Halls Gap Valley Lodges are located a very short drive from the town centre in a picturesque setting in front of beautiful mountains with plenty of space, abundant wildlife and peace and quiet! There are only six cabins on site (and one secluded hideaway cabin on its own) so relaxation is easily obtained. Staff are super friendly and helpful which only adds to the enjoyment of your stay. Check in was a breeze and there was no problem adding two extra people to our booking; our grandson was super excited to be offered DVD’s for viewing whilst there too. The cabins are very spacious and superbly fitted out with quality furniture and fittings that not only look good but are extremely comfortable. Everything you could possibly need was on site; the best equipped kitchen we have had the pleasure of using (including a full sized refrigerator); a roomy bathroom which included a spa bath and a washing machine and lots of storage space and a seperate toilet. The linen was fresh, towels were fluffy and we were pleasantly surprised that face washers were supplied with every towel! Outdoors, every unit had their own fire pit which was great for toasting marshmallows; a shared BBQ and a playground for the children. It was lovely to sit outside of an evening and look up at the night sky or just watch the wildlife pass by - emus, red deer and kangaroos - one kangaroo even stopped to say “Hello” and allowed our grandson to pat him! We will definitely be back and have, in fact, already booked our next visit.

Fantastic location for us! We were in Halls Gap to volunteer at a trail running event so needed to be close to all the places we needed to be. Our lodge was unexpectedly spacious and loved the electric blanket on the bed :) Although we didn't use it this time, it was great to know there is a fully functional kitchen with proper oven and stove for next time. Will recommend to others as a fab place to stay - not fancy pants, but still cosy and welcoming with everything a person could need.

Not a biggie, but coffee for the plunger or something nicer than international roast coffee sachets. I'm a bit of a coffee snob for my morning coffee!

Everything! The whole place was so cosy and perfectly set up for people coming for a visit. Short or long stays suit this place. The individual fire pits for each chalet is a beautiful touch! We were lucky enough to be greeted by some deer leaving early one morning right outside our windows too!

The accommodation was comfortable, and very spacious. View of the Grampians out the front window was pretty special! Very much enjoyed an evening wander up the back of the property into the bushland, and watching the roos and the emus grazing. Very impressed with the insulation of the cabin, it was below freezing outside and it felt cosy enough inside that we didn't even turn the heater on. Water for the shower was nice and hot and the electric blankets kept us warm overnight. Kitchen facilities were good. For a quick overnight work trip it far surpassed the brief and would have been nice to stay a little longer! Daryl, Tim and Ian (owner managers) were friendly and welcoming.

The property was lovely, surroundings veyr scenic and secluded. Cabin was delightful, spacious, comfortable, really clean to the point of noticing just how clean everything was! Thank you. The staff were lovely and welcoming, having kangaroos eating at your front door was an experience we never had before. Plenty of room for the kids to move about and enjoy the outdoors. Loved it.

Lots of roo poo around the outside areas - not really much you can do about it, but just being mindful of shoes indoors! For a short stay we forgot to pack condiments and cooking oil etc. So a little stash of supplies in the cabin or at the reception would have been really handy, but the general store was close by, so no problem.

We were welcomed on arrival by one of the friendly, helpful owners Tim, who showed us around and explained the ins & outs of our venue. Each family had their own clean, spacious, well-appointed, 'child friendly', cabin. The kids were so excited to see the kangaroos, the rabbits and, on an early morning walk, they were greeted by a deer. The birdlife, especially the friendly kookaburras, was also appreciated by all, especially the adults. The kids enjoyed kicking the footy around the spacious well-kept grounds, as well as going on adventures in the bush nearby whilst the adults joined in, watched the action or prepared the meals. All the time the kids were in view whilst they played their various games, due to the layout of the property.

The length of time we stayed but that was our fault!!

The luxury villa was fantastic and had everything we wanted. Attention to details was wonderful. We loved the secluded location and the abundance of wild life. The view from the backyard, the tables and chairs and the hammock was a lovely addition! The bbq grill worked well and we thoroughly enjoyed making food. Firewood was available in the forest nearby and the fire pit was fun to toast marshmallows. The jacuzzi worked really well and everything in the villa was wonderful. Undoubtedly, the best and well maintained place we have stayed at the Grampians.

The bbq grill wasn’t clean but rather very greasy. Would have been nice to have grill spray/wipes. Suggest having a couple of tissue boxes for the living room. Would have been nice to have more towels available.

The overall size & the kitchen is nice. The master ensuite is definitely a key feature. The view!

The lighting in the master ensuite is not great for applying makeup as half the lights didn’t work. The amount of light switches throughout the house were a bit confusing & some didn’t work. The TV in master bedroom is too low & a hazard for hitting your head. Banana lounges are broken with a screw or lock nut missing, we fixed 1 of them. The fly wire screens on front & back doors need repair. We thought washing powder, cooking oil & tea towels would have been included. The no air freshener in the toilets wasn’t great as you can’t close the smell off.
