Absolutely stunning building and grounds, the apartment was immaculate. We had a member of staff that stayed over her time on shift to welcome us. The communication is above and beyond from the start of booking the apartment right through, I got emails, texts and a personal phone call when we were on our journey for the visit. I have been meaning to book Sutton Hall for years and finally did this weekend and could kick myself I didn’t do it sooner. We booked a night and I wished I’d booked the week. It’s so beautiful and the staff are incredible, can’t wait to book up again at Sutton Hall Thank you to all staff Seymour Girls Xxx

Beautiful building the apartment we stayed in was on the ground floor overlooking the beautiful garden. The pool was lovely

Didn’t like having to share a hot tub with loads of people. Had to book it out and then people would come and say it was their turn and we had to get out. Sauna was ok, it would be better if the apartments had their own hot tubs on the ground floor overlooking the gardens. I would pay extra to have our own hot tub. ( you could charge extra for a private hot tub if you wanted with the option to use the shared hot tub if you didn’t want to pay extra)Kitchen was very small.

We stayed at the cottage which was equipped with a kitchen so we made our own food, but the location was perfect for Thirsk races. We arrived after the reception had shut for the day, but received instructions on how to access our key very easily and there was a lovely man that greeted us on arrival that stayed there frequently and he showed us round the pool/sauna area and how to book a slot for the pool/jacuzzi. The grounds surrounding the building were beautiful and peaceful. Outdoor Jacuzzi and indoor pool perfect. Only stayed one night and wished we’d stayed longer. Booked for next year but for two nights for Thirsk races again.

I can’t honestly find any faults other than I wish we stayed longer.

The Cottages were immaculate, spacious and comfortable. They have everything you need, a lot of thought and care has gone into how they're set up. The spa facilities were lovely, and I liked how you get to book a slot for your party only. The grounds are amazing, I do recommend a good walk around them. We walked about a mile, so beautiful including manicured gardens with seating areas, an orchard and woods all with a little river running through it ☺️ The location is also great, just a 5 minute drive into the lovely market town of Thirsk!

The staff member on my initial enquiry was quite rude and abrupt. But at check in the lady on the desk was very nice. Also, we went to the front door on arrival, it wasn't apparent that you had to go to the office around the side of the building so maybe this could be made more noticeable for people going to the front door? As we weren't the only ones!

Online booking was easy and we enjoyed the private hot tub/sauna/pool. Grounds were so beautiful. The check in instructions were super easy to follow.

There were too many spiders in the cabin! There’s no way they were just vacuumed the day we got there. There was a huge one in the shower, on the bathroom window, and in the corner of the bedroom. There were dead ones under the vanity. The video link for check in didn’t work—a map would be better. And for check out instructions, the red box is hard to find. Just say it’s „outside the main house, next to the door that says Reception/Deliveries“. Thanks!!

Property grounds were fantastic, made use of the pool, even tho we booked the hot tub more than Once we was unable to get into it, due to us being out and about instead of at the property, staff were friendly, we was pretty much the only people here on our first day, nice little room at the front with a Pool table 😃

The only gripes would be that the bed was two single beds pushed together and the wifi not being excellent, tbh with you tho these things didn’t really bother us at all

Great location halfway between London and Edinburgh very pretty property and huge apartments. Plenty of space two bathrooms two bedrooms plus the sofa bed in the York apartment and even a little kitchen, which we did not use but looked to be well stocked plenty of towels, swimming pool looked lovely, but didn’t have time to use it

Beds could’ve been a little less firm some challenges with figuring out how to turn on lamps Sofa bed could’ve had a little more padding, but not terrible

Just loved the whole experience. Wished we were able to spend more time there. Got there around 7pm after a day of sightseeing and traveling. We didn't meet any staff, so at that point it was self checkin, which went fairly smoothly. Enjoyed evening swimming at the pool. And lovely walk around the gardens the next morning. Extended our time there to enjoy the facility. Much more than expected. Family wants to come back to spend more quality time.

Well thought out and a decent location for a break. Swimming pool and other facilities able to be booked for your own group for half an hour time slots. This was great as we had a five week old baby and it was his first time in the pool so we obviously had to make preparations for this.

Booked a cottage, some of it was a little dated (bathrooms mostly) but I suppose this was reflected in the price in comparison to the space available.

Lots of information given which made check in when office was closed very easy. Private use of pool was great for our 4 and 7 year old. Pool table in lounge and even a resident cat which the kids also loved. Didn't get to walk the gardens but free tennis and golf was a nice touch. DVD library also good for the kids and the place was very spacious and very clean and comfortable.

Water pressure was poor in most areas but it is an old house so to be expected Kitchen needs an appliance overhaul. Oven and hob need an upgrade and extractor hood button was broken. Minor issues basically.
