Ideal location, restaurant was beautiful and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Air con in the room was a must have for the booking, and we did use this. The style is beautiful and you can tell a lot of money has been spent here. Full size fridge in our room was a bonus. The automatic blinds are very snazzy too!

Bed isn’t that comfortable and the pillows really need replacing too and they are of no support at all. Cleaning could do with looking at too, although we appreciate it is hard to keep on top of everything. Also there was space in our room for 2 decent chairs, although only one was provided along with a tiny chair too which wasn’t any use. We don’t like to sit on the bed whilst watching the TV so I’d suggest another chair in there.

Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. It was consistently excellent each morning with a good variety of fresh fruit, breads, pastries and cereals. The hot breakfast was exceptional! Always hot, freshly made and delicious with a great range of choices. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room we were assigned initially did not have working air-conditioning so we were moved quickly to another equally acceptable room. No issue. All the staff were available to help with questions or luggage at all times. Also, great to be able to ask for small things like glasses of milk and to be given them without a problem or charge. The hotel was quiet even though it's located on a busy road. Good insulation and perhaps triple-glazed windows! All in all this was a fantastic stay.

Nothing at all. Everything was great!

Good sized room, nice range of complimentary beverages and biscuits in the room, and decent sized fridge if you needed one. The restaurant was good and serving staff were very courteous.

The back staircase which we used to access the room smelled of cigarette smoke all the time. It was adjacent to a wall mounted ashtray outside the property, so smoke drifted in through the back door. Also, the bathroom wasn’t as clean as we would have expected - the drainage points in the shower and wash hand basin were discoloured and the mirror looked like it had been wiped with a towel. Towels were provided in the bathroom but they were quite worn.

Booked our mini break to the Cotswolds staying at this lovely Hotel & Restaurant. Just outside of Stow-on-the-Wold it’s ideally placed to visit all this beautiful area has to offer. The hotel was easy to find with plenty of free parking. Our room was lovely and very clean, with modern decor in calming colours and a large en-suite wet room. A huge comfortable bed, a wardrobe with plenty of hangers. Kettle, mugs & tea/coffee plus delicious homemade biscuits from chef Jack. There was also a private terrace with table & chairs outside. The grounds were pleasant and well kept with additional seating. There is a bar and on site restaurant, be sure to book as they get busy. We had a lovely meal here one evening. The breakfast is outstanding, choice of hot breakfast items on the menu cooked to order. There was also a selection of fruit, cereals, breads and pastries. They even had my favourite overnight oats in kilner jars! Finally all the staff were lovely and very friendly, a close & happy team.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The only feedback we would give would be to suggest a large bolster cushion on the bed the make it more comfortable to sit up and watch telly or read. The pillows whilst comfortable to sleep on weren’t up to the ‘sit test’

The location is ideal, just a mile or so from Stow, we were greeted by a lovely guy and taken to our room straight away, very nice room with a huge bed and great facilities and the most powerful shower I've ever had, first class . We had a meal on the terrace on our first night which was delicious and we were looked after by a great guy who was from South Africa, these member of staff should be looked after as a great asset to the business .l

We had no complaints, only one issue we had was on the first morning I ordered a full english breakfast but they forgot the bacon, I never mentioned this as wasn't a big deal, the second morning there was bacon.. the food was delicious

Great location less than 5 minutes from the centre of Stow-on-the-Wold and 10 minutes from Bourton-on-the-Water. Right next to the Fosse Way/A429 so easy to find. Plenty of parking. Friendly and helpful staff, clean room (although with a few marks on the carpet and walls), clean bathroom and air conditioning which was very welcome in the recent heatwave. Good cooked breakfast and continental options. We didn’t get a chance to eat in the restaurant in the evening this time but have done in the past. Would stay again when in the Cotswolds.

Room was a bit on the smaller side. The Reading light was broken. The shower drain was blocked and water drained away slowly. Housekeeping were able to unblock the drain so we didn’t flood the bathroom.

There is a great hiking trail not far from the hotel. The hotel is very quiet outside. It would be nice to sit outside and look at the fields in the distance on a clear day. There is a delicious restaurant with a great breakfast. Dinner is also very good.

We booked two rooms for two adults and two children. I booked it very early. I thought that as a high-star hotel, it should be unnecessary to inform in advance that our two rooms were arranged next to each other. As a result, they were separated by several rooms. The dinner fee was also calculated incorrectly and deducted in advance before I checked out. If I hadn't taken a closer look at the receipt details, I might have overpaid 23. Of course, the problem was solved smoothly in the end. It is worth mentioning that the room is not very soundproof.

During my stay at Number Four at Stow Hotel, I was particularly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially Jonathan. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests, making our experience truly memorable. The room was impressively spacious, offering ample space to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. It was immaculately clean, reflecting the hotel’s high standards of hygiene and comfort. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The quality of the food was outstanding, providing a perfect start to our days. The hotel’s location is another significant advantage. Situated in the very center of the Cotswolds, it served as an ideal base for visiting the surrounding picturesque villages. Whether you want to explore Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, or any of the other charming Cotswold destinations, everything is within easy reach. Overall, Number Four at Stow Hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and exceptional service, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore the Cotswolds.

We just stayed at Number Four at Stowe and absolutely loved the experience from the very beginning. I wish we would have booked 1 more night. I was traveling with my husband and 2 kids, and there was plenty of room in the family room for everyone. We loved the tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies that the staff stocked the room with, and the bathroom was stocked with high end shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. At the end of our second day here we enjoyed sitting behind the hotel in the table and chairs, relaxing while the kids ran in the field and watched the sheep next door. We had an absolutely wonderful time here and would love to come back.
