An excellent location on the shores of Lake Caragh this excellent Country House accomodation reeks of the grandeur of a bygone era. Polished and knowledgable staff ensure that the guests feel pampered and highly valued. No question was too trivial or inconvenient. Breakfast each morning was first class and the one dinner we had in house was excellent too. The mature gardens are really amazing and provide endless strolling opportunities. A wonderful harpist in the lounge on Saturday night was a lovely touch.

The location of the property is quite isolated and while that represents a great deal of its charm it did present us with a driving challenge along dark and narrow Irish lanes late at night as we had arrived at Cork airport at 9 pm and it took two plus hours to reach the hotel. Staff at the hotel were very kind to us on arrival and prepared a lovely late supper to welcome us.

Garden and residence are exceptionally well appointed and maintained. Service is outstanding, professional, and genuine.

A beautiful house with wonderful gardens, fabulous food , a sense of history as well as modern facilities and helpful warm friendly staff. The harp playing in the lounge in the evening was an extra special memory as was sitting in the beautiful garden watching the sunset over the bay

It was all fabulous

The location is amazing. The views are magnificent and the grounds a pleasure to walk through. Drinks outside, the opportunity to watch an informal cealidh were a big plus.

We were under the eaves and my husband kept banging his head getting out of bed.

Ard na Sidhe is a very special place, secluded and quiet with a high level of comfort and quality. The gardens are amazing, the food is exceptional and the staff are lovely.

No TV, no bath.

The setting was absolutely beautiful. The view of the lake and surroundings, and the walk through the gardens exceeded my expectations. The hotel is a perfect mix of old house beauty and modern comfort and conveniences. The bed is super comfortable, and the room is great. All of the staff were highly professional and welcoming at the same time. I highly recommend this hotel. Because of the location, it is probably advisable to have a car.

Everything was perfect.

So luxurious and elegant. It seemed fit for a queen. Gorgeous woodwork and antiques with leaded glass castle windows. Truly lovely

Hard to find but what a gem

Everything! It was so peaceful. Food was out of this world snd the staff very professional and welcoming. Not forgetting the grounds reaching down to the lake where we saw deer! It was hard to leave this place. You must go.

No negatives

ANS is clearly a 4-star in several ways: Truly outstanding service in the restaurant, and a superior breakfast and dinner experience in beautiful surroundings, lovely music, very attentive staff that waited on us. And absolutely gorgeous grounds & gardens--very special! ( With that said, ANS stumbles over their 4-Star in a few ways.)

I communicated to the hotel

Beautiful gardens (a stroll through the garden is a must), sparkling clean room with lovely views of the lake, meals were delicious and well-prepared, friendly hotel manager. We definitely plan to come back!

With the notable exception of the manager, the staff was new and learning on the job. Staff seemed eager to learn and had a good attitude — just need more experience
