We loved the spectacular view of the 5 towns from the room with balcony (!); the beautifully kept property outside, plants, trees, flowers; romantic sitting areas (covered), lounge-chairs to soak in the sun while watching the beaches from above..; a ping-pong-table; the hourly shuttle-service to and from the village (could be more frequent, but one adjusts to that schedule easily); excellent breakfast; the helpful staff; the lasagna and pasta-meals available at the bar late at night; lounge-room/library with nice antiques and a desk to write postcards..; availability of beach-towels. Our room and bathroom were newly and renovated, simple, yet functional, with an ‘italian’ feel and done with quality-materials.

Our room should have : 1) A wall-hooks for coats and some rack. 2) A shelf/surface for toiletries in the bathroom - I had to keep my toiletries in the bidet… not an ideal situation!

They were really nice and always made sure our accommodation was great. The cocktails were reasonably priced and tasted good. We couldn't get a late check-out, but we were able to store our luggage, which was helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the shower pressure was amazing. We had a nice sea view, even if it was from the side. I liked that it was quiet, which allowed us to truly relax. One night, we had a salami pizza, and it was so good. I really do recommend staying here.

The shuttle option is great; the only downside is that it runs every hour, which can be very inconvenient since it's not easy to walk to the hotel. The view was nice even though I didn’t get a full view of the sea I still was able to see some, the room itself was pleasant. The AC wasn’t what I expected. It was 90-degree weather, and the lowest the AC would go was 21°C. I think being able to lower it to 17–18°C would have made a big difference. Another issue was that if the room key wasn’t physically in the slot, the AC would turn off. So after being out all day, you'd come back to a hot room.

The view from the room was incredible. The shuttle was always on time, but the demand often exceeded the capacity. The walk downhill was manageable, but returning to the hotel after dinner was challenging. There should be a reservation system instead of having guests scramble to get one of the seats. Notwithstanding, the friendly staff and delicious breakfast more than makeup for the shuttle challenges.

There is no booking system for the shuttle. Although we would be the first out waiting for the van, people showing up at the last minute would push them to a coveted seat. Twice, we had to walk down and back up the hill just because, as Canadians, we did not feel it appropriate to push people for a seat, although we had been at the meeting point before everyone else. It is a few minutes' drive. An option would be to run it every 30 minutes or charge a minimal fee.

Breathtaking view, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, and clean rooms. Highly recommended!

It’s wonderful that the hotel provides a small shuttle to take guests up and down. However, it would be very helpful if the shuttle timetable were shared with guests in advance - perhaps via email. When we arrived, we didn’t know how to get to the hotel and tried walking up with our luggage, which was quite difficult. Fortunately, the shuttle happened to be passing by, and the driver kindly picked us up.

Clean modern and well appointed hotel. Located away from town up in the mountains. Quiet with cool mountain breezes were wonderful. Staff were very helpful offering assistance and hospitality.

Location on the mountain requires use of a shuttle to get to town and restaurants. We liked the separation from crowded town but shuttle was busy with other hotels so waiting 1 hour during peak travel was not ideal.

View from property and room is great! Breakfast was very good with excellent service staff. Beds are comfortable. We had a balcony which was very nice to sit and relax. Check-in and out was fast and friendly.

The views from the property are great, however this property is not in town or reasonably walkable for many due to the steep hill. The shuttle comes/goes every hour from town and the property. The van can fill quickly, but the driver always made a return trip to pick those up who didn’t make the first load. If you are looking for something that is quickly accessible to places to eat or train, choose something in town. If you don’t mind the slight inconvenience of waiting for a shuttle van in order to enjoy the peacefulness and beautiful views this is your place.

The location was excellent. From our balcony we could see the entire Cinque Terra. While it was approx 1 km above the town, the shuttle bus travelled up and down every hour, until 12.30 at night. There was a beautiful garden in the hotel to wait for the bus and chat with other guests. The staff were exceptional, going above beyond, whenever we had an issue. They took great pride in the work. I loved this hotel and would return there in a heartbeat.

The location is excellent. A view from the hotel and our room balcony over the total coastline of Cinque Terre. The hotel has arranged for a perfect shuttle connection to the village so you can leave your car at the hotel. Walking down from the hotel to town is 20 minutes. A good train connection between all 5 villages on the coast is available. Tickets can be bought at the station or online. Breakfast is good with ample choice. Also s small menu for lunch or dinner is available.

We spent 4 days at this venue and loved the location set high above Monterosa with a magnificent view of the mountains and the sea. The shuttle to and from the hotel every hour was unexpected and excellent, and it was lovely after a long day of exploring to get out of the towns and have some peace and quiet while admiring the view, The rooms were very well appointed. The breakfast was both English and Continental and we were spoilt for choice.

We stayed 4 night and had to ask for clean towels on our 4th day. As the weather was cool and there were no heated towel rails it would have been nice to have the bath towels changed more regularly.

Beautiful views (& the fact you could see the hotel from whichever village you visited in the Cinque Terre!). Immaculate rooms. Very good breakfasts. Very helpful & friendly staff.

Although it wasn’t far from the town centre it wasn’t really walkable as the road was so narrow, steep & winding - the hotel provides an excellent regular & reliable shuttle service on the hour but it does mean you have to factor in timings for every outing & that was occasionally inconvenient. However, the position of the hotel is so spectacular that it is a small price to pay!
