A wonderful large old hotel with lots of different spaces to enjoy and good amenities (restaurant serving evening meals and continental-style breakfast, bar, outdoor areas, open fires, library, games/tv room, large east-west facing balconies). The staff were helpful and we appreciated the trainee staff and their assistance. Congratulations on being a training platform for people with disabilities and providing an inclusive environment. Very special.

This is a lovely large old hotel and would be difficult (due to cost and size) to heat all areas in winter. I wore my 'puffer coat' most of the time, unless I was in a warm room like the dining room or bar (open log fires) or room (which has a wall heater). Not an issue, just caution for others to bring layers/warm clothes.

Cannot wait to return to Hotel Etico! This beautiful hotel is situated in the stunning Mount Victoria at the top of the Blue Mountains. I could talk about the amazing room, the location of the hotel, the facilities etc. but for me, this hotel is something more than all of that. It’s a hotel with heart. The staff go absolutely above and beyond to make your stay amazing. Big shout out to Lexi and Michael. They were both incredible, but honestly, so was everyone! Cannot recommend this stay highly enough!

Nothing, I had a superb time.

We arrived in time for dinner and ate at Niccolos at the hotel. It was wonderful seeing how patient the supervisors were with the young people who were living with disability and employed in various capacities. The food was some of the best italian we had ever had. We had a very comfortable night in a clean, well apportioned room and then breakfast had very personal service with an exceptional range of options. Will definitely be staying here again.

Our room was near to the bar area and it was a bit noisy at times during the evening and then as people passed in the morning.

Breakfast was ok...being that it was1 degrees outside and windy . I think the staff are doing an amazing job . The place obviously needs some upgrades but it was comfortable and the toast was brown and the coffee was hot and the eggs were delicious.

Not much to dislike but it was a very old building. We thought it all added to the charm...but it was the the staff who were delightful.. Katsy and Kate and the chef who made a great pumpkin soup...we will be back

The staff and food were excellent. Dinner was delicious and fresh. Rooms beautiful and well appointed using the old world charm of the building. Bar, restaurant and library superb and we sat in front of the fire to relax after dinner. Our servers were personable , friendly, quick and efficient and made us feel welcome and at home. The property has so much history and we loved thet it is also a social enterprise in addition to being a fabulous hotel with great atmosphere. Breakfast had great variety and was again fresh, well cooked, and delicious. Located in the middle of things to do and easy walks to pretty places and attractions like the station and museum. We loved it and will be back soon!

The only thing we found a little difficult was the shower - it was a removable gadget which wouldn't stay in the cradle when on strong enough to shower, so we had to hold it.

We loved everything, the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as great as possible. Our room didnt have tea and coffee facilities in it as advertised but the bar staff kindly made us up tea and coffee when we wanted it and delivered it to our rooms. We had dinner in the restaurant as well which was fantastic - again the staff were amazing and the food was sooo good and also the breakfast which was also a winner! Thankyou for an amazing holiday.

The friendliness and welcoming attitude of the staff. Nothing was a problem and they accommodated all our requests where possible. The room was spacious, immaculate and cosy. We were fortunate that the day was not super hot as it has been so it was nice to be in the room. However, if it was a 35 degree day, the room I imagine would get really stuffy as the windows only open a few inches (for safety reasons) and there is only a small table fan. The beds were divine and if you're just having a chill day it is a great place to get lost in. The shower is tremendously spacious and the pressure was steady. The restaurant and bar are top notch in service, cocktails and quality and flavour of the food. The common balcony on the first floor was a lovely spot for a "sun downer" overlooking Mt Victoria.

ohhhhh.... the internet was woeful. Failure to connect, constant drop outs, speeds not seen since the days of dial up. However, that's my only gripe in the big scheme of things. If you're there to unwind, detox from tech or go bush walking, this would not even be an issue. I like to watch Netflix before bed, what can I say.

We were so happy to find this little place in Mount Victoria. We traveled by car but the hotel is very close to the train station. We both enjoyed every bit of staying there. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff members were busy working hard and training at the same time but provided us with a very warm professional services. Quiet candle light dinner was very nice and food was tasty. Surroundings of the hotel is also very peaceful. Thank you all for your hospitality.

The hotel was immaculate, beautiful heritage, the furniture the decor takes you back in time not to mention its original. The host was so friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The first time in my life to visit a hotel that looked better than the pictures. Breakfast was lovely in a beautiful space. The hotel was so clean and neat, we wish we had time to stay longer but we will be back.

Lovely hotel with a history. Super friendly staff, good and healthy breakfast, clean and spacious room.

Some design faults : 1) The ceiling-mounted bedside lamps are too low, the lamp covers are either face-touching or shoulder-touching when we stood near. 2) The two table surfaces beside the bed are also too low. They are ergonomically unfriendly, uncomfortable to work on the laptop while sitting on a chair. 3) Power sockets are underneath the low table surfaces. We almost had to crawl to plug in our charging adaptors, very uncomfortable. 4) While the window curtains are beautiful, but we don't understand why they are probably two feet too long. The excess fabric lying on the floor can be accident-prone.
