This is a lovely guest house with friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent. It was chilly during our stay in Sheringham but we had a radiator which was on when we needed it and made our room very welcoming. The room was tidied up every day and tea/coffee etc replenished. We could come and go as we pleased. We like to play cards and we were allowed to do so using breakfast room tables.

Our room was a standard double. A hook on the back of the bathroom door and somewhere to put toiletries in the shower would have improved the bathroom facilities for us. Also a towel rail in the bathroom would have been good.

Quiet street with on street parking. Easy flat access into the town, station & buses. Excellent cooked breakfasts with a good choice. Ordered the night before via a slip. This wasn't a problem for us, but some people may not like this. Help yourself to fresh fruit, yoghurt & cereals. Landlord & Landlady were helpful in sorting out the few queries we had. If in the area we would stay here again.

While the property is generally tidy, I think it needs a general decorating update.

Highfield Guest House has got to be one of the best properties to stay at in Sheringham, perhaps even the best. The location is superb with easy access to both the town and sea-front from different directions. The property itself is very clean and well organised. The introduction of a beer garden and bar out the back is welcome. The breakfast is excellent as well with the best scrambled eggs I have ever had! The hosts are kind, respectful and go out of their way to accomodate.

The bathroom in the room I stayed was a tad cramped but I appreciate the effort to fit all the amenities in.

Hosts were very friendly..allowed us in when we arrived too early...guest house was very nice and festive, room clean comfy and warm. breakfasts were lovely, hot, fresh and quick. Dining room very nicely set out. Close enough to walk into town, loads of places to eat. Steam train 5 minutes away..Would definately stay there again.

Toiletries could be better,as in hair conditioner, could not get a comb through my hair after use.needs a bit better quality product , also maybe have some semi skimmed milk for tea making facilities . Only had full fat milk.

The location was very quiet and convenient for the town. Despite there being no onsite parking we parked easily on the street. Our room(superior double)with garden view was large and bright with a very comfortable bed. The refreshment tray was replenished daily and the bed remade. The breakfast at high field house was of superb quality and cooked really well. The hosts Sam and John were friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend.

Nothing not to like

From the very start on arrival at Highfield we were made to feel at home. John offered to carry up our luggage and explained all we needed to know . Our room had been thoroughly cleaned and had everything in we needed. An exceptional breakfast was on offer each day and cooked to perfection by Sam and served by their polite and smiling daughter. Despite their obviously busy lifestyle they all found the time to chat about our day and how our visit was going.This is by far the best B & B we have ever stayed in and highly reccommend it. You will not be dissappointed !

Absolutely nothing. We cannot speak highly enough of the Highfield.

Comfortable and very friendly and helpful hosts. Great location; within easy walking distance to the town - via the golf course was a particularly lovely route. Easy parking and great breakfasts plus our room was nicely maintained daily and well stocked with tea, coffee, towels etc

It sounds petty to say our room did not have a great view. This was completely out weighed by all the other benefits

Having booked only the day before travelling, I was REALLY pleased with my choice. A friendly welcome, a very clean room with a shower, a good selection of tea & coffee in the room. Very comfy bed. The room was tidied every day and the bins emptied. The breakfasts were outstanding; delicious and generous. A lovely touch was a chocolate Easter egg for every guest on Easter Sunday. I came to visit the North Norfolk Railway and was delighted to find that I could just catch sight of trains arriving and departing the station from my window, and hear the whistles and hissing of the locos. Sheringham is a lovely little town and I would definitely return, and Highfield would be my first choice. Thank you.

Situated near to town and beach on a very quiet residential area. Lovely owners - very friendly. Really loved the mixed fruit and yoghurt for breakfast! Delicious! Room had great TV with Netflix etc! WiFi was good too! Very clean, lovely bedroom decor and was warm and cozy. Good tea and coffee tray with biscuits. This is our second visit...such a great location for exploring the area!

Bed wasn't very comfy this time! Mattress was lumpy. The bathroom shower screen was black with mould at the base. It was a real shame because it was a good shower and a small but perfect en suite. Also, very difficult to fill the kettle in the tiny sink! We had to use a glass to fill it....

Scrambled eggs at breakfast worth travelling 110 miles for! All excellent food, comfortable very clean bedroom, nicely decorated. Lovely welcoming hosts, parking on street easy, close to sea and shops, great bathroom. Books and games available to borrow. Highly recommended.

There was no wardrobe but plenty of clothes hangers in corner and on back of door, fine for short break.
