We were a party of 30 all women gathered for a crafting/art event. The conference room was generous and airy with WC easy to access and close. The arrangement of bars and lounge space made for really nice areas to gather and chatter in the evenings without it feeling cramped. We could have drinks or simply gather without pressure which was lovely. My room was huge by uk standards and very nice. Bathrooms with both bath and shower separate is great. The Spa area swimming pool gym and sauna were wonderful . The tiling a little tired but clean and the pool is a big size for a hotel and opening at 6.30am and closing late allowed me to swim every morning before our group started and for others to swim after we finished. The staff were friendly helpful and keen to please. There was a nice relax vibe a little chaotic at times but not so it spoilt our enjoyment. All in all I hope our group choose to come here again.

The food was good but rather old fashioned and the service slow The choices a little heavy not much for those wanting a healthy choice eg battered fish , burgers , pate and pie & chips . The salads were a little chunky and not refined . On the flip side I have not had such good breakfast for a while it was fresh very hot and a super range of choices. During a three night stay I ate out after the first night and with a lighter bite option I would have eaten in.

The staff were all really friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were upgraded when we arrived, which was amazing. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. We went to the bar for a drink after we checked in. The bar is stylish with plenty of seating. There is also space to sit outside when the weather is nice. When went for dinner in the evening at Hathaway’s pub. It was cosy and the staff were fantastic. The food was delicious and filling. Great choice on the menu. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try the spa, but they had some great deals on. A great little stay!

Price of wine is expensive, but it seems to be expensive everywhere now.

Booked this hotel due to having a funeral to attend & arriving from Cornwall. Had a room on the ground floor not to far from the reception area due to having 2 dogs, 1 of which is a 5 month Dalmatian puppy. All the staff were amazing & very very friendly not just to us but especially the 2 dogs. We could take them with us to breakfast although not actually in the breakfast room which was perfect as they still got fussed whenever someone walked past. Evening meal in the restaurant was good both times we visited & the dogs were allowed in with us too. Rooms were spacious, clean & very warm. Would book again if availability allows.

The conservatory was extremely cold due to an ill fitting open window while we were having our evening meal, so we did change table. Beds & pillows were a little hard for our liking. Additional charge for the dogs was a tad on the expensive side, although the dogs were fussed by all staff & guests.

loved everything about property only downside was check was 11am but heard a knock at the door at 10.30 (was taking a quick shower as shower was lovely) then shortly after 5/10min they actually came into the room but yet check out wasn't untill 11am so really they should be coming in untill check out time is past and actually check first with reception that the guests have checked out so in one sense that was the only downfall but apart from that staff along the way was very lovely and welcoming

The location of his hotel is excellent, as are its facilities which was made evident by the amount of people using them. I liked the room, it was spacious and clean. We just stayed one evening but the hotel was very busy. However the corridor was very quiet. In the rooms they had a heater and a fan, which we loved as it was a hot day! Not all hotels provide this, so we were impressed. I used both the pool and the gym. Although the gym was small, there was a lot of equipment. The pool facilities were great. A lovely pool with spa and sauna. I would visit again!

The bed in the room was very hard. My husband loved it, but it was too hard for me. I would imagine that most people would feel the same as me.

Lovely, friendly staff, from check-in to the excellent New Years Eve Gala night. Spent 2 nights in a twin room, and it was clean, comfortable, and warm..bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and had everything, continental and cooked. Location is easy to find just off the motorway and car parking plentiful. We checked in a bit early and were able to leave our luggage while waiting for our room. Staff at Reception were extremely helpful. Spa facilities are good ,especially the steam and sauna and staff at the leisure centre are friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this Hotel and will return in the future!

The bar food was not very appetising, and having to queue and give a table number rather than waiter service was a bit disappointing ,especially as you pay restaurant prices. It would be much nicer if the Brassiere restaurant was open for dinner. Other than that , everything was tip-top 😊

It was really nice to sit outside in the beer garden and enjoy the warm weather to the sound of golf balls being zipped through the air on the driving range next to us. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the option of spending time in the pool, jacuzzi and sauna etc, even after check out was wonderful.

It was a shame that we weren't able to book any treatments while we were staying as the sessions were booked out. The hotel has a very unusual layout so it was quite far to our rooms and then we got lost every time we tried to head to the restaurant etc.

The hotel was really nice , room was clean, staff were really helpful and friendly. We had a meal in Hathaway's bar and the food and service was really good would go again. We had an overnight stay the breakfast was fresh and plenty of choice .

The only downside was we had use of the pool and sauna ,had jacuzzi and steam room . It was meant to be relaxing but the pool area and ,steam room ,jacuzzi and sauna were full of children and they were very loud I'm sure there's a health and safety issue that children shouldn't be allowed in the sauna,jacuzzi and steam room. Yes the pool but I do think it spoils the spa experience. Oh and the pillows weren't very comfortable on the bed. But other than that we had a great stay

Upon arrive receptionist guy said room wasn't ready but directed me to get a drink, a minute later he has found me to tell me my room is ready and they'll bring a crib, the lady brings a crib to room immediately and upgrades my room to a bigger room so baby could sleep with me as I explained he doesn't actually like travel cots, lovely lady. After a really tough morning and a last minute booking, I was so grateful for them both to let me check in early and then upgrade my room. All staff were lovely and I didn't want to leave haha, it's not always easy being a first time mom, also my first solo night trip with baby and these little touches put me at ease and really perked me up.

One small thing, pillows were a little hard for me 😂

The staff was friendly. The reception was very friendly 10+. The beakfast was very, very good.

The room/bathroom could use an upgrade. Outside by the seating area it was full of cigarette butts. (I don't smoke myself.) The garden behind the pub could do with some work. There were also cigarette butts in the parking spaces in front. Airco in the rooms would be great. But there was a blower in wardrobe. But I must say it was very hot outside.
