Loved waking to a sunrise and lake at our back door with kangaroos hopping by in the distance. We arrived at night so this was a beautiful surprise. Room was clean and warm and bed comfortable. Spa bath was great also. Relaxing morning walk around the lake. Although the property was just off the highway it was very serene and relaxing. Staff gave great advice about where to have breakfast in town and it was good to have dinner in the restaurant when we arrived tired after a big day driving.

Very friendly reception and although an old motel it is comfortable and it looks like there's going to be continued improvement to amenities. Great to see the garden being reinvigorated. Restaurant has nice homely food and a very friendly staff. Great to see the water birds playing in and by the lake.

The chairs on the deck are too old now and this is a great spot to sit in the morning and afternoon so attention to this would be great.

This property exceeded my expectations. The room was so spacious and comfortable. I travelled with 3 young kids and we all slept comfortable. Extra bonus the tv worked well with YouTube and Netflix. Had such a beautiful lake view. The actual property was absolutely beautiful and nice to walk around. Robert was lovely and suggested things to do and visit.

Couldn’t bbq at the property, however Robert told us about this gorgeous park which was only 5 minutes away. Cayo park

The family room was pleasant, clean and spacious enough for my family of 5. The indoor pool, playground and tennis court was great for the kids. Love the view and walking along the peaceful lake just outside our motel room. Kids got excited when they saw a kangaroo and some horses outside our room. The staffs were friendly and helpful.

The tennis court could be refurbished a little.

The room needed upgrading with new carpets. Tiles in bathroom were all loose and made cracking noises when walking on and the bed needs to be replaced. In advertisement of room showed new bed, the bed was older then me I think 😅.

We booked here last minute after our campsite plans didn’t work out, and it was amazing! Even better than the photos looked, everything was super clean, the receptionist we spoke to was lovely. The pools were also very nice (we didn’t have time to explore any of the other facilities as we only stayed for one night). 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay!

The only recommendation I have is to make the spa in the pool a little warmer!

Host was very accomodating to some extra requests I made which was greatly appreciated. Very quiet peaceful location and clean room. Have stayed in a number of motels in Stawell and this will be my go-to from now on.

The accomodation is dated but completely as expected as per photos etc. still very clean and comfortable.

Room was spacious and as promised. The room had a mini-fridge with 3 bottles of water. We had a $174 deposit taken towards the "mini-bar" that was refunded (reversal on card) a day after we checked out. The wifi is good and fast enough to stream video over a laptop. Didn't use the TV - which isn't a smart TV. So if you are into Netflix etc. you better have your own device. The location is good. Not too close to Stawell - and not too far either. There are good eating holes in Stawell that are within 10 minutes by car. Also Halls Gap too isn't all that far. So would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay.

We weren't sure if the water was chargable under the umbrella "mini-bar". So we didn't consume the water that had been provided - we didn't want to be bearing the (exorbitant?) costs associated with stuff from a mini-bar. Perhaps a note in the room of what is complimentary would help - it is awkward to ask at the reception by going back from the room. There's clear warning of what expenses you can be charged if you end up damaging for e.g. the electric kettle etc. So I am sure a bit more clarity of the complementary stuff (if bottled water *is* complementary) too is necessary.

extremely disappointed in the food. Motel knew they had 30 odd people booked for dinner that night and one single waitress working was run off her feet. my fiancé was served with an out of date bottle of cider. “scotch fillet” was about as thin as a piece of paper and “medium rare” was cooked until grey and dry. his vegetables were raw and crunchy. my Mediterranean chicken was dry as a chip it was absolutely disgusting. we were so disappointed in our food and service that night. unfortunately we will not be returning. hopefully they hire more floor staff especially when they know they have a very busy night ahead of them.

Got an email prior to arriving with incorrect booking details. Rang the motel and woman was quite rude and said she would have the manager call back but he never did. Could have offered an apology when we arrived but nothing said. Gardens are in very poor condition. Don't think I have ever stayed at a motel that did not have any type of complimentary shampoo and conditioner. Only a small issue but very poor not to provide
