Exceptional, situated in a tropical garden in the grounds of a private gated estate. A short walk to a quiet beach perfect for swimming and surfing. The in-house cuisine was excellent with fresh seafood and meat with the crunchiest freshest vegetables I’ve ever eaten. 10/10. Each night they had live music which was a massive bonus. The music wasn’t loud and in your face, more a perfect in harmony with the environment and the guests. One last thing is the guests, a really interesting eclectic mix of people with a really friendly and interesting outlook.

Absolutely nothing.

It’s a nice laid-back oasis only a few minutes walk from the beach, and a quick boat ride to Tamarindo. Best of both worlds. The staff were amazing, the pool was lovely and the live music at night was fun. I had a great stay.

The beds are not super comfortable and the room could use a refresh, but it was good for a few nights.

This is the sort of place you will love or regret. We were much closer to the former partly as it was just five nights of a three week stay in the country. An enjoyable novel experience with a very nice pool area. The lovely but exposed beach is 15 minutes walk away (so for sunset) and you can easily reach Tamarindo on an each way $5 river shuttle from the hotel returning by 5pm. Not feasible any later by road. In the evening they often have live music (average) and the food is good but the soft and alcoholic drinks are expensive so bring your own for your room or patio. There is a small supermarket very near by, quite expensive too but much cheaper than the hotel. The $35 per head boat tour from the hotel through the mangroves was enjoyable but don’t expect to see much wild life really.

The atmosphere was very friendly, this is a small green oasis next to noisy Tamarindo. Bartenders are great, the vibe is chilled and hippy Our favourite guests were groupies from San Diego :D

Food in the restaurant was good but could be better, meat was dry

Breakfast was great, the place had a nice and chill vibe and the music event on Sunday was fun. Staff were nice and really helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and had a safe which was appreciated.

We did have some challenges getting there and communication around where to get the boat from. We were sent a map pin which wasn't clear and found it difficult to contact reception. We felt it was a little overpriced for what it was as the rooms could have done with a bit more TLC (missing bulb, dodgy lock etc).

The entire vibe is set by Phil and his wonderful staff. Our family cannot wait to return to this very special place!!

There isn’t anything I can think of that I didn’t like. It was a place that was full of love in all directions. There’s nothing better than that

A lovely, peaceful getaway! Staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming! On site restaurant was tasty, and breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend the pina coladas as well! Nice clean and cool pool! Comfy and giant bed!

Bit of a distance to get to Tamarindo, but there is a spot right by the hotel that you can catch a water taxi across, so not really a negative.

We loved being on an estuary close to the rain forest. A ten minute water taxi to Tamarindo & a shor twalk to the beach.

Shuttle service was rather exhorbitant to & from Liberia airport ( $120) each way

We had a great experience here! Ernesto was the absolute best! He greeted us with a huge smile, checked us in, and helped us navigate the area. Such a great welcoming vibe at this hotel.
