The lodge is very neat and comfortable. The weather was cold, but we didn't feel it because there was a fireplace which made the rooms nicely warm. The electric blankets kept us warm at night. The staff member was very friendly and explained everything about the facility. There is a Wifi connection and TV which kept us entertained. The rooms were very cozy and the beds were very comfortable. How can I forget the beautiful view,I wish it was summer. In the morning, we had a scrumptious breakfast, which sustained us the whole day. Good value for money. Thank you!

The chairs we had in our room were a bit wobbly...couldn't really sit on it. My son used it to work on his laptop but found it unsteady. We found a solution though....so no big deal. Just thought I'd mention it. Maybe you can have a look at it.

Firstly, Appel, the owner is amazing and made us feel so welcome. We loved the ease of location just off the N2 and thought it would be noisy at night, but it was peaceful. (a great location away from the hustle and bustle of Knysna center, but within walking distance or a short drive to the center) The lodge overlooks the lagoon and is a lovely sight to wake up to in the mornings. I was surprised and happy that breakfast was included and exceeded my expectations. Was an enjoyable 2-night stay and is really good value for money. I will recommend to clients and friends wishing for a decently priced self-catering lodge in Knysna. Thank you Appel and Lagoon Lodge.

The view eating breakfast was absolutely beautiful, we could see the lagoon and if you sit at the window Knysna Heads as well.

The noise in the morning, because we stayed at the bottom room. The bathroom did not have a handle in the inside of the door. There was no bowl to use in microwave.

We had a view over the lagoon. Beautifull. The breakfast is something I cannot explain. Made with a lot of love. John (Appel) and Frikkie makes people feel so welcome and at home. I will not book anywhere else if there is available rooms. Only time I will book elsewhere is when there is not rooms available.

The shelf in the bathroom sticks out over the hand basin too far. I bumped my head on the shelf while bending down to shave. The drain for the shower seems to be blocked . Perhps the big pot holes in the road to the lodge can be filled with some cement ?

Excellent, delicious breakfast; hospitable, helpful and friendly staff; comfortable bed, quality linen and a lovely view. Great value for money.

A little noise from a motor of some sort until 10.30pm, no plug/ telephone charger next to bed. Bathroom a little tired - a few modern bathroom accessories like hooks, a chair, a shelf, a longer towel rail and a modern, clean looking shower caddy would make a huge difference. Mugs for coffee instead of those impractical, shallow cups.

The host Apple was very friendly and helped us with early check in as well as upgraded our room for free.. Loved the breakfast too.. The view from the room was beautiful... Well maintained property..

As good as ever …. Amazing welcome, large comfortable rooms with decent water pressure in the shower and a delicious freshly cooked breakfast

Proximity to N2 makes it a little noisy but it’s worth it for the stunning views

Good value for money and amazing views from the balcony. Breakfast was freshly cooked and great. Lights during load shedding which was fantastic and a big plus!

A bit of noise due to the proximity to the N2 but quiet enough when the door was closed Restaurants and shops not within walking distance
