Yelton Manor was such a wonderful place to stay in South Haven. I really liked how peaceful and relaxing it felt from the moment I arrived. The rooms were comfortable, spotless, and full of charm. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and gave the stay such a personal touch. I also loved the location, just a short walk to the beach and downtown South Haven. The staff was welcoming and made sure every detail was taken care of. Everything about Yelton Manor made the experience special and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in South Haven.

While I really enjoyed my stay at Yelton Manor, there were a couple of small things that could have been better. Parking was a little tight and not the easiest to figure out when I first arrived. The rooms, while charming, felt a bit smaller than I expected. Breakfast was good, but I would have liked a little more variety. None of these things ruined my stay, but they stood out to me and could make the experience even better.

The breakfast was very good. Cooked to order and served hot. Also, the warm brownies in the evening were yummy. The location of The Yelton Manor is amazing. We parked our car Friday afternoon and didn't need it for the whole weekend. We were able to walk to the park for the festival, to town for shopping and dining and to the beach for the beautiful sunsets.

Vickie was amazing even though she was the only staff person there for everything. I don't think there was anything that we didn't like about our experience.

Location, ease of check-in, room, food, adults only, walkable to beach, shops, and restaurants, very clean and well kept, quiet, decor, comfortable bed, seating areas around and in property, electric fireplace as well as smart TV in room, private bathroom. Property well lit. Parking on site.

AC temp was too cold. Window coverings not adequate for blocking outdoor lighting, making it too bright in room overnight, making it difficult to sleep. Bathroom in our room did not have adequate space to set out and use toiletries.

What a BEAUTIFUL bed and breakfast! I cannot say enough great things about this place!! Centrally located, amenities beyond expectations, food was amazing, the entire grounds were beautifully decorated and maintained... I could go on and on! Staff was friendly, accommodating, and available. Cannot wait to go back again!

Not have a small refrigerator to store drinks in my room or left overs when eating out.

Breakfast was amazing. Great options and we were very happy with the quality. The location cannot be better. Enjoyed walking around town and the lakeside day and night. It's perfect for that.

Decor is dated, hasn't been updated in quite a while. Cozy rooms, but not very soundproof, so easy to hear others in other rooms. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind.

Excellent choices for breakfast and my husband especially liked the fruit and warm brownies! I appreciated cold water bottles and great location to both the beach and downtown for shopping! It was all lovely and will definitely stay here again

IT’s location to town and beach. Walkable to everything. Various sitting areas and such a wide variety of games and books for relaxing.

What a find the Yelton Manor was. We were attending a family wedding in the area and wanted to stay on the lake, in South Haven. We paid a little more than we usually would prefer, just to be comfortable and really enjoy our time in Michigan. The Yelton exceeded my expectations in every way. The place is beautiful, old, and in great shape with such personality! It's from the 1800s and there are tons of little cozy nooks and crannies to sit in, read books in, and warm yourself in front of a fireplace...there are books, antiques, and artwork everywhere. I only wished we were able to stay a week to spend more time at the inn itself, relaxing and taking advantage of all they had to offer. The breakfasts each morning were wonderful - the coffee divine! So many little extras everywhere...chocolates, blueberry cake, brownies, cold water, ice, fruit...your wish is their command. Dan, the caretaker when we checked in, was a wealth of information. He recommended Taste as a local restaurant our first night and it was perfect. Our room was clean and comfy - we were in the Avery Suite. I emailed the inn as soon as I booked to give them information on my small service dog and they were so accepting and wonderful about having her, as pets are not allowed. Even though we have a family home nearby, we will come back and stay at this treasured inn in the future, for sure!

Location, quiet, superb brekkie, clean room .  Fresh bakery on offer every day throughout the day plus coffee, and tea. Really felt cared for. Gluten free was no problem

Needs more lighting in the Forget me not room. Remodel kitchen nook, so it’s not such a tight squeeze when there are many guests.
