The location is perfect for a short stay. It's right in the centre of Saltash. It's so convenient to get to most areas in Cornwall. Plymouth was 10 minutes, Truro an hour and 10, Newquay 1hour, Looe just 30 mins. It's so close to the Tamar bridge you can see it ! The room is the best one. The pub has recently been renovated, it's new tenants are doing an amazing job! Downstairs, and outside has all been decorated. Some new furniture too. I believe most hotel rooms have been painted, however some of the furniture needs updating. Our room has had a brand new shower installed and re-tiled, however the sink, flooring and fixtures require updating. The double bed is excellent, the mattress is a great quality M&S Sprung. The single bed was comfortable, with a standard mattress. Wardrobe and draws are functional, there are only two bedside cabinets, it requires 3. However, we made do with a chair. The dressing table, again is functional. It is dated has a chair but held up well with only 3 legs? Lol (it was there the last 2 years, but is functional) There is a flatscreen t.v. with free view limited channels. (You're not here to watch t.v. you're here to sightsee generally). There is a kettle with tea & coffee facilities. Towels were all provided, everything was very clean too. Suggested upgrades at minimal cost.... replacement wardrobes, draws dressing table and side tables, easily found on Facebook market place. A small fridge is a definite requirement as well as the t.v being mounted on the wall. (It would free up room space). The bathroom only needs the sink and flooring updating with a bulb replacement in the light above the sink, as well as additional towel rail, small bathroom cupboard to store your toiletries etc. Again, needs simple replacement wall-art, cheap enough 2nd hand. On the whole a great room but dated. The STAFF CANNOT BE FAULTED, THEY ARE 100 % WONDERFUL GENUINE PEOPLE, NOTHING IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE. The food is 10-10!!!

The stairs to the first floor, only as my mum and aunt are 80 and 87. They managed them, however, there is no expectation of a lift being put in. The car park holds around 10 cars, but does get busy, there is a large carpark just around the corner (the back of the co-op) which has just had electric vehicle chargers fitted.

Great food on offer and we enjoyed the sharing starter's. nice clean pub and the rooms were very big, if needing some updates. but it's a well placed hotel pub in Saltash. the staff were very nice and overall we thoroughly enjoyed out stay. we would stay again and it has free parkingat the back..

nothing really. the rooms could do with updating and the mattress we had in room 5 the family room was way to spongey fir us, but as we said we still enjoyed our time and it was only for a getta way for one night

Great little budget stay in a lovely local pub with rooms. Obviously you could hear the pub downstairs until closing time and they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays, but we didn't mind that. Anyway, it was great to be able to pop down for a nightcap after a long drive! A very warm welcome from the lovely women running the bar, who showed us to our modest but clean and well appointed rooms. Fresh, clean linen, toiletries and tea and coffee making stuff. Quick check out. It was all we needed and at a fantastic price. Very pleased with our choice; well done Brunel Inn.

It was a bit noisy, being a pub, but again we were fine with that. Generally no complaints. One helpful addition might be a couple of extra pillows, which is more comfortable if you suffer gastric reflux, or just sleep better with your head raised. And an optional extra blanket would be good.

Great value for money, they keep everywhere super clean, food was fantastic and clearly home cooked which is so rare these days. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Brilliant for families and dogs too!! Rooms were simple but pleasant, shower and bath were clean with the water able to get hot and stay consistent temperatures! Beds were relatively comfortable too. All in all a pleasant stay.

Food only served evenings wed - sun but website menus suggest breakfast options & no mention of that online so perhaps just update the information if increasing service times isn't an option. Food was so lovely Wednesday night it's just a shame we couldn't eat there more often! Also- the rooms get very hot so might be worth looking at some fans or Aircon.

Very well priced. Staff very helpful. Very basic no frills accommodation.

Lack of hot tub. And no 1930s wine on tap. Black tie suit for eating meals could be relaxed? Food menus in Cornish a nice touch, but very confusing for non speakers. Staff entertainment as Morris dancer's very poor. Needs more rehearsals. Nativity set up in lounge not a good ideal. ( even for Christmas) Donkey braying kept me awake, along with the smell of incense.

Excellent value for the cost, the staff were excellent as was the owner, The car park was safe as we all arrived on our motorbikes. There was live music which was a bonus. We also decided to eat here and the food was good and very resonable.

The only critique was that there was no option for breakfast, and on a Sunday the only place that was open did so at 10.00am ( It was excellent though )

Great location. Good food. Staff were very helpful. They allow dogs. Hurray. My room was clean and tidy.

I stopped on a Saturday night. I had a front bedroom and you can hear the traffic. But all was quiet by 11 -12 o'clock. The bathroom could do with a bit of tlc, but it was very clean. The bath panel kept popping off.

The room was very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. The beds were comfortable too .We were given our own key to come and go as we pleased without going through the bar

The car park was quite crowded the first night and the second night we had to park on the road as there wasn’t enough room for us to park . However that shows that business was good so shouldn’t complain . A little noisy on the Friday night but quietened down as soon as the pub closed .

Liked: STAFF: Continuously helpful, recomended a restaurant on our arrival (called'Foreign Muck') and was one of the best on our whole holiday. LOCATION: Amazing, on approach, from East, you see Brunel's last masterpiece a stunning bridge, and you stay in a pub just walking distance from it called the Brunel Inn, perfect :).

It was hot and uncomfortable to sleep, however, that was the luck of the draw, for what we paid we couldn't expect airconditioning :).
