Rooms were clean and the staff at reception were amazing. The hotel is in a central location close to shops and easy to access highway. Great to have the coffee shop downstairs.

For the price it would have been nice to have tissues and a soap larger than a five rand coin in the room. I feel that the rooms also need a little freshening up (stains in the sink, chipped paint) but it’s not a deal breaker. It is also quite noisy being in such a central location and you can’t keep the windows closed because as far as I could see there wasn’t air conditioning (but I could be wrong).

The location, the views and the proximity amenities. The stuff were very helpful, in fact the first day I landed at Cape Town my debit card was swallowed by the ATM and one of the stuff agreed to pay for my Uber as I had no money and I was to refund later. I was welcomed well, I stayed for five days and the stay was great. Daily house cleaning, communal kitchen that saves you money if you’re on a budget, the area is quiet yet you have everything you need around you including a mall and a train station. In fact I booked the residence because of all my choices, it’s the one that had the least negative remarks.

The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. The building has very nice facilities and is well located in terms of proximity to shops and restaurants. Overall it was a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Everytime after housekeeping left the room, our key cards stopped working and we had to reactivate the key every day of our stay. Our room also had an unpleasant scent so perhaps an airfreshner/diffuser would be handy in ensuring the rooms smell good. Additionally, someone in another room was smoking in the toilet so our toilet smelled like smoke. The aircons weren't working, but fans were provided by the staff. Room service would also be a nice addition. Finally, the toilets had 1-ply toilet paper which was surprising considering the amount we paid for the stay.

I loved the location, so convenient with easy access everywhere. I found staff to be accommodating, friendly, polite and helpful. I did not make use of any of the amenities like breakfast or massage or anything but they looked fantastic and if I stayed again I would make use of these for sure. All in all my stay was great, I didn't want to leave and I'd definitely recommend it to all my friends.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Stayed at Neighborgood Newlands for 5 days and I had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are incredibly clean and tidy, and the bed comfortable. The location is great for reaching the airport, City Bowl or Eastern Cape and has enough shops nearby for any of your needs. Ample parking available. The staff is incredibly kind, and helpful. Food at their Cafe is very tasty; kitchen closes half an hour before closing time. I would happily stay again, it's a very comfortable hotel. Didn't try the gym or spa.

I never figured out settings of the aircon, so some instructions may be nice. The WiFi on the top floor was unstable, although I have to say management are currently undergoing works to correct this. What requires improvement is the breakfast service at peak times; the team on the Good Cafe gets a bit flustered when there's many people arriving at the same time, and delays should be expected. The pool area could be made to look a bit nicer too, and the staff better clued on whether pool towels are provided or not.

Excellent Location, Close to shops, restaurants and Cavendish Square mall. Room was clean,neat and ideal for a solo traveller whether on business or leisure. Food at the restaurant was great. Staff provided excellent service, friendly and very helpful. Special Mentions to Edward and Kanyisa, although all staff was just as amazing.

The only issue I had was that the restaurant closes at 3pm on sunday, so no dinner service, however you can go to one of the nearest restaurants such as Tigers Milk, Hudsons Burger etc.

I like the fact that the location is close to Cape Urology - the hospital and it is not far from the shopping center. The staff - receptionists, the coffee shop, and the cleaners were superb. I will not hesitate to use the facility again or recommend it to my friends especially when the shortcomings are fixed.

However, I was disappointed that the heater in the rooms did not work for most of the days I spent there. It was really cold. I could not watch the Television because it was coded or tied to the fact that I must have been using the stations at home.

I loved the friendly staff. They were welcoming and helpful. They allowed us to store our luggage as we ended up checking in earlier than we had expected. My mom and I felt really safe. The room and bathroom were comfortable. We have no complaints on that score. We enjoyed the WiFi as well as the Netflix. The breakfast was delicious in their restaurant. The area was perfect. There were picturesque restaurants and houses to see as we walked around. We stumbled on a cute market, where we could buy candles, delicious smoothies and other trinkets. The overall vibe was very relaxing. I regret not having time to take advantage of their yoga classes. Maybe next time!

It's important that you log out of your Netflix or Disney profile before you check out. I had some trouble with that process. If you wish to stay a couple of hours longer, you will have to pay a fee. It's better to check out before the time or on time. I fell ill and needed an extra three hours of sleep. The fee was quite hefty for my pocket.

Great amenities, value for money, great location, and the staff was quite friendly. There is adequate security on the property which made one feel quite secure. The hotel is also within walking distance to the Newlands Cricket Stadium.

The rooms need a refurb and some external facilities in the background need maitanance like th gym. I understand the hotel is a relatively modern but repairs and replacing some old stuff would make a lot of sense to ensure more people return.

The Lady at Reception was amazing. She was helpful, friendly and professional. It was my birthday. She found a vase my for my roses. Many thanks!

We had asked for a late check-out. The lovely lady at Reception was off on the weekend and 2 men had replaced her. I had told her that we were happy to pay for this service. Our flight was only at 5pm that day. There was no trust that I would pay! Someone knocked on my door twice on Sunday morning. The reason for my delay - Both my daughter and I were sick. Me more than her. I called her and made her pay to avoid a third knock. I can only imagine that some guests would leave without paying, but learn to know your guests. We had lots of luggage, so there was no way we would be able to slip away.
