Proximity to beach, restaurants, harbor. Very quiet rooms. Tea, coffee, cookies and oatmeal available 24/7. Staff friendly and accommodating. Abilty to rent bicycles or beach chairs.

The design of room was a little strange in that if someone is in bed while someone is using bathroom sink, the light shines directly in eyes of person in bed.

Just off of the beach front. We had had a terrible night at the previous hotel and had left early. Christie at reception bent over backwards to get us an extra night at a reduced cost. All the staff were polite and friendly. A fantastic pool area which never seemed to get that busy- maybe we were slightly out of season. A few minutes walk from the seafront, restaurants and bars. They supplied continuous free tea and coffee, porridge, apples and cookies. Fresh laundry and gowns. We really enjoyed our stay here- thankyou.

Two things that could have been improved: the air conditioning system was super noisy and although grateful for it, woke me up whenever it came on. As English people we love milk in our coffee and tea and really struggled with coffee mate:(

The Mason Beach Inn was great for us! The hotel is very cute, on a quiet street, and in a generally great location near the beach. The staff was helpful. The rooms weren’t huge but they were cute and clean and the beds were comfortable. No street or other noise at night.

The rooms didn’t come with a fridge (except one stocked with mini bar items) which wasn’t ideal especially since we filled out a pre-check in survey requesting that. But during the course of the stay we requested a fridge and microwave, and the hotel did bring some up so that helped. Also the hotel tub water was a bit murky.

We like the decor and the layout of the room, it's convenient to have the sink outside of the shower and toilet so two people can get ready at the same time. The room was nicely decorated and spacious. The welcome beer was a nice touch as well as the coffee and tea selection at the reception. The staff is friendly. The location is nice and quiet but in walking distance to the town.

There's no sound proof at all, some one would sit outside near by and we can hear all the conversation from inside the room and people go out and chat very early in the morning. We don't wear shoes inside but it seems the property doesn't clean the floor. It's not very nice to walk around and have black feet on the bed. And I think you need a few more hangers in the closet.

Our suite with one bedroom was modern, spacious, clean with a very comfortable kingsize bed... great. Only drawback was the sofabed, which unfortunately was not comfortable at all. The pool area was very nice. Location is great with only a short walk to the beach / restaurants. Hotel staff was very friendly. We appreciated the complimentary coffee in the lobby, and especially the freshly baked cookies! We enjoyed our stay very much and can definitely recommend this hotel.

The sofabed was not comfortable. Whenever the jacuzzi was switched on at the pool area, there was a loud, very disturbing noise.

Great location, walking distance to the beach (actually several beaches) and harbor. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance, and many more easily accessible by car. Felt very safe walking around. The hotel was relatively quiet, just a little noise in the afternoon with housekeeping in the hallways doing their work—nothing out of the ordinary. The staff was also super friendly and helped answer any requests or questions I had. The beds were super comfy too!

Wish there were fridges included in each room without having to pay extra, but that's a minor inconvenience since I just planned accordingly. There is a parking fee too, but it's minimal, so isn't that bad.

We got the 2nd floor room, which we appreciated. The property overall was quiet, with other respectful, quiet guests. Wish we had more time to use the hotel's bikes. We were a block away from the ocean. It was such a chill room that we all returned at 7:00 and didn't leave. We even slept early. We heard one baby cry in the hallway for about two seconds. J was super accommodating. We appreciated her help in having us do an early check-in (an additional fee, but it was worth it).

I've knocked off one star from the rating because of the tight parking spaces, but that wouldn't have been so bad if one of our neighbors was able to keep their car park between their lines. :(

We loved the location. The West Beach neighborhood was quiet and quaint. We enjoyed being able to walk down to the beach or into town. We also rented their cruiser bikes for a day and rode up to Butterfly Beach. Our room was on the second floor and had a really high vaulted ceiling, which made it feel huge. The decor was tasteful and the bed was comfy. The pool is big enough for a short swim, and we enjoyed lounging in the sun as well. The lobby was very welcoming with drinks and snacks always available, and the staff was friendly, polite and helpful. We will stay here again.

Although the room was ample in size, the configuration made it hard to navigate… No comfortable chair to sit at with a desk. The bathroom was really nice. The bed was very comfortable and that was a great television with a fabulous remote.

The rate we paid was far more than the one that was advertised on your website when I was staying there. I’m not quite sure why. Although I did not have a wheelchair, an ADA room should be close to the main facility not way out at the end and far away from the handicap parking spot. You advertised free breakfast, but it wasn’t really a breakfast, it was more of a continental breakfast.

We loved our stay here! The location was great, close to the beach as well as State Street, the main shopping street of Santa Barbara. The staff is super friendly and welcoming and the lobby had the most amazing freshly baked cookies available for free every day, with coffee or tea. I loved the building, surrounded by palmtrees and spacious parking. Nice pool and hot tub to relax . The beds were enormous and rooms clean and comfortable. We loved it here and would definitely come back!

The only real downside is that they do not serve breakfast - we had to figure out breakfast somewhere every day and this gets expensive and the cafes around are often busy, with waiting lines outside. The interiors of the room are very basic and they don't have a nice view (you either look onto other buildings or the parking lot). But the overall positive experience outweighs these cons for us.
