The location is great. A quiet, leafy road - yet close to the shops, bars and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast good, some of the staff really helpful.
We found it a bit strange that on the first morning when we went down for breakfast 15 mins before breakfast was due to end, there was little cooked breakfast available. There was one sausage and two rashers of bacon left for us to share. When we asked (politely) if there were any more available we were told “no”, as breakfast would be ending shortly. We made sure we got downstairs earlier the following two mornings!

I have stayed at Haleys Hotel before so knew what to expect (a very good hotel/service). Previously I had stayed in the main building but this time I was given a room in the Bedford House annexe. As with rooms in the main building, the room was clean, comfortable and of a good size. Breakfast in the morning was very good. The staff at Haleys are all very friendly. WIll definitely stay here again.
There wasn't anything I didn't like, although I would prefer a larger breakfast period (7am to 9am), If it could be stretched to 10am that would be better (for me anyway as I like a lie-in!)

From entering through the doors I felt comfortable and welcomed. It’s so clean and the staff exceptionally and naturally friendly. I wish I had all the names of the people we dealt with as they were all lovely. The night porter had to deal with a difficult drunk client but he did it with such calmness and professionalism. A true credit to the hotel owners to have such a wonderful team. We travelled to watch Rugby at Headingly. This is prime location and less than a 200 meter walk into the centre of Headingly with the stadium a further 6 minute walk. Perfect location for rugby, cricket or visiting in Headingly.
There was nothing I disliked. The stay was great value for money and the breakfast amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff

Lovely clean hotel in a safe, leafy lane location with the car park all around the hotel, so very safe for a solo travelling lady. The room was nice enough and the bed comfy enough. The curtains were nice and thick and a good job too as the flood lights shone right into the room all night. Lots of tea and coffee and milk, decent sized mugs and breakfast smelled delicious, although I didn't have any as I left before they started serving at 7am.
The over bath shower dripped whenever another guest ran water. Happily this stopped at night time so wasn't a problem. The wifi was awful and Netflix on my laptop kept freezing, so I had to hot spot it through my phone, but that worked fine so wasn't a problem. The hotels neighbours were awful, shouting and banging car doors, whistling and playing loud music until 2am or so, which really let the hotel's location down as it's usually almost silent thereabouts and you cannot hear the city, which is why I chose it. Next time I'll request a rear facing room. Such a shame for this once exclusive location.

Location was perfect for our needs. Quiet road within a short walk of restaurants bars etc. Staff were absolutely lovely, Paul in particular. Friendly, helpful, attentive but not intrusive. Showed a genuine interest in all guests and generally a really nice bloke. Breakfast was great, choice of full English, cerials croissants etc. Very clean and well presented. Would definitely stay there again if in tbe area.
Nothing I didn't like. I did expect there to be a restraunt on site because it said as much on booking. Com. That wasn't the case but it really didnt matter as there were so many places to eat less than 5 minutes walk, and it was perfectly ok with them to bring take away in too.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was nice with a good ensuite. My partner enjoyed the good sized bath with plenty of hot water. Plenty of teas and coffees with a pack of tasty biscuits and a sachet of hot chocolate. Choice at breakfast was very good and the chef was welcoming and very helpful. The hotel building itself looked really interesting and despite there being lots of shops, restaurants and pubs in the street at the end of the road, the hotel was quiet with lovely birdsong in the morning. A great place to stay.
The only thing i wasn't keen on was that i felt the pillows were hard but thats personal choice and i am sure that if i mentioned it they would proably have found a softer pillow. As we were only there for 1 night i didnt think this was a big problem and i slept well.

The location was great lovely and quiet, short walk to the end of the road and you have everything you need. great parking, well lit at night. the breakfast was as expected, the staff were amazing.
The family room at the top floor. I have a hard time going up the stairs. so the climb was hard. We got there when the weather was really hot, the little fan in the room didn't do much to cool us down. would defiantly stay there when the weather is cooler, but when hot, better to stay in air conditioned hotels.

It has a family feel. Exercent value with free off road parking. The staff are all wonderful and the lovely man at breakfast went above and beyond making sure I had gluten free bread and sausages. The rooms are great and had extra fans in them as it was a very warm day when I visited. It is perfectly placed in Headingley for the local bars and restaurants. The nearby curry house was very good as I arrived late to the hotel.
I could do with a lift as I have a bit of a dodgy knee but the stairs are not too bad.

Everything! The location was perfect. Took us a pleasant 45 mins to walk to The Headrow. The hotel is full of character and very homely. Lots of original features and we loved that it hasn't been overly modernised. If you're looking for old style character, it's right here. The staff are all lovely, especially the night porter Paul. Our room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was delicious with quite a bit of variety. We would 100% stay here again. Great value.

It was perfect for Headingley stadium and that it also had parking and was very close to local coffee shops etc. I suppose this is why the price is a little high for what it is. The building is beautiful and old. The staff were amazing and so helpful. We would stay again because of where it is.
Our bedroom had a new bed which was so comfortable and furniture was new to. The decor was a little run down and peeling a little. The shower over the bath was horrendous, even though I tried to control it because it was so powerful we ended up with water over the floor even though I put the shower curtain to try and stop it.. it just needs a little bit of money spent to freshen it up. Be aware that there are hundreds of students in this area so very busy in pubs at weekends.
