We loved our stay here, it was exactly as shown in the photos. We had room 9, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sitting room and our little private outside space. Breakfast amazing, cooked to order and specials available - pancakes with banana and syrup. Honesty bar worked really well. All staff lovely and very helpful. Fantastic location, very safe and quiet on a night. Loved the extra touches, bathrobes and electric blankets on the bed for the chillier nights. Would not hesitate to stay again.

There was nothing we didn’t love.

I feel like it's a great place in summer, as the swimming pool is really nice and the room entrance is right next to it, so it's easy to change or bring stuff when you're at the pool. The room is very big, the bed is very comfy and the kitchen is well equipped, plus there is a bathtub in the bathroom. The breakfast was simple but good. We loved the Honesty Bar in the common room, such a lovely and clever idea - and you can make fire in the fireplace, too!

It was cold during our visit and the room got very cold. There is one heating/AC device right above the bed so you sweat at night but the rest of the room stays cold - especially the bathroom, as the windows there cannot be fully shut. Also the water in the wash basin never got warm, so it was altogether my coldest experience in South Africa. An extra radiator for the living room space/bathroom would help. Also, there is no door between the living room/kitchenette and the bedroom - a bit of a shake, as you can easily wake someone up when making tea or listening to music.

This hotel was a real find in beautiful Claremont which was a very safe place to stay in Cape Town. Parking of our car was completely secure and on the premises. The staff couldn't be any nicer and helpful if they tried. Breakfast was great and nothing was too much trouble for them to make something up. There was an 'honesty' bar which guests to use to have their favourite drink. There was also a fabulous swimming pool for those hot, humid days. Literally everything was thought about for comfort. It was also very quiet and close to lots of amenities and attractions nearby. Beautiful property.

I came to Cape Town as my mom was admitted to a nearby hospital. This place was like a mental & physical oasis for me during this difficult time. All the staff were friendly, it felt to me like being at "home". The breakfast was amazing, the location great, and the facility excellent. In fact, I have changed my travel plans for June/July so I can have my wife & kids staying at this place as well!

We are a family of 5 and they've placed us in two rooms adjacent to each other. The beds were really comfortable and clean. The lounge area is also very nice to chill out in the evenings with the family. Furthermore, perfect location to explore Cape Town and its surroundings. Also the breakfast was excellent. Plenty of high quality options to pick from. Last but not least (maybe most important): great staff from start to finish, extremely kind and very helpful.

Nothing really.

This guesthouse is in a suburban Cape Town location ideal for rest and comfort. You need Uber to get to central Cape Town and the usual attractions so not the best for first time visitors or those primarily interested in downtown Cape Town. But we were return visitors, having done the usual tourist attractions, so we were very pleased to relax and enjoy such a great guesthouse. We plan to return and highly recommend Wild Olive.

We were completely pleased and satisfied but, as noted, you may want to stay closer to Cape Town on a first visit.

The staff was very helpful. We loved how you collected our order for breakfast 1 day before to make sure there is no wait time in the morning. The food was super delicious, btw! We fell in love with the interior design in the entire house, including our private rooms. Too bad we could not use the pool as the weather was not the best but the garden and other common areas were super cozy. Highly recommended!

After a 5 week holiday in SA, I’m so glad we ended here. We stayed in the garden cottage which had ample space (including a small kitchen and lounge). Perfect for our toddler. The place was clean and serviced everyday and there was so much thought put into small details; from the camping cot provided; to the baby chair; amenities; breakfast organisation; parking etc. They thought of everything and anything additional could be bought or arranged e.g. laundry, dinner or beverages. The staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming.

It was a classy house that was artfully and practically converted into a B&B. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, even loaning us beach towels and getting up early to check us all out! Rooms are cleaned every day. The breakfasts were very tasty. There are adequate shelves and closet space; the bathrooms are convenient. The little parlor area is lovely to relax in. Everything is kept looking nice and homely, leading to a very welcoming feel.

I loved the location (very central, easy to get to and peaceful), the spacious size of the room/lounge as well as the bathroom. The bathroom was beautiful. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, served in a lovely sunny room overlooking the pool.

My only complaint is the lack of off-street parking. I reserved a parking spot for our car but it was being used by someone else when we returned from dinner so had to park in the street.
