guessed " Ms Rustova ". Both were helpful , friendly and tried to assist. THANK YOU ✨️ SWIMMING POOL : Large heated swimming pool which was very tempting however there were Chinese people in the pool who were spitting several time in the water which left us disgusted.

Location is close to walk around the city and metro; nice facilities as swimming pool and saunas.

Even though we booked a room for two adults and one kid (7 years old) there was no sofa or separate place to sleep for her. The reason from hotel was as I book king-size bed.

The hotel is close to many attractions, the lobby was great. What I liked the most is that they started serving halal food in all their restaurants which made our stay

AS YOU DRIVE DOWN THE STREET TO THE HOTEL YOU ARE CONFRONTED WITH A MAGNIFICENT BUILDING WHICH STANDS OUT FROM ALL THE OTHER BUILDINGS. AS YOU WALK THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR YOU SEE BEAUTIFUL FURNITURE AND ANTIQUES TWO SWEEPING STAIRCASES UP TO THE FIRST FLOOR AND THE WHOLE BUILDING IS OPEN UP TO THE SKYLIGHT 17 FLOORS ABOVE. ALL THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL ESPECIALLY THE ITALIAN AMBASSADOR. OUR ROOM WAS BEAUTIFUL VERY NICE FURNITURE THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE ROOM WAS QUIET.THE ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE TOILET DOES NOT HAVE A SOFT CLOSE SEAT AND THE WARDROBE IS A LITTLE SMALL. WE STAYED 7 NIGHTS AND WERE VERY BUSY EVERY DAY , DID NOT HAVE TIME TO FULLY EXPLORE THE BUILDING UNTIL THE LAST DAY WHEN WE FOUND THE SWIMMING POOL WHICH IS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER SEEN, WILL DEFINITELY USE ON OUR NEXT STAY. VERY HARD TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THIS HOTEL. LOCATION IS PERFECT FOR WONG FU JING AND ONLY A SHORT WALK TO THE METRO LINE WHICH WILL TAKE YOU TO ANYWHERE IN BEIJING IN UNDER AN HOUR. THE BEST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN ANYWHERE.

WHAT WE DID NOT LIKE WAS HAVING TO LEAVE.

We had a great stay at the hotel, and I would especially recommend it for families traveling with children. The location is excellent—very convenient for sightseeing with kids. We could visit attractions in the morning, return to the hotel for a break at midday, and then head out again in the cooler afternoon. It was also very easy to catch a taxi or use ride-hailing services right at the hotel entrance. There are many great restaurants within walking distance, offering a variety of delicious food options. While the hotel is not newly built, the exterior is beautiful and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. One of the highlights was the room setup—it had multiple power outlets that supported both Chinese and European two-pin plugs, along with USB ports and a very handy extension socket. This made charging all our devices very easy. I would also like to give special thanks to Jenny Zhang, the floor manager on the 14th floor. She was exceptionally kind and thoughtful, anticipating our needs even before we asked. Noticing that we were traveling with two kids during the hot summer, she made sure we had plenty of bottled water and extra clean towels. She often checked in to see if we needed anything else, which made our stay feel very warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel for families and anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located stay with attentive service!
