The room was very clean, spacious with a nice sized closet for storage. Bathroom was very good size with a large walk-in shower and a window. Each unit has their own entrance which I really like. Parking was right outside the units. There are 10 units in the main building and even though it was almost fully booked, it was incredibly quiet. Checkin was really easy - received a text message with instructions and I just followed the instructions, got my key and simply entered my apartment. The location for me was really good. Right on a main street that goes from Vaals to Aachen. I could walk right outside in the morning, turn left onto the sidewalk and in a few minutes I was at the Bakery (Kickartz) to grab a coffee. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants within minutes by foot with 3 major grocery stores within walking distance (2 are within a few minutes walk, the other probably about 10 minutes or so). There is a bus stop about 1 minute from the property. I noticed that a few comments mentioned road noise. Yes, the road is well travelled (it is only a 2 lane road with a 50km/h speed limit) but it did not bother me at all. And by evening time and into the night, the amount of traffic is minimal. As a tip for dog owners....I booked on booking.com as the price was very competitive with what Campus had on their Website AND booking.com offered no extra charge for the dog whereas the Campus website required a small fee. I highly recommend Campus Boardinghouse for a basic, clean, well equipped and good value for your money accommodation.

I always like a dishwasher and this kitchen did not have one.

Easy parking right in front of door, very clean, good location (safe neighborhood close to shops), good wifi.

I didn’t get instructions for check in until 2 hours after first available check in time, despite me messaging the property 24 hours in advance to ask them how check in worked. I received a message via booking with an accusing tone saying I’d provided a landline number only and no mobile. I don’t have a landline and my mobile number is up to date on Booking. As I arrived later, this didn’t delay my access to the room, but it seemed disorganised. I do lockbox self check ins in other properties very often - it’s not hard to do properly. Also the studio was warm when I arrived but then the heating automatically shut off at about 21:00 and never came back on.

The location was perfect for us on our way from Aachen towards Maastricht by bike. I liked the separate access to the room, which was tidy and clean and perfect for my one-night stay. I love the fact that everything was automatised (no human interference was needed), we got the keys instantly from the safe boxes and we could just drop the key at the end.

My room was facing the main road, so it was a little bit noisy.

The room is spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. There is a good shower and excellent wifi. There is free parking on site. It is only a 10 minute drive to the city centre.

The bathroom has a clear glass door, which provides no privacy at all. The kitchenette is very small and not really suitable for cooking as opposed to just heating things up. The property backs onto a busy road, so is noisy if you have the window open (but well sound proofed if you don't).

Great apartment! Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location is fantastic, close to all the main attractions. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We would love to come back!

Quiet building par excellence, everything is available, close to transportation, in addition to its location on the side of the mountain. Good service. I requested to extend my stay for one night, and this was possible provided I paid in cash!

The coffee was insufficient, and the same type was not available in a nearby store😁.

The location is great. Belgium and Holland are within walking distance :) The heating is very good so we stayed with our young daughter without any problems. The room and beds were very clean. The bathroom was quite good :)

It was cold when we got in the room and we at first didn't know how to turn up the heat. We figured it out so by the middle of the night it was too warm. It just took a little while for the foot radiant heat to warm up the room.

Spacious apartment with kitchen, big bathroom and really comfortable bed. The heating was excellent even it was freezing outside. It is located in Vaals, which is a much more beautiful small town than Aachen.

It has been difficult to contact staff before, during and after our stay. The toilet has a glass door that is too delicate and not very comfortable.
